In this parer, we propose a new way of improving DGNSS service using combination of multiple SBAS information. Because SBAS uses Geostationary Earth Orbit (GEO) satellites, it has very large coverage but it can be unavailable in urban canyon because of visibility problem. R. Chen solved this problem by creating Virtual Reference Stations (VRS) using the SBAS signal [1]. VRS converts SBAS signal to RTCM signals corresponding its location, and broadcast the converted RTCM signals over the wireless internet. This method can solve the visibility problem cost effectively. Furthermore it can solve DGNSS coverage problem by creating just a transmitter instead of a reference station. Developing above method, this paper proposes the methods that integrate two or more SEAS signals into one RTCM signal and broadcast it. In Korea, MSAS signal is available even though it is not officially certified for Korean users. As a Korean own SBAS-like system, there is the internet-based KWTB (Korean WADGPS Test Bed) which we developed and released at ION GNSS 2006. As a result, virtually two different SBAS corrections are available in Korea. In this paper, we propose the integration methods for these two independent SBAS corrections and present the test results using the actual measurements from the two systems. We present the detailed algorithm for these two methods and analyze the features and performances of them. To verify the proposed methods, we conduct the experiment using the logged SBAS corrections from the two systems and the RINEX data logged at Dokdo monitoring station in Korea. The preliminary test results showed the improved performance compared to the results from two independent systems, which shows the potential of our proposed methods. In the future, the newly developed SBASs will be available and the places which can access the multiple SBAS signals will increase. At that time, the integration or combination methods of two or more SBASs will become more important. Our proposed methods can be one of the useful solutions for that. As an additional research, we need to extend this research to the system level integration such as the concept of the decentralized W ADGPS.
Recently, Study of functional clothing for Vital sensing is focused on reducing artifact by human motions, in order to enhance the electrocardiogram(ECG) sensing accuracy. In this study, considering the factors for each element found from the analysis, a 3-lead electrode inside textile embroidered with silver yarn was developed, and draft designs off our types of vital-signal sensing garments, which are 'chest-belt typed' garment, 'cross-typed' garment 'x-typed' garment and 'curved x-typed' garment, were prepared. The draft designs were implemented on a sleeveless male shirt made of an elastic material so that the garment and the electrodes can remain closely attached along the contour of the human body, and the acquired data was sent to the main computer over a wireless network. In order to evaluate the effects caused by body movements and the ECG-sensing capability for each type in static and dynamic states, displacements were measured from one and two dimensional perspectives. ECG measurement evaluation was also performed for Signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) analysis. Applying the experimental results, the draft garment designs were modified and complemented to produce two types of modular approaches 'continuous-attached' and 'insertion-detached' for the ECG-sensing smart clothing.

Normally, aero photography using UAV uses about 430 MHz bandwidth radio frequency (RF) modem and navigates and remotely controls through the connection between UAV and ground control system. When using the exhausting method, it has communication range of 1-2 km with frequent cross line and since wireless communication sends information using radio wave as a carrier, it has 10 mW of signal strength limitation which gave restraints on life my distance communication. The purpose of research is to use communication technologies such as long-term evolution (LTE) of smart camera, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and other communication modules and cameras that can transfer data to design and develop automatic shooting system that acquires images to UAV at the necessary locations. We conclude that the android based UAV filming and communication module system can not only film images with just one smart camera but also connects UAV system and ground control system together and also able to obtain real-time 3D location information and 3D position information using UAV system, GPS, a gyroscope, an accelerometer, and magnetic measuring sensor which will allow us to use real-time position of the UAV and correction work through aerial triangulation.
Sensor networks consist of many tiny sensor nodes that collaborate among themselves to collect, process, analyze, and disseminate data. In sensor networks, sensor nodes are typically powered by batteries, and have limited computing resources. Moreover, the redeployment of nodes by energy exhaustion or their movement makes network topology change dynamically. These features incur problems that do not appear in traditional, wired networks. Security in sensor networks is challenging problem due to the nature of wireless communication and the lack of resources. Several efforts are underway to provide security services in sensor networks, but most of them are preventive approaches based on cryptography. However, sensor nodes are extremely vulnerable to capture or key compromise. To ensure the security of the network, it is critical to develop suity mechanisms that can survive malicious attacks from "insiders" who have access to the keying materials or the full control of some nodes. In order to protect against insider attacks, it is necessary to understand how an insider can attack a sensor network. Several attacks have been discussed in the literature. However, insider attacks in general have not been thoroughly studied and verified. In this paper, we study the insider attacks against routing protocols in sensor networks using the Ad-hoc On-Demand Distance Vector (AODV) protocol. We identify the goals of attack, and then study how to achieve these goals by modifying of the routing messages. Finally, with the simulation we study how an attacker affects the sensor networks. After we understand the features of inside attacker, we propose a detect mechanism using hop count information.
A wireless sensor network(WSN) which roles as a mediator between living environment and computers in ubiquitous computing is very essential research area. Due to the constraint that sensor nodes should work in very resource-restricted circumstances, an operating system that can manage resources effectively is demanded. Also, a sensor network should be able to deal with many events quickly and simultaneously in order to respond to various physical changes in outer environment. The Sensor Network Operating System such as TinyOS, MANTIS and NanoQplus is much designed so that it can satisfy such requirement. But, for programmers who develop application program for sensor networks, they have lack of frameworks which the development is easily possible from restricted development environment. In this paper for this, we implemented a state machine framework apt for responsive systems in NanoQplus which is multi-thread-based sensor network operating system. In addition we propose an event broker module(EBM) for effective event dispatching, a message data structure for message sharing among state machines, and an execution module that handles messages and their queue and performs state transition of the machines. Furthermore, we could do the development more easily an application program with a state-based framework by developing CASE tools.
Ship Standard Network was submitted as a common subject of e-navigation by 81th IMO MSC 2005. This agenda was given an official status with strategy planning of e-navigation for Ship Standard Network after approval of WG program of 81th MSC 2006. Nowadays approximately 400 heterogeneous navigation and communication equipments are working on ships at sea. Standardization of ship network is to support exchanging various data efficiently. Among them, 4S network is defined as a wireless communication network between ship to ship and ship to shore which provides unceasing communication channel ship to shore. It has been expected to trigger various services and applications based on 4S network. However, no technologies and products has been appeared at fields yet. but now there's not specific technologies and developing products. In this paper, We developed a 4S multiple media switching server and a ship-land information exchange system to overcome the heterogeneity and provide efficient communication environments.. The performance of the implemented system was verified by TTA(Telecommunications Technology Association) V&V(Verification and Validation).

