Recently, the advanced company has been sparing no efforts in improving necessary core knowledge and technology to achieve outstanding work performance. In this rapidly changing knowledge-based society, the company has confronted the task of creating a high value-added knowledge. The role of R&D workforce that corresponds to the characteristic and role of knowledge worker is getting more significant. As the life cycle of technical knowledge and skill shortens, in every industry, the technical knowledge and skill have become essential elements for successful business. It is difficult to improve competitiveness of the company without enhancing the competency of individual and organization. As the competency development which is a part of human resource management in the company is being spread now, it is required to focus on the research of determining necessary competency and to analyze the competency of a core organization in the research institute. 'H' is the semiconductor manufacturing company which has a affiliated research institute with its own R&D engineers. Based on focus group interview and job analysis data, vision and necessary competency were confirmed. And to confirm whether the required competency by job is different or not, analysis was performed by dividing members into workers who are in charge of circuit design and design before process development and who are in the process actualization and process development. Also, this research included members' importance awareness of the determined competency. The interview and job analysis were integrated and analyzed after arranging by groups and contents and the analyzed results were resorted after comparative analysis with a competency dictionary of Spencer & Spencer and competency models which are developed from the advanced research. Derived main competencies are: challenge, responsibility, and prediction/responsiveness, planning a new business, achievement -oriented, training, cooperation, self-development, analytic thinking, scheduling, motivation, communication, commercialization of technology, information gathering, professionalism on the job, and professionalism outside of work. The highly required competency for both jobs was 'Professionalism'. 'Attitude', 'Performance Management', 'Teamwork' for workers in charge of circuit design and 'Challenge', 'Training', 'Professionalism on the job' and 'Communication' were recognized to be required competency for those who are in charge of process actualization and process development. With above results, this research has determined the necessary competency that the 'H' company's affiliated research institute needs and found the difference of required competency by job. Also, it has suggested more enthusiastic education methods or various kinds of education by confirming the importance awareness of competency and individual's level of awareness about the competency.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the difference in perception of clinical nutrition service (CNS) between doctors and dietitians working in hospitals in Busan and the Gyeongnam area. Research was performed through questionnaires (from November to December 2011) at over 100 beds. 73.3% of dietitians were aware of the Nutrition Support Team (NST), while only 15.6% of doctors were aware of it. Due to heavy work and lack of medical staff, doctors didn't participate in NST, although most of them recognized the necessity of NST. 61.7% of dietitians screened and managed malnourished patients, whereas only 29.8% of doctors did. The main reason dietitians didn't treat malnourished patients was the absence of a treatment system in the hospital. Less than 50% of dietitians participated in the doctor's round to malnourished patients. As for why dietitians didn't participate in doctor's rounds, 71% of doctors chose understaffed dietitians and 38.1% of dietitians chose the doctors' unawareness of the importance of the dietitian in doctor's rounds. For the lower rate of nutrition counseling in provincial regions, compared to the capital region, 46.8% of doctors cited a lack of connection between doctors and clinical dietitians, while 43.3% of dietitians cited the lack of doctors' awareness on the importance of nutrition counseling. Although 87.3% of the doctors and 91.6% of the dietitians answered that CNS is important for treatment, the perception of onsite performance status on CNS was found to be low in both groups. 48.9% of doctors and 50.0% of dietitians regarded dietitians in the hospital as personnel in charge of food services, rather a member of the medical team. To improve the awareness of the importance of the CNS, and the image of clinical dietitians, 31.2% of doctors answered "to introduce a professional dietitian license for each disease" and 26.7% of dietitians answered "to change the system in the hospital". Most subjects found that a separation of clinical nutrition services from the food service part is needed. These results suggest that it is important to narrow the difference in perceptions of clinical nutrition services between doctors and dietitians for an organized clinical nutrition management of patients in hospitals in Busan and the Gyeongnam area.
