Computation Offloading with Resource Allocation Based on DDPG in MEC

  • Recently, multi-access edge computing (MEC) has emerged as a promising technology to alleviate the computing burden of vehicular terminals and efficiently facilitate vehicular applications. The vehicle can improve the quality of experience of applications by offloading their tasks to MEC servers. However, channel conditions are time-varying due to channel interference among vehicles, and path loss is time-varying due to the mobility of vehicles. The task arrival of vehicles is also stochastic. Therefore, it is difficult to determine an optimal offloading with resource allocation decision in the dynamic MEC system because offloading is affected by wireless data transmission. In this paper, we study computation offloading with resource allocation in the dynamic MEC system. The objective is to minimize power consumption and maximize throughput while meeting the delay constraints of tasks. Therefore, it allocates resources for local execution and transmission power for offloading. We define the problem as a Markov decision process, and propose an offloading method using deep reinforcement learning named deep deterministic policy gradient. Simulation shows that, compared with existing methods, the proposed method outperforms in terms of throughput and satisfaction of delay constraints.

청소년 인터넷중독 예방 및 해소 정책의 딜레마 연구 (A Study on Dilemma in Internet Addiction Prevention and Solution Policy for Adolescent)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 정부가 추진하고 있는 청소년 인터넷중독 대응(예방 및 해소) 정책의 추진과정에서 발생한 정책딜레마의 발생 원인과 대응 전략을 분석하는 것이다. 이의 분석을 위해 딜레마 모형을 분석틀로 하여 맥락 및 상황변화, 정책가치와 대안 변화, 정책 행위자, 정책 결정자의 대응 전략을 통해 변화한 딜레마의 양상을 분석하였다. 분석결과의 주요 내용은 첫째, 청소년 인터넷중독 예방 및 해소정책 추진과정에서 '맥락과 상황 변화', '정책의 가치와 대안', '정책행위자', '정책결정자'는 정책 전반의 딜레마를 형성하는데 결정적인 원인으로 작용하였다. 둘째, 정책딜레마 상황에서 정부의 정책대응 전략은 정책중복 및 대립 발생, 형식적 대응, 가치 재규정 형태로 나타났다. 이에 따라 결과적으로 다음의 특징이 드러났다. 첫째, 정부는 하나의 정책 내에 정책중복과 대립의 문제가 발생하자 해당딜레마를 형식적으로 대응함으로써 더욱 강력한 딜레마를 초래했다. 둘째, 정부는 두 가지 가치(청소년 보호 및 게임 산업 진흥)를 재규정하고자 노력하였고, 이 결과 정책딜레마는 전보다 약화되었지만, 근본적 딜레마의 문제를 해결하지는 못하였음이 드러났다. 본 연구는 분석결과를 바탕으로 추후 심화되는 정보사회생태에서 보다 실효적인 청소년 인터넷중독 대응정책의 추진을 위해 범정부 차원의 통합적 정책 가치 및 비전 수립하여 일관되고 내실 있는 정책 추진을 위한 시사점을 제안하였다.

렌즈모델을 이용한 의사결정자의 Admission Policy 분석 - 과학과 공학분야에서의성차이의 영향을 중심으로 (Capturing Admission Judgment Policy from the Lens Model Perspective to Understand the Gender Difference in Science and Engineering)

  • Despite the government promoting women's participation in the engineering field, some statistics show that it has yet to be achieved. Potential reasons for this phenomenon include lower level of applications by women, or inherent gender gap in the professional field. Therefore, this study attempted to find impact of gender on college admission from the Lens Model perspective and Signal Detection Theory. This study consisted of three phases: identifying the necessary cues used in the admission process, analyzing existing data, and conducting two experiments to identify the effect of gender on admission decisions. Although the college application consisted of many cues, only five cues, school ranking, GPA, SAT score, resident status, and gender, were used to capture the officers' judgment policies for engineering admissions. Two experiments were conducted to investigate the impact of the gender factor in college admission. The enrollment officers first were presented with the existing data without the gender and asked to make dichotomous judgments. Secondly, the officers were asked to perform the judgment task with the gender cue present. Results showed that the gender did not play an important role in the judgments as expected. However, ideographical analyses on judgment strategies revealed that there were significant differences between the admission officers. Possible training implications are discussed.

