간호사의 업무갈등 (Clinical Nurses Professional Conflicts)

  • Purpose: This study aims to find the sources of nurses' conflicts and to find ways to eliminate them for improved nursing care. Method: This study is based on a phenomenological approach. All participants were woking at K-hospital, located in Seoul. The research was performed from September 2000 to February 2001. Data was collected through interviews and observations while participants were working. Interviews lasted a duration of one and half hours and data collection accured five to six times per participant. The data were analysed by Giorgi method and the results are as follows: Result: Essential themes in the professional conflict of clinical nurses emerged (1) The discords of human relationships ; (2) Dissatisfaction with working conditions ; (3) Lack of self-respect in one's professional expertise ; (4) Dissatisfaction with one's work ; (5) Depression accurring due to one's ability as a professional. Conclusion: The foregoing arguments suggest that nurses perform stressful environments in a hospital originating from the relationship among peer group, working conditions, and lack of self-respect as a nurses. Therefore, hospital authorities should strangly consider working conditions, interpersonal relationships, and working conditions in order to promote self-respect of the nurses hospitals.

작업만족과 Ergonomics에 관한 개념적 고찰 (A Conceptional Review of Work Satisfaction & Ergonomics)

  • In this paper an attempt is tried to answer the following questions : What does ergonomics have to do with work satisfaction\ulcorner Is there more satisfaction when ergonomics have applied in the design of work\ulcorner Is ergonomics important for work satisfaction\ulcorner This paper is started by defining the concept of satisfaction and ergonomics which is still at a comparatively early stage of development, and the effect of this in practice is that the majority of ergonomics assignments involve research. And then there discussions difficult theories of motivation and satisfaction such as Maslow' theory and Horzberg's theory. And in this paper I'll try to formulate the logical consequences of those theories for the relation between ergonomics and satisfaction. Finally I'll conclude with some ideas about the significance of ergonomics satisfaction. The level of satisfaction experienced with one's work is a complete function of the degree to which different values connected with work and with its concomitant results are attained, the opportunities perceived for the attainment of these values, the relative advantages and disadvantages of the work situation compared with that of other people, and personality and cultural determinants. As for ergonomics, the ergonomist's comprehension will need in future to encompass more of the emotional, attitudinal and motivational facts of working people. Ergonomically - designed work will not produce high degrees of satisfaction, but absence of ergonomics in design will be connected with some dissatisfaction. So this paper suggest s that ergonomics has some significance for work satisfaction and that social Psychological efforts to enhance work satisfaction cannot easily succeed without taking into account human-factors principles.

신생아중환자실 간호사의 업무 스트레스, 이직의도 및 소진에 관한 연구 (Work Stress, Turnover Intention and Burnout among Nurses in Neonatal Intensive Care Units)

  • Purpose: This study was done to identify differences in work environment, work stress, turnover intention and burnout and investigate the relationship among these variables in nurses in Korean Neonatal Intensive Care Units. Method: Participants were 242 nurses working in 13 general hospitals. Burnout was measured by the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI), work stress with the instrument by Gu & Kim (1994), and turnover intention with the scale by Kim & Lee (2001). Size of the NICU, nurse to patient ratio, and communication satisfaction were included in work environment. Data were analyzed using Pearson correlation coefficients and multiple regression analysis with SPSS WIN program. Results: The mean score for work stress in NICU nurses was 3.43 points, for burnout, 2.72 points, and for turnover intention, 4.64 points. Burnout and turnover intention level of participants were moderate-high. Work stress, communication dissatisfaction with physician, and clinical career accounted for 33% of variance in burnout. Significant differences were found between size of NICU and staffing related to environmental characteristics in turnover intention and burnout. Conclusions: Results indicate that effective communication with coworkers and institutional support for appropriate staffing according to number of beds will help to prevent work stress, burnout, and ultimately, nurses' resignations.

