Epidural morphine is effective in the treatment of postoperative pain, but side effects, such as nausea, vomiting, pruritus and urinary retention commonly occur. Droperidol is frequently used as an antiemetic to prevent intraoperative and postoperative vomiting. But it has been reported to cause acute extrapyramidal effects including dystonia. We report one case of acute dystonia in young adult following the use of epidural droperidol.

저자들은 흉막삼출액을 동반한 폐결핵으로 입원한 13세 여아가 isoniazid 및 rifampin으로 치료 중 혈소판 감소증을 보였으며, 혈소판이 정상으로 회복된 후 리팜핀의 재투여로 발생한 혈소판 감소증 1례를 경험하였기에 문헌 고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다.

Fibromatosis is a broad group of benign fibroblastic proliferation that shows locally aggressive growth but never metastasize. Common anatomic sites include abdominal wall, extremity, and mesentery. Little is reported about clinical features and outcome of fibromatosis of the head and neck. The treatment of choice is wide excision, which is often difficult. Postoperative recurrence rates are high. We recently confirmed a unique case of fibromatosis occurred on the hypopharynx of 44-year-old male patient and report this interesting case with review of literature.

The vibration-attenuation was quantitatively compared by 3-Dimensional finite element analysis using ABAQUS, with respect to the change of the type of trackbed systems. Most common trackbed materials, including ballast and concrete were applied to the track structure, and the train-speed was set as 300km/h as Korea Train eXpress (KTX). The result of current study revealed that the ballast showed the most effective material for the vibration attenuation.

저자들은 이에 가와사끼병 및 말단 조직괴저가 동반된 혈구 탐식증 1례를 보고하는 바이며, 가와사끼병 환자가 간비종대, 혈소판 감소를 보이는 경우에는 드물지만 혈구 탐식증의 가능성을 배제할 수 없으므로 확진을 위하여 혈청 중성지방의 측정과 골수 생검을 시행하여야 할 것으로 사료하는 바이다.