Purpose: This study collects basic data on the awareness of evacuation methods and evacuation facilities in the event of a radiological disaster of residents living in the emergency planning zone. Method: The residents of emergency planning zone were sampled using a random sampling method. A 1:1 interview was conducted using a structured questionnaire, and statistical analysis was performed using the minitab program. Result: First, the survey subjects showed a relatively low and negative awareness of the local government's work on radioactive disasters. Second, in terms of resident safety education, they had little experience in education, but they felt it was necessary and wanted education on evacuation methods, action tips, and the location of relief centers. Third, the location of the relief centers related to radioactive disasters was not well known, and there were many responses that they did not receive any guidance, and that they would be with their families when using the relief centers. Satisfaction levels were generally low with regard to the relief facilities. Fourth, the necessary priorities in preparation for radioactive disasters were education and training for radioactive disasters, facility supplementation, and supply of protective chemicals. Conclusion: The residents of emergency planning zone perceived the policies and tasks of the government or local governments relatively negatively in preparation for the occurrence of radioactive disasters, and their satisfaction was low. Regarding the matters pointed out as a priority, the government and local governments should publicize and educate the residents of accurate information and policies on radioactive disasters.
Considering the importance of institutional foodservice in modern dietary life and its influence on the environment, sustainable development in institutional foodservice industry carries great significance. The current study was conducted to investigate dietitians' perceptions of sustainable business-and-industry foodservice and their intentions to perform sustainable practices by applying a mixed methodology. For the quantitative study, an online survey was conducted on 362 dietitians who had worked at a contact foodservice company for more than 1 year. The survey was performed from December 15th, 2011 to January 30th, 2012, and 202 responses were used for the analysis. For the qualitative a study, a focus group interview was conducted during May, 2012 with representative employees of the company. According to the results, dietitians seemed to be unfamiliar with the terms "sustainability" or "sustainable development," whereas they understood related contents and practices. Dietitians' awareness and perceived need in terms of sustainable business-and-industry foodservice were not significantly different across general characteristics. Dietitians seemed to be highly aware of the impacts of business-and-industry foodservice on economy, whereas they appeared to lack understanding of its impacts on society and environment. Cost increase and levy on work in daily operations were considered as main obstacles hampering dietitians' intentions to perform sustainable practices. A total of 88.1% of responding dietitians expected that the meal price at a sustainable business-and-industry foodservice should be higher than the supposed standard price of 4,000 won, with an average reaching 5,270 won. Findings from this study could be used as baseline information for vitalizing sustainable business-and-industry foodservice in Korea.
Objectives: The promotion of health and safety (H&S) awareness among hospital staff can be applied through various methods. The aim of this study was to assess the risk level of physical hazards in the hospital sector by combining workers' perception, experts' evaluation and objective measurements. Methods: A cross-sectional study was designed using multiple triangulation. Hospital staff (n = 447) filled in an H&S questionnaire in a general hospital in Athens and an oncology one in Thessaloniki. Experts observed and filled in a checklist on H&S in the various departments of the two hospitals. Lighting, noise and microclimate measurements were performed. Results: The staff's perception of risk was higher than that of the experts in many cases. The measured risk levels were low to medium. In cases of high-risk noise and lighting, staff and experts agreed. Staff's perception of risk was influenced by hospital's department, hospital's service, years of working experience and level of education. Therefore, these factors should be taken into account in future studies aimed at increasing the participation of hospital workers. Conclusion: This study confirmed the usefulness of staff participation in the risk assessment process, despite the tendency for staff to overestimate the risk level of physical hazards. The combination of combining staff perception, experts' evaluation and objective measures in the risk assessment process increases the efficiency of risk management in the hospital environment and the enforcement of relevant legislation.

So, this study focuses on breathing in qigong and yoga. This study appreciates a role that a control of respiration has in physical, mental aspects and searches side-effects in qigong and yoga Conclusions: A control of respiration has a function that manages Jung(精), Qi(氣), Shin(神) in Oriental Medicine. It manages Autonomic Nerve system, Endocrine system and induces natural awareness. So Briging the body and mind work through a control of breathing. Breathing pattern disorder has Damum and Qiher pattern in Oriental Medicine pattern. This disease pattern concearnes ATP metabolism. Qiher is concearned with a mitochondria disorder and Damum is concearned with a products of lactate. we guess that Lactate analysis may be utilized as a diagonostic criteria of Breathing pattern disorder. After this, It needs a study that Lactate analysis is concearned with Breathing pattern disorder as Damum pattern. Result: A control of respiration is related not only breathing but also spiritual and physical state. Joo-hwa-ip-ma as Breathing pattern disorder is smiliar to hyperventilation. HVS is patternated Damum and Qi-Weakness pattern in oriental medicine. Lactate is an important complement that diagonates HVS and will be concearned with Damum.
