LED조명 디바이스를 접목한 무선통신 인터페이스 시스템 모듈 성능 분석 (Performance Analysis of Wireless Communication Interface System Module Combined LED Light Device)

  • 본 논문에서는 LED(Light Emitting Diode)조명을 통해 통신을 접목하여 이용이 간편한 가시광통신 시스템을 구현 하고자 한다. LED 가시광 통신을 실현시키고자 송신부에는 1~12개의 LED 발광 소자와 수신부에는 가변 PD(Photo Diode)인 센서를 사용한다. LED가시광통신을 하고자 개발이 이루어진 송 수신부의 초기 거리 값은 0~1.5m 이상으로 하고, 전체 시스템 전송 속도는 수 천 kbps의 가변성을 가지는 가시광 미디어 전송 시스템을 이루었다. LED 모듈의 전체적인 효율 증대를 위해 렌즈 착용시와 미착용시 성능 실험을 하여 효율 측정을 하였으며, 구현된 연구의 성능 분석을 위한 기존 PC 모듈에 LED 및 PD를 구성하여 LED 개수, 전송속도에 따른 최대 송수신의 통신 거리를 실험하고 응용 방법과 가능성에 대해서 확인하고자 한다.

  • Wireless life signal detecting system is implemented with using the mechanism of Doppler Effect. This system can measure the respiration and heart rates with the periodic movement of skin and muscle near the heart. The system is consisted of antenna, RF transmitter, receiver, and display part. We did use two operating frequencies at 1.9 ㎓ and 10 ㎓. Firstly, the link budget about detecting system is analyzed and the signal detected from the system is compared with electrocardiogram(ECG) of monitor which is using for patient monitoring in hospital. Secondly, the detection of vital sign is also performed according to the different distances, and including behind the wall.

Flicker-free Visible Light Communication Using Three-level RZ Modulation

  • We introduce a new visible light communication (VLC) method in which three-level return-to-zero (RZ) modulation is used for flicker-free transmission. In the VLC transmitter, the three-level RZ modulation ensures that the average optical power is constant; thus, a flicker-free light-emitting diode (LED) light is achieved. In the VLC receiver, a resistor-capacitor high-pass filter is used for generating spike signals, which are used for data recovery while eliminating the 120 Hz optical noise from adjacent lighting lamps. In transmission experiments, we applied this method for wireless transmission of an air quality sensor message using the visible light of an LED array. This configuration is useful for the construction of indoor wireless sensor networks for air pollution monitoring using LED lights.

  • In this paper, we have designed the VHDL module of DS/SS QPSK wireless modem processor for digital data communication. The spread spectrum method is used for modern processor, because this method guarantees good frequency efficiency and higher security. Also, it guarantees good performance in digital communication system under multi-path interferences. The differential encoder and decoder are used for simple circuit composition in the signal detection. For the synchronization of receiver, matched filter and power detector are used.   • In this paper, a transceiver using waveguide modules for 60 GHz band wireless LAN is implemented and analyzed. The characteristics of millimeter-wave transmitter are 0 dbm output power, 10.5 dB gain and 38 dBc spurious emition. The receiver's are 3.16 dB noise figure, 8.8 dB gain, -86dBm sensitivity. Maximum communication distance is more than loom. Intermediate frequency comply with IEEE 802.11b. The transfer of multimedia files is performed. The transceiver's data rate can vary with intermediate frequency bandwidth and the transceiver is designed more than 200 Mbps.

  • In this paper presents the portable wireless ECG data detection and diagnosis system based on discreet wavelet transform. An algorithm based on wavelet transform suitable for real time implementation has been developed in order to detect ECG characteristics. In particular, QRS complex, S and T waves may be distinguished form noise, baseline drift or artifacts. Proposed telemetry system that a transmitting media using radio frequency(RF) for the middle range measurement of the physiological signals and receiving media using optical for electromagnetic interference problem. A standard hi-directional serial communication interface between the telemetry system and a personal computer or laptop, allows read-time controlling, diagnosing and monitoring of system. A portable telemetry system within a size. of 65${\times}$125${\times}$45mm consists of three parts: a digital signal processing part for physiological signal detect or diagnose, RF transmitter for data transfer and a optical receiver for command receive. Advantages of proposed telemetry system is wireless middle range(50m) FM transmission, reduce electromagnetic interference to a minimum. which enables a comfortable diagnosis system at home.

  • 무선 전파환경 내에서 무선 LAN AP 등의 적절한 배치를 통하여 효율적인 서비스 반경을 확보할 수 있다. 이를 위해서는 전파환경의 장애물 등의 배치에 따른 구조적 영향을 고려할 필요가 있다. 이에 전파환경 내에 임의 장애물이 존재하고 송수신 지점에 따른 전파의 회절 및 산란특성을 FDTD법에 의해 해석하고 회절효과에 따른 장애물의 영향을 평가하였다.

  • BEE 802.11 Wireless LAN protocol uses fixed transmission power. It does not consider a power control mechanism based on the distance between the transmitter and the receiver in order to improve overall channel utilization. In home environment, where stations generally lie around an AP, the AP is subject to use transmission power more than it needs. And wireless LAN stations may require different minimal desired received power. If there are many adjacent BSSs in densely populated WLAN area, they might cause RF interference to one another. In this paper we focus on the improvement of aggregate utilization by mitigating RF interference among BSSs. We show that RF interference by APs can be reduced by controlling transmission power using Link Margin information. The reduced interference will then lead to the increased aggregate throughput which is efficient resource utilization.

  • This paper proposes a high efficiency wireless power transfer system with an asymmetric 4-coil resonator. It presents a theoretical analysis, an optimal design method, and experimental results. In the proposed asymmetric 4-coil system, the primary side consists of a source coil and two transmitter coils which are called intermediate coils, and in the secondary side, a load coil serves as a receiver coil. In the primary side, two intermediate coils boost the apparent coupling coefficient at around the operating frequency. Because of this double boosting effect, the system with an asymmetric 4-coil resonator has a higher efficiency than the conventional symmetric 4-coil system. The prototype operates at 90 kHz ofswitching frequency and has 200 mm of the power transmission distance between the primary side and the secondary side. An AC-DC overall system efficiency of 96.56% has been achieved at 3.3 kW of output power.

Wireless Digital Signal Transmission using Visible Light Communication with High-Power LEDs

  • This paper presents an indoor prototype for wireless digital signal transmission using Visible Light Communications (VLC) in which high power Light Emitting Diode (LED) is used. Using low cost and off-the-shelf components, the transmitter module is constructed using an AVR Atmega128 microcontroller and commercial white beam LEDs. Modulating the light intensity of the LED enables digital signals to be transmitted across the optical link. The receiver module employs a high speed PIN photodetector for optical signal detection and a recovery circuit for optical-electro signal conversion. By sending digitalized data via VLC technology, many applications can be realized in the areas of consumer advertising, traffic safety information and disaster control.