영유아기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 출산전후휴가 및 육아휴직제도 이용 경험 (Mothers' experiences using maternity and parental leave)

  • Objectives: While employed mothers' use of maternity and parental leave has increased, the contexts that facilitate or hinder mothers' leave policy use have been under examined. The purpose of this study was to explore mothers' experiences of using maternity and parental leave. Method: Twenty-two mothers with young child under age three participated in this study. Results: All 22 mothers used maternity leave and 12 mothers used parental leave. Three main themes were identified: different experiences of maternity leave, experiences of parental leave, and skepticism about the leave policy but with some hope that it will improve. Regarding the mothers' experiences of maternity leave, the mothers thought that maternity leave was easily accessible but some mothers still felt guilty for using maternity leave. They also prepared for their work gap before the leave to avoid harming their colleagues. Accessibility to parental leave varied according to the characteristics of the organizations (i.e., family-friendly organization culture, supportive supervisor) and family contexts (i.e., availability of child care from family members, financial issues). The mothers perceived that while parental leave helps working mothers coordinate their family and work life, it is not as accessible as maternity leave in Korea. They suggested extending the maternity leave duration and improving accessibility to parental leave. Conclusions: These findings suggest that policy support is warranted to help employed mothers with young children remain in the workforce. This study also has implications for supporting employed mothers' work and family life.

여성은 왜 외부자로 남아 있는가?: 한국과 일본의 여성노동시장 비교연구 (Why Women Remain Outsiders: A Comparative Study of Labour Market in Korea and Japan)

  • 본 연구는 한국과 일본의 여성노동시장 구조의 두 가지 측면에서의 공통점에 주목한다. 첫째, 양국 이중노동시장 구조 내에서 여성이 '외부자화'되어 있는지를 논하고, 둘째, 양 국가에서 공통적으로 보이는 M자형의 연령별 노동시장 참가율을 노동시장의 지위별로 분석함으로써, M자형 여성노동시장 구조가 여성의 외부자화와 어떠한 관계를 가지는지 분석하였다. 이러한 두 측면에서 여성의 외부자화가 지속되는 현상을 설명하기 위해, 본 연구는 1990년대 후반부터 한국과 일본에서 본격적으로 도입 및 실행되기 시작하는 노동시장 유연화 정책, 여성고용정책 그리고 젠더레짐과 가족정책을 분석한다. 즉, 양국 정책들이 어떻게 제도적 상보성을 이루어 이중노동시장에서의 여성의 외부자화가 지속되는 결과를 초래하게 되었는지 설명한다. 마지막으로, 분석결과를 바탕으로 한국과 일본에서 두드러진 여성노동의 외부자화 현상과 노동시장 정책의 조합이 가지는 정책적 함의를 논의하였다.

독신의 선택과 노후준비 및 정책적 지원방안 연구 (Study on the Single Life, the Preparation for Old Age and Policy Implication)

  • The main objective of this study was to investigate how people prepare for old age by looking at financial statements from single-person households in Gyeonggi province; the policy implications regarding low fertility and population aging are considered. The subjects were members of 600 households who were aged 26 to 44 years old and not married. The data were analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, and dichotomous logistic regression using SPSS WIN 12.0. Respondents pointed out that financial problems are the greatest challenges for those facing old age in single-person households; they said that a stable job is the most important factor for secure living. About 57% of household residents responded that they have prepared for retirement, and a majority of them said they hoped to spend their elderly years with a marriage partner. The financial statements from single-person households were inferior to those from other types of households. The assets of single-person household members were less than those of other households. Only 10.5% of respondents have owned homes. The study discusses policy implications for those who want marriage and for those who don't want it. For those who want marriage, job-seeking support was proposed, and for the others, tax deductions and family programs for single-person households were proposed.