조선업 작업장의 작업환경 및 산업용 보호복의 착의실태 (The Work Environment and Wearing Conditions of Industrial Protective Clothing in Shipbuilding Workshops)

  • This study examined the work environment and wearing conditions of industrial protective clothing in shipbuilding workshops. It also investigated the relationship between the wearing sensation of industrial protective clothing and overall comfort, according to work process. In addition, the work posture according to work process was evaluated based on ergonomic factors. The wearing rate of industrial protective clothing was 73.3%, 66.7%, and 60.1% for workers engaged in welding, grinding, and painting, respectively. The harmful work environment factors, listed from most harmful to least harmful, were found to be high temperature pyrogens, noxious fumes, organic solvents, UV rays, and heavy dust. The aspect of wearing performance of industrial protective clothing that was most related to user dissatisfaction was poor sweat absorbency. In terms of the correlation between the overall comfort and the wearing sensation of industrial protective clothing, the satisfaction was low shown in orders of physiological comfort, sensual comfort, and movement comfort.

지방 독점 백화점 고객들의 전환행동에 관한 연구 (Study on the Switching behavior of Customers of Local Monopolistic Department Store)

  • 대형 백화점들의 다점포화전략, 할인점의 증가, 무점포업태의 성장 등으로 지방 백화점 고객들이 점포 전환을 용이하게 할 수 있는 유통환경이 조성되고 있다. 따라서 그동안 제한된 경쟁상황에서 영업활동을 해 온 지방 백화점들은 고객전환행동에 대한 폭넓은 이해를 필요로 하고 있다. 본 연구는 지방 독점백화점 고객들의 전환행동 특성파악을 위해 선행연구를 검토한 후 유통환경의 급격한 변화속에서 고객들의 전환행동 특성을 불만즉요인, 전환장벽, 전환의도, 고객육특성(쇼핑향유성향, 다양성추구성향, 경쟁에의 노출정도, 인구통계특성)의 관계를 중심으로 파악해 보았다. 그 결과 불만족요인 평가는 고객의 특성(쇼핑향유성향, 경쟁에의 노출정도)에 따라 차이가 있으며, 전환장벽 인식은 고객의 특성(경쟁에의 노출정도, 인구통계특성) 및 불만족요인 평가에 따라 차이가 있고 예상경쟁자로의 전환의도는 고객의 특성(쇼핑향유성향, 경쟁에의 노출정도, 인구통계특성) 및 전환장벽 인식에 따라 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 경쟁자의 시장진입을 눈앞에 두고 있는 지방 독점백화점의 전환관리는 고객특성 파악과 고객불만족을 감소시키려는 노력을 중심으로 이루어져야 할 것으로 보인다.

조기퇴직자의 생활적응 지원체계 구축을 위한 일상생활 조사연구 : 일상생활 만족/불만족 근거에 대한 내용분석을 중심으로 (An Analysis of Daily Life of the Early Retirees : Content Analysis of Sources of Life Satisfaction/Dissatisfaction)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 서울에 거주하는 조기퇴직자를 대상으로 일상생활 만족도를 조사하고, 만족 혹은 불만족의 근거를 파악하기 위해 일상생활에 대한 심층 면접조사를 통하여 이들이 하루를 어떻게 보내고 경험하는지를 조사하며, 내용분석을 통해 만족 혹은 불만족의 근거를 파악하는 것이다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 서울시에 거주하는 55세 이상 64세 이하의 조기퇴직자 101명을 대상으로 일상생활 만족도를 조사하였고, 그 결과 매우 만족, 만족/만족하는 편, 불만족/불만족하는 편, 매우 불만족하는 대상자 93명에 대한 개별적인 심층면접 결과를 통해 만족 혹은 불만족의 근거와 내용을 분석하였다. 분석결과, 본 조사대상자의 일상생활 만족도 수준은 5점 척도에서 평균 2.68로 낮은 편이었다. 일상생활 만족, 불만족의 근거에 대한 내용분석 결과, 내적, 심리적 상태, 가족관계, 경제상태, 사회적 관계, 주요 일과, 퇴직에 대한 태도라는 6개의 카테고리와 31개의 구체적인 만족 근거, 35개의 구체적인 불만족 근거를 도출하였다. 퇴직 후 일상생활 만족, 불만족의 근거에 대한 응답분포를 분석한 결과, 불만족의 가장 큰 근거는 일과 관련된 것으로서 조기퇴직자자들의 일에 대한 열망이 매우 큰 것으로 나타났고, 가족/가정에서의 어려움, 경제적 어려움, 무위/무료한 일상에서 오는 불만족도 매우 빈번하게 지적되었다. 반면 일상생활 만족의 주요 근거로는 내적, 심리적 상태와 가족관계, 경제적 안정, 다양한 여가생활 등이 빈번하게 지적되었다. 본 연구에서는 위의 연구결과를 토대로 하여 조기퇴직자의 생활적응 지원체계 구축을 위한 거시적, 미시적 차원의 함의를 제시하였다.

