  • The purpose of power system design is, in a word, to provide a good quality of electric power. The design of reliable industrial and commercial power distribution system is important because of the high costs associated with power outage. Three major factors for realization of the purpose are: (1) To hold system frequency at or very close to a specified nominal value(e.g. 60Hz) by control of frequency-effective power. (2) To maintain the correct value of interchange power between power and local generators. (3) To hold system voltage at or very close to a specified nominal value by control of voltage-reactive power. Within the past decade, numbers of industrial and commercial facilities installed with local generation, large motors or both, are increasing. This means that system stability is of concern to a growing number of industrial plant electrical engineers and consultants.

한국어 다음절 단어의 초성, 중성, 종성단위의 음절간 조건부 확률 (Conditional Probability of a 'Choseong', a 'Jungseong', and a 'Jongseong' Between Syllables in Multi-Syllable Korean Words)

  • A Korean word is composed of syllables. A Korean syllable is regarded as a random variable according to its probabilistic property in occurrence. A Korean syllable is divided into 'choseong', 'jungseong', and 'jongseong' which are regarded as random variables. We can consider teh conditional probatility of syllable as an index which represents the occurrence correlation between syllables in Korean words. Since the number of syllables is enormous, we use the conditional probability of a' choseong', a 'jungseong', and a 'jongseong' between syllables as an index which represents the occurrence correlation between syllables in Korean words. The length distribution of Korean woeds is computed according to frequency and to kind. Form the cumulative frequency of a Korean syllable computed from multi-syllable Korean woeds, all probabilities and conditiona probabilities are computed for the three random variables. The conditional probabilities of 'choseong'- 'choseong', 'jungseong'- 'jungseong', 'jongseong'-'jongseong', 'jongseong'-'choseong' between adjacent syllables in multi-syllable Korean woeds are computed.

소음문장 제거를 위한 음소지속시간 사용 (The Usage of Phoneme Duration Information for Rejecting Garbage Sentences)

  • In this paper, we study the usage of phoneme duration information for rejection garbage sentence. First, we build a phoneme duration modeling in a speech recognition system based on dicicion tree state tying, We assume that phone duration has a Gamma distribution. Next, we build a verification module in which word-level confidence measure is used. Finally, we make a comparative study on phoneme duration with speech DB obtained from the live system. This DB consistes of OOT(out-of-task) and ING(in-grammar) utterences. the usage of phone duration information yields that OOT recognition rate is improved by 46% and that another 8.4% error rate is reduced when combined with utterence verification module.

클래스 히스토그램 등화 기법에 의한 강인한 음성 인식 (Robust Speech Recognition by Utilizing Class Histogram Equalization)

  • This paper proposes class histogram equalization (CHEQ) to compensate noisy acoustic features for robust speech recognition. CHEQ aims to compensate for the acoustic mismatch between training and test speech recognition environments as well as to reduce the limitations of the conventional histogram equalization (HEQ). In contrast to HEQ, CHEQ adopts multiple class-specific distribution functions for training and test environments and equalizes the features by using their class-specific training and test distributions. According to the class-information extraction methods, CHEQ is further classified into two forms such as hard-CHEQ based on vector quantization and soft-CHEQ using the Gaussian mixture model. Experiments on the Aurora 2 database confirmed the effectiveness of CHEQ by producing a relative word error reduction of 61.17% over the baseline met-cepstral features and that of 19.62% over the conventional HEQ.

  • 본 연구는 자기결정이론과 사회적 영향이론을 중심으로 자기결정과 사회적 영향 중 어떤 것이 개인의 웹사이트 사용의도에 영향을 미치는 지를 분석하였다. 분석결과 타인의 추천 및 웹사이트에 대한 자신의 평가는 웹사이트에 대한 개인의 태도에 모두 유의하게 영향을 미쳤으며, 자기평가가 긍정적일수록 구전추천과 태도간의 관계는 강화될 것이나, 자기평가가 부정적인 경우 구전추천과 태도간의 관계는 약화될 것이라는 가설도 지지되어 개인의 평가에 있어 타인의 추천이 웹사이트에 대한 태도에 미치는 영향을 조절할 것이라는 것이 밝혀졌다.

  • 온라인 미디어의 지속적인 발전과 최근 모바일 컴퓨팅 사용 환경이 급격하게 개선됨에 따라 인터넷 정보의 유통이 공급자 중심 단방향에서 소비자 중심의 양방향으로 빠르게 변화하였다. 이에 따라 인터넷 정보의 관심도를 측정하는 것이 공급자와 소비자에게 중요한 문제로 대두되었다. 본 논문에서는 국내 인터넷 정보제공 업체에서 제공하는 실시간 검색어를 자동화된 소프트웨어를 구현하여 1개월간의 데이터를 수집하고, 실시간 검색어의 지속시간을 분석하여 인터넷 정보 관심도를 분석하였다.