Tele-medicine and emergency medical system are necessary for moving from an accidental point or far distance to a hospital and emergency treatment or home treatment before a hospital. Emergency treatment is extremely important in the case of death before arriving a hospital and deformed of disabled by medical treatment delay. A necessary element for this medical system is the emergency communication system. This system is on preparing for an ability of furnishing patient status to a corresponding health service by monitoring the patient at an ambulance of the accident place. This is the transportation of basic biological information of a patient to a medical center by wireless communication system and the corresponding hospital of medical center examine the patient by monitoring, then they can send emergency medical order to the patient for emergency treatment. The TRS is most efficient way of emergency medical communication system, which is currently used with popularity. In this paper studied simultaneously a way of detecting and transporting bio-logical signals, and monitoring of transporting data with communication of voice in the accident place of ambulance.
Recently, a lot of interest is increased in sensor network which gathers various data through many sensor nodes deployed in wired and wireless network environment. However, because of the limitation in memory, computation, and energy of the sensor nodes, security problem is very important issue. In sensor network, not only the security problem, but also computing power should be seriously considered. In this paper, considering these characteristics, we make the sensor network consist of normal sensor nodes and clusterheaders with enough space and computing power, and propose a group key rekeying scheme adopting PCGR(Predistribution and local Collaborationbased Group Rekeying) for secure group communication. In our proposal, we enhance the security by minimizing the risk to safety of the entire network through verifying the new key value from clusterheader by sensor nodes. That is, to update the group keys, clusterheaders confirm sensor nodes through verifying the information from sensor nodes and send the new group keys back to authentic member nodes. The group keys sent back by the clusterheaders are verified again by sensor nodes. Through this mutual authentication, we can check if clusterheaders are compromised or not. Qualnet simulation result shows that our scheme not only guarantees secure group key rekeying but also decreasesstorage and communication overhead.

Internet-of-Things(IoT) is the computing paradigm converged with different technologies, where diverse devices are connected via the wireless network, acquire environmental information from their equipped sensors, and actuated. IoT applications typically provide smart services to users by interacting with multiple devices connected to the network and are designed by integrating multiple technologies such as sensor network, communication technologies, and software engineering. Moreover, since the concept of IoT has been introduced recently, most of the researches are in the beginning step, which is too early to be practically applied. Due to these facts, developing IoT application results in unconventional technical challenges which have not been observed in typical software applications. And, it is not straightforward to apply conventional project guidelines to IoT application development projects. Hence, there can be many difficulties to successfully complete the projects. Therefore, for successful completion of the projects, we analyze technical challenges occurring in all phases of the project lifecycle, i.e. project preparation stage and development stage. And, we propose the effective solutions to overcome the issues. To verify identified issues and presented solutions, we present the result of applying the solutions to an IoT application development. Through the case study, we evaluate how reasonable the unconventional technical issues are generated and analyze effectiveness of applying the solutions to the application.
A Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) is a collection of wireless mobile nodes dynamically self-organizing in arbitrary and temporary network topologies without the use of any existing network infrastructure. The AODV (Ad Hoc On-Demand Distance Vector) Protocol is one of the typical reactive routing protocols, in that mobile nodes initiate routing activities only in the presence of data packets in need of a route. In this paper, we focus upon the local repair mechanism of AODV. When a link is broken, the upstream node of the broken link repairs the route to the destination by initiating a local route discovery process. The process involves the flooding of AODV control messages in every node within a radius of the length from the initiating node to the destination. In this paper, we propose an efficient local repair scheme for AODV called AFLRS (AODV-based Fast Local Repair Scheme). AFLRS utilizes the existing routing information in the intermediate nodes which have been on the active route to the destination before a link break occurs. AFLRS can reduce the flooding range of AODV control messages and the route recovery time because it can repair route through the intermediate nodes. For the performance evaluation of the proposed AFLRS, we have simulated the local repair mechanisms by using NS2 and AODV-UU. The performance results show that AFLRS can achieve faster route recovery than the local repair mechanism of AODV.