부정적 문제요소로서 갈등 고찰과 조직에 대한 태도 연구 - 국·공립문화예술단체의 예술단원을 중심으로 - (Conflict and Negative Attitudes toward Organization as a Negative Problem: Focusing on the art unit of national and public culture and arts organizations)

  • 이 연구는 국·공립문화예술단체가 하나의 조직으로, 조직의 내·외부에 수많은 갈등이 존재할 것이라는 인식에서 출발하였다. 또한, 갈등이 조직 구성원들에게 부정적 문제요소로 작용하며, 그로 인해 파생된 감정들이 어떠한 관계가 있는지를 파악하였다. 구체적으로, 1) 현직 국·공립문화예술단체(조직)의 예술단원(조직 구성원)들이 인식하는 갈등 요인을 파악하고, 2) 갈등이 부정적 문제요소로서 예술단원들에게 어떠한 영향력을 제공하는지, 3) 갈등에 따른 감정(소진, 이직 의도, 직무 불만족, 부정적 전이)이 어떠한 관계를 맺고 있는지를 살펴보는 것이 목적이다. 이를 위해, 이론적 검토와 동시에 현직 국·공립문화예술단체 소속 예술단원들을 대상으로 인터뷰 및 설문조사를 진행하였다. 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 국·공립문화예술단체의 예술단원들이 지각하는 갈등은 1) 조직적 갈등(경영·행정·운영 등), 2) 개인적 갈등(예술적 취향·동료 등)으로 구성될 수 있었다. 이 갈등은 조직 구성원들의 감정에 부정적인 방향을 제공하는 것으로 파악되었다. 조직적 갈등과 개인적 감정은 모두 감정 소진에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 감정 소진은 이직 의도와 직무 불만족에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 직무 불만족은 이직 의도에 정(+)의 영향을, 이직 의도와 직무 불만족은 부정적 전이에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 검토되었다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 국·공립문화예술단체의 효과적인 마케팅을 위한 시사점을 제시하였다.

도우미의 유니폼 착용실태 조사 - 내레이터 모델을 중심으로 - (A Research on the Actual Condition of Narrator Models' Wearing Uniform)

  • This study was carried out to research the actual condition of narrator models' wearing uniform, targeting on the narrator models who are being currently active and are from 19-year-old to 30-year-old. A poll was performed through visiting internet circles and spots, and the characteristic of objects, the form of uniform, attitude on uniform, dissatisfaction index on wearing uniform and preference index on wearing uniform were researched. It was carried out from August 18, 2003 to August 31, 2003. In order to perform this study, 161 questionnaires were used in all, and frequency analysis was implemented using SPSS 10.0. The objects of study were composed of female. Those who are from 21-year-old to 25-year-old accounted for 74.5%, and those who have career from 2 years to 3 years accounted for 75.5%. In respect to attitude on wearing uniform, affirmative answers, affirmative answers, such as a sense of belonging, a pride in activity and increase of efficiency, accounted for 68.8%. On the other hand, in respect to a harmonization between uniform and work, just the 39.8-percent showed affirmative reaction. Concerning the functionality of uniform, such as retaining warmth and ventilating, dissatisfaction index showed very high value; it is judged that it should be improved henceforth. Working postures were researched, following the order of standing posture and arm-using posture. In inconvenient actions, bending down and moving arms were orderly pointed out. With regard to the dissatisfaction of size, busts, the length of skirt and waist girth were orderly pointed out. Likewise, considering the parts of which room is required, bust, hip girth and waist girth were orderly pointed out. As to the points that should be bettered, design and functionality were orderly pointed out. In respect to materials of uniform, sweat-absorption material, light material and well-ventilated material were orderly suggested.