맞벌이 가정의 일-가정 균형을 위한 기업의 가족친화정책 실시, 활용 및 요구 (Needs and Utilization of Family-Friendly Work Policies for the Work-family Balance)

  • The purposes of this study are to provide background information to develop a family-friendly work policy and to increase the effectiveness and feasibility of this policy. We surveyed the performance of family-friendly work policies, and workers‘ needs and utilizations of 17 family-friendly work policies. We also examined the factors that influence the utilization of family-friendly work policies. The study sample consists of 197 working mothers who have at least one child under age 10. The major findings are as follows: 1) The most-needed family-friendly work policy among working mothers is child care leave 2) Of those family-friendly work policies that are not currently provided, the most-needed policy is family care leave 3) The size of firms, the provision of substitutes, and 40-hour work schedules are statistically significant variables that influence the provision of necessary family-friendly work policies and 4) In addition, the work place culture is a very important factor related to the utilization of work- and family-friendly policies.

출산에 영향을 미치는 개인 가치관과 출산장려정책에 대한 사회적 인식 (Individual Values on Childbirth and Social View on Childbirth Encouragement Policy)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine whether childbirth encouragement policy is actually helping those childbirth, and also discuss the possible directions of this policy to unfold in the future, should take. For this, We have surveyed 412 married and 437 unmarried men and women in order to investigate the individual values that influence childbirth, From these respondents and we interviewed and surveyed recipients of grants (244people), administrative officers in charge (41people), and experts (34people) to investigate their social view on the Korean government's impact. The results of this study are as follows: Firstly, most of the people (unmarried 70.3%, married 69.1%) surveyed said that important life objectives for them. Secondly, most of the people(male 44.4%, female 73.8%) surveyed said that once married shied away from having babies, (a) due to the finance and childcare burden is heavy of running a family while both parents are fulltime employed (b) because it is difficult to get pregnant due to health problems, and (c) foremost because having several children exacerbates their financial burden. Thirdly, grant recipients(75.4%), administrative officers in charge(65.9%), and experts(53.0%) all said that childbirth encouragement policy currently being implemented has little impact on their childbirth. Finally, it was established that the incentives to encourage childbirth is best suited for individuals that favor having many children.

문화유산산업의 발전에 대한 제언 (The proposal for improvement of cultural heritage industry)

  • 문화유산 산업은 한나라의 흥망성쇠에 결정적 영향을 미친다. 본 연구에서 문화유산 산업에 대한 선진국의 여러 가지 정책과 제도를 소개한다. 이를 통해 나라의 상황에 맞게 고쳐 나아가, 문화유산 산업 발전 관련 정책을 제시한다. 특히 '젊우미'라는 제도를 제안해, 청년취업과 문화유산 산업 증진의 두 가지 발전을 위한 정책을 위해 문화재 보존 인력양성, 문화재의 디지털 데이터베이스화 와 문화재 스토리 발굴을 제안한다.

우리나라 보건의료 관련 다문화 정책의 현황과 과제: 간호학적 측면에 대한 고찰 (Current status and problems of healthcare-related multi-cultural policy in Korea from nursing's point of view)

  • This research examines, based on nursing's point of view, the current status and problems of the healthcare-related multi-cultural policy which is one of the major issues of contemporary Korea. Today, Korean society is facing a drastic increase of migrant workers and marriage for migration in Korea that leads to the transition to multiculturalism. Each field of society is providing prevalent supports to solve the problems of multicultural families and to promote adoption to Korean society. The activities and researches for multicultural families in nursing area were found and analyzed. 11 researches and 2 books were published. Among these 13 publications, 10 were on the marriage with immigrant women. 8 researches out of 11 (72.7%) were defined as the descriptive surveys, and 3 researches (27.3%) were defined as quasi-experimental studies. Although Korea Nurses Association (KNA) led various activities, more researches and activities by nurses and nursing scholars are required to contribute in improving the health of multicultural families.