U.S. Congress established the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award (MBNQA) program in 1987 to recognize U.S. organizations for their achievements in quality and business performance and to raise awareness about the importance of quality and performance excellence as a competitive edge. The Baldrige Award was envisioned as a standard of excellence that would help U.S. organizations achieve world-class quality. Recently the U.S, Congress approved legislation that made education and health care organizations eligible to participate in the Award Program. These criteria are applied to evaluate two academic departments (Computer Science & Industrial Systems and Electrical Engineering) at Yonsei University. It was an informal evaluation performed by the undergraduate students who took quality Engineering course. Evaluated total scores turn out to be 522.5 and 548.5 for both, respectively. According to the MBNQA diagnosis, this level of score represents that there are some areas or work units which need to be improved. We hightlight them so that they can be used as feedback information.

Local public corporations are closely related to the welfare promotion of local residents because they are responsible for the management of public facilities and are entrusted with some of the duties of local governments. Besides these responsibilities, they also have to conduct systematic and professional record management to ensure the legitimacy and fairness of organizational activities as the importance of ethical management and knowledge management emerges in organization. With regard to this task, this study proposes an improvement plan for the records management of local public corporations by analyzing the current status of records management and the awareness level for the possibility of developments in record management work. For this endeavor, the study conducted a literature review, gathered 50 survey responses from archivists from local public corporations nationwide, and performed 18 interviews with the survey respondents. Based on the analysis of these data, the study proposes that the National Archives of Korea should strengthen the role of supporting local public corporations. Moreover, local public corporations are suggested to improve records management at the local level and form a cooperative union among similar corporations.
Effort has been performed for latest 20 years to improve resident's comfort and indoor environment in building. And interest and effort to improve indoor air environment among various indoor environment elements have continuously increased since 1990s, because it is examined scientifically that various contaminants generated indoor affect human body. Specially, indoor air contaminants generated from apartments are those exhausted from resident's indoor environment, closing materials and household. Indoor air environment in buildings is different according to pollution degree, existence availability of pollution source, ventilation amount, and meteorology. It is known that other contaminants more than about 900 kinds generate according to a kind of work or action in a room. Specially, nowadays buildings are well insulated and confidentiality-centered for environment protection and economical side. So indoor air contaminants are generated from indoor air pollution sauces of unprepared ventilation, human body carbon dioxide emissions, and various building materials. when these are accumulated in long term human body, it is harmful to resident's health, but awareness for this is very insufficient. Because bedroom is space that people inhabit for a long time by unconscious state and indoor environment occupies important part for resident's health and quality of life at sleep, the actual condition of air quality is investigated, improvement countermeasure is considered, and ventilation amount is analyzed. In this study, putting case that the most longest stayed time is sleeping time when people inhabit in the apartment, the air quality according to volume of bedroom space at sleep was measured and analyzed, and the data acquired will be the basis for improvement on this.
Background: Respiratory protection equipment (RPE) is the last resort to control exposure to workplace air pollutants. A comprehensive respiratory protection program (RPP) ensures that RPE is selected, used, and cared properly. Therefore, RPP must be well integrated into the occupational health and safety requirements. In this study, we evaluated the implementation of RPP in Iranian petrochemical industries to identify the required solutions to improve the current status of respiratory protection. Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted among 24 petrochemical industries in Iran. The survey instrument was a checklist extracted from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration respiratory protection standard. An index, Respiratory Protection Program Index (RPPI), was developed and weighted by analytic hierarchy process to determine the compliance rate (CR) of provided respiratory protection measures with the RPP standard. Data analysis was performed using Excel 2010. Results: The most important element of RPP, according to experts, was respiratory hazard evaluation. The average value of RPPI in the petrochemical plants was $49{\pm}15%$. The highest and lowest of CR among RPP elements were RPE selection and medical evaluation, respectively. Conclusion: None of studied petrochemical industries implemented RPP completely. This can lead to employees' overexposure to hazardous workplace air contaminants. Increasing awareness of employees and employers through training is suggested by this study to improve such conditions.