일부 치기공과 대학생들의 해외취업에 관한 의식 조사 연구 (A Study on the Recognition Level of Employment and Overseas Employment among Students Majoring in Dental Technology)

  • This study was conducted to research into the recognition level of employment and overseas employment on 173 students majoring in dental technology at two colleges in Daegu metropolitan city and Jeju self-governing island through questionnaires which are recorded individually. The results are as follows. 1. About 31.8% students chose dental technician department taking their aptitude into consideration when they entered college. 52% students gained information about dental technology through internet, and 57.3% students among them, which was the highest level, were under age 20. 2. 48.6% students responded that they thought the level of satisfaction with major was average and there was a difference according to their ages among the level of satisfaction or dissatisfaction with their major and the previous knowledge of major they had gained before entering college. 75.1% students said they wouldn't transfer to other major even if they were given the chance, which was much higher than the opposite case. And only 2.3% students had dissatisfaction at their major, which means students majoring dental technology evaluate their major positively. 3. Most students(58.4%) wanted to get a job for living cost and 53.2% students took advice from their seniors or elderly people in choosing their jobs. 64.7% students answered they should have professional skills to get a good job, which was different according to their ages. In addition, 51.4% students of dental technology department regarded the opportunities to exert their abilities as the most important element in choosing their jobs. That means students value self-decision and selfrealization when they choose their jobs. 4. The majority of students(32.9%) preferred to work at the dental laboratory in dental college hospital as their workplace. Moreover, seniors over age 21 wanted to work in the field of porcelain and juniors under age 20 preferred to work in the implant part concerning the field which students wants to work. 5. About 91.3% students have ever heard about overseas employment and wanted to work abroad if given the opportunities(77.5%). This points out students have much interest in overseas employment and positive attitude. And there was a difference according to age and grade in case of the preferred country when they work abroad 6. The main barrier to overseas employment was a lack of communication ability(63.0%), therefore, students thought foreign language education should be activated to improve overseas employment(26.0%). To show this more specifically, juniors thought foreign language education and internship are most important factors(both are 21.4% alike), while seniors thought foreign language education is essential(24.6%) as a way to improve overseas employment. Students also thought that participation in language study club helps to prepare for overseas employment(69.4%). When putting all these survey results together, it's very important to develop people in advance who have job ability and language ability necessary for overseas employment as well as to improve job awareness in the field of dental technology. Consequently, it's needed to seek for various ways to get a overseas job through foreign language education and overseas internship.

초등학교 급식유형에 따른 영양사의 직무 만족도 (Job Satisfaction of the Elementary School Foodservice Dietitians by Their Foodservice Type)

  • This study was to investigate the factors which influence foodservice dietitians' job satisfaction and dissatisfaction by the elementary school foodservice type using questionnaires. The results of the study are as followings : 1) Foodservice types of the subjects were urban 49(23.2%), country 141(66.8%) and island 21(10.0%). 79.6% of the urban type were operated by the conventional, independent management system, where 38.3% of the country and 52.4% of the island type were operated by conventional, joint management system. 2) Urban type dietitians showed significantly lower satisfaction on their salary & promotion(1.5) compare to country & island types(p<0.05). Island type dietitians showed significantly lower satisfaction on the student's health improving(2.4) compare to country &urban types(p<0.05). 3) Dietitians of urban type were dissatisfied more 'personnel management(3.2)' than dietitians of other two types. Dietitians of country type and island type were dissatisfied more 'extra work load(2.6)' than dietitians of urban type. 4) Work load was lots orderly island, country and urban types. Working attitudes were the most positive at dietitians of urban type and the most negative at dietitians of island type. 5) Job satisfaction and dissatisfaction of dietitians were correlated with number of meals, number of school transfer, cook license, additional job and school foodservice location type.
