The purpose of this study aims to investigate the characteristics of architectural association methods which apply Hall's poetic concept by looking into how Hall extracts languages and images under what circumstances and by analyzing how the extracted elements are integrated into an architectural space through what association processes. First of all, poetic association functions in the architectural process are compared, and the value of using visual associations in architectural designs are investigated based on the results of the analysis. Next, Steven Holl's poetic concept is investigated in the context of the concept extraction step, the idea expansion step, and the space composition step in order to find out how such association methods work in the process of architectural designs. The methods of reproducing, changing and using Steven Holl's poetic concept can be summarized as follows in relation with experiential associations, multi-meaning associations and morphology associations: 1) Steven Holl's experiential associations are a method of expressing perceived images in the form of languages in the process of interpreting land and programs. This method has the characteristics of reproducing various architectural ideas by generating a relationship between invisible characteristics of land in images and languages. 2) Steven Holl's multi-meaning associations are a method of directly associating a project with related objects and incidents, or of coming up with a hidden meaning. It has the characteristics of changing ambiguous images of metaphoric, figurative or ironic languages into concrete architectural images. 3) Steven Holl's morphology associations is a method of expressing morphology images and languages which are directly related to the images. Morphology associations have the characteristics of regenerating sensory experience elements into languages or images, which can be seen experiential associations; or they use metaphoric images in architecture by substituting them with other architectural elements, which can be seen in multi-meaning associations.

Objective: The aim of this study is to analyze the reliability assessment of work environment measurement, and to propose ways of improving the system. Methods: We have reviewed reports and articles on the reliability assessment written by KOSHA and academia in order to analyze problems related with the system and propose the alternatives. Results: There are three ways to improve the system of the reliability assessment. First of all, it is necessary to perform the reliability assessment by measuring the work environment when workers raise questions about the results so we can make workers trust these results of the reliability assessment. Secondly, we should inspect the workplace at first, not the work environment service provider, so we can increase the employer's recognition of his duty to practice the work environment measurement. Thirdly, the technical committee is needed for technical issues related with the work environment measurement. Conclusions: Above all, it is crucial to get the workers' interest and trust to improve the work environment measurement. The reliability assessment should support the meaning and value of the work environment measurement by practicing the reliability assessment whenever workers have a demand for this and operating the technical committee.

This work investigated the social, cultural, and economical impacts of the services that S Children's Library provides to local community and its residents. In this study I analyzed the user statistics by using Korean Library Automation System III, practiced a comparative analysis with other libraries over circulation efficiency, and reviewed the user's evaluation through user survey. The achievement of this study is to find out the value of S Children's Library by verifying the service status of S Children's Library based on the analyzed data, assessing the role and meaning of the children's library within the community, and measuring the economical contribution through user evaluation.