  • Our work addresses the issues associated with usage of the semantic features by Bag of Words model, which requires construction of the dictionary. Extracting the relevant features and clustering them into code book or dictionary is computationally intensive and requires large storage area. Hence we propose to use a simple distribution of multiple shape based features, which is a mixture of gradients, radius and slope angles requiring very less computational cost and storage requirements but can serve as an equivalent image representative. The experimental work conducted on PASCAL VOC 2007 dataset exhibits marginally closer performance in terms of accuracy with the Bag of Word model using Self Organizing Map for clustering and very significant computational gain.

Evaluation of Similarity Analysis of Newspaper Article Using Natural Language Processing

  • Comparing text features involves evaluating the "similarity" between texts. It is crucial to use appropriate similarity measures when comparing similarities. This study utilized various techniques to assess the similarities between newspaper articles, including deep learning and a previously proposed method: a combination of Pointwise Mutual Information (PMI) and Word Pair Matching (WPM), denoted as PMI+WPM. For performance comparison, law data from medical research in Japan were utilized as validation data in evaluating the PMI+WPM method. The distribution of similarities in text data varies depending on the evaluation technique and genre, as revealed by the comparative analysis. For newspaper data, non-deep learning methods demonstrated better similarity evaluation accuracy than deep learning methods. Additionally, evaluating similarities in law data is more challenging than in newspaper articles. Despite deep learning being the prevalent method for evaluating textual similarities, this study demonstrates that non-deep learning methods can be effective regarding Japanese-based texts.

리그닌 화학구조 모델의 역사적 고찰 (Historical Consideration of Lignin Models for Native Lignin Structure)

  • The word of lignin is derived from the Latin word 'ligum' meaning wood. Lignin is complex polymer consisting of coniferyl alcohol, sinapyl alcohol and p-coumaryl alcohol unit and has an amorphous, three dimensional network structure which is hard to be hydrolyzed by acid. Lignin is found in the cell wall of plants lignified. The mode of polymerization of these alcohols in the cell wall lead to a heterogeneous branched and cross-linked polymer in which phenyl propane units are linked by carbon-carbon and carbon-oxygen bonds. This polymerization of precursors, p-coumaryl alcohol, coniferyl alcohol and sinapyl alcohol to lignin is formed by enzymic dehydrolyzation. The reaction is initiated by an electron transfer which results in the formation of resonance-stabilized phenoxy radical. The combination of these radicals produces a variety of dimers, trimers and oligomers and so on. Lignin research has been divided into basic and practical application field. The basic studies contains biosynthesis, chemical structure, distribution in the cell wall and reactivity by reductants, oxidants and organic solvents. The application research will be approached the reaction of lignin in various pulp making involving pulp bleaching and its effect on pulp qualities. Lignin also will be studied for the production of fine chemicals, polymer products and the conservation into an energy source like petroleum oil because the amount of lignin produced in pulp making process is more than 51,000,000 tons per year in the world. Both basic and application research must lay emphasis on the development for the utilization of lignin and the pulping process. But these researches can not be completed without understanding lignin structure containing functional groups. Therefore, this paper was focused on the review of lignin formulation which has been studied since 1948 in chronological order. This review was based on monomers, dimers, trimers and tetramers of phenyl propane unit structures which were isolated and identified by different methods from various wood.ious wood.

폭소노미 분위기 태그를 이용한 음악의 분위기 유형 분석 (Analysis of Music Mood Class using Folksonomy Tags)

  • 폭소노미 (foxonomy) 분위기 태그를 이용한 음악 검색 시 내부적으로 단어 태그 대신에 수치 태그 (AV 태그: Arousal과 Valence 값으로 이루어진 태그)를 이용하면 폭소노미의 문제점 중의 하나인 유사어 문제점을 일부 해결할 수 있다. 하지만 이를 위해서는 두 가지 선행 작업이 제대로 이루어져야 하는데, 그 첫 번째가 단어 태그를 수치 태그로 변환하는 작업이며 그 두 번째가 검색 대상인 음악을 수치 태그로 표현하는 작업이다. 첫 번째 작업에 대해서는 이전 연구를 통하여 그 유의성을 보였기 때문에 본 논문에서는 두 번째 작업에 대해서 그 유의성을 밝히고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 본 논문에서는 음악과 AV값 간의 관계를 정의하는 음악-분위기 매핑테이블을 제안하고, ANOVA 검증을 이용하여 분석 하였다. 실험 결과, 동의어 포함 유무에 무관하게 음악 구간의 A값과 V값 모두 12개 음악의 분위기에 대하여 분포차가 발생하고, 모두 제 1종 오류확률 P<0.001를 만족하였다. 결론적으로 음악의 분위기에 따라 AV 값 분포가 다르다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.