The applies exhaustively and strictly to complicated image artworks which need an elaborate analysis. It is very hard but audiences must try to maintain neutrality in front of artwork because cord formation and interpretation should be formed objectively. The meaning analysis and interpretation of the forth phase begins with this question 'what is the image rouse'(qu'evoque cote image?).' This phase is the most important in a process of symbolic analysis. The audience investigates personal elements and common elements. The fifth is synthetic analysis and interpretation phase. The synthesis is last phase and it reaches a valuation and a conclusion. Namely, the synthesis phase makes up synthesis conclusion, summarizes image character, and completes value adjudication. According to Kenneth Frampton, the modern architecture starts to be recognized as the poetics of construction and lays a great weight in its value on the technology of making forms and the inherent meaning in the tectonics. The tectonic connotes not only the technological construction of the architecture but also ontological details as the joint of material and texture. The works of Carlo Scarpa are examples to prove the way how the ontological meanings are exposed in the tectonic form of architecture. The purpose of this study was to analyze the connections between Carlo Scarpa's architectural thoughts and visual logic(schemata) from the characteristic of details in his work during the 1950s to 1970s. Through the analysis, the Italian tradition in the architecture is reinterpreted through isolation and break of recollected montages. Carlo Scarpa makes spatial fragments and aspects of reinterpreting in surroundings and situation with the architectural place in Venezia. As a result, the unique details of his craftsmanship provide lessons on how to reinterpret the traditional architecture. In conclusion, Carlo Scarpa's architecture emphasizes the passage of its perceptive experience aspects as a dis-joint of tectonic forms. It may imply the significance of his philosophical approach, especially to the ontological architecture and tectonics.
Surveying the literature of architecture since the nineteenth century, one can identify two dominant but problematic attitudes, among several, that pursue the task of defining what modern architecture is and should be. The first is the search for meaning and the second is the pursuit of form. This study, following Michel Foucault, asserts that the dual formation of meaning and form is a historical product of modernity and belies architecture's uncritical dependence on language since the nineteenth century. This study is a critique and historical analysis of this pernicious reliance, and constitutes a first step towards thinking of alternative relations between 'words and architecture' in the modern world. In reconstructing this problematic, the paper has called on Foucault's seminal The Order of Things. The study follows his construction of the Renaissance, the Classical and the Modern episteme, and in brief fashion, reconstructs the relation between language and architecture in each episteme. In analysing the Modern, the study focuses on Hegel's Lectures on Aesthetics. Hegel placed architecture in a genre hierarchy within which architecture, because of its material basis, was fundamentally limited in its ability to express the Spirit. For Hegel it was, among the arts, poetic language, and beyond art, the language of philosophy, through which the Absolute Spirit could be atttained. Much of post-nineteenth century architecture has remained within the shadow of Hegel, where architecture's materiality is perceived to be a burden, and in order to secure its relevance in modern society, architecture was deemed to pursue the role of language. As the most recent and sophisticated example of architecture's pursuit of form, the paper analyses the work of Peter Eisenman. Though Eisenman's theoretical writings are replete with post-Hegelian rhetoric, his architecture remains dependent upon the model of language, albeit a structuralist one. The paper concludes that ultimately, the pursuit of meaning and form is unable to face the crucial issue of value in modernity. While the former decides to easily what it is, the latter evades the issue itself. The second installment of this ongoing study will pursue a third possibility alluded to by Foucault, where language remains silent, pointing only to its 'ponderous' material existence.
A Chinese female writer Linhaiyin(林海音) and Chengnanjiushi(城南舊事), her representative work, have never been studied in Korea before although she and her literary works stand high and are well known in the history of the modern Chinese literature. Thus, in this paper, I analyze her and her novels included in Chengnanjiushi and study their literary value and meaning. To analyze and study them, I mainly consider novels Anhuiguan, Womenkanhaiqu, Lanyiniang, $L{\acute{\ddot{u}}}dagunr$, and Babadehuarluole included in Chengnanjiushi. Firstly, I look into her attitude and mode to observe children and women's life as a writer. Such attitude and mode succeeded to the spirit of the '5.4 literature'. Secondly, I evaluate Linhaiyin's 'Both sides complex' and its value in the history of literature. From this evaluation, the meaning of Linhaiyin's literature is highlighted. She was free from 'Both sides complex' occurred due to the circumstance of the times and played a role of a bridge so as not to break off literature of China and Taiwan. When her and her works are evaluated, this is one of the most important values. The characteristic of her writing mode is that she did not seek a compelling climax, a surprising reversal, or an exclusive plot or character in her works. In her works, plain description or unwitting conversation and story often imply deep meanings. Thus, at unexpected moment after reading her novels, readers truly listen to deep resonance for her attitude and mode to observe people's life. This is exactly her potential energy that makes readers sink into her literary world regardless of time and space.

There are some studies about user's participation to reflect their desire and value on the planning of house by this time. These were constitution of unit space focused on the apartments, which is mostly theoretical. In architectural planning process, it takes time for continuous discussion and revision between architects and users. Also changes of plan must of necessity be so because of in or outside conditions. So, user's participation has its meaning that they take part in each step and portion of process faithfully on whole architectural processes. In this case, tenants of single houses were decided and they already buy building site and lay out rules jointly. With this circumstance I've researched a kind of test the reflection on various desires and its acceptance in each steps through completion of a construction work, which is based on their participation.

Purpose : The concept of organizational socialization has been regarded as an abstract concept of organizational learning process and it has been used as strategy for the organizational goal attainment. New graduated nurses' organizational socialization has been a very important process for learning knowledge, skills and behaviors in hospital setting. This study was to analyze and clarify the meaning of the concept of Organizational Socialization. Method : This study use the process of Walker & Avant's concept analysis. Results : The critical attributes of organizational socialization were identified as : 1) Internalization of Value and belief of organization; 2) Learning of organizational rules and modes of living; 3) Improvement of job performance; 4) Maintenance of supportive relationship; 5) Formation of occupational identity. The antecedents of organizational socialization consist of those facts that 1) negative feeling of role; 2) difficulties of interpersonal relationship; 3) unskilled work performance. And the consequences of organizational socialization consist of those facts that 1) organizational commitment; 2) job satisfaction; 3) intention of leave work setting; 4) improvement of job performance; 5) improvement of decision making; 6) maintenance of supportive relationship. Conclusion : Through this concept analysis, the concept of organizational socialization is defined as internalization of value and belief of organization, learning of organizational rules and modes of living, improvement of job performance, maintenance of supportive relationship and formation of occupational identity.
