이동통신 기술과 인터넷 기술을 접목시킨 무선인터넷을 이용한 다양한 서비스가 제공되고 있다. 무선 인터넷 서비스의 경우에도 유선인터넷 환경에서와 같은 보안 알고리즘 및 인증 서비스를 활용한 서비스가 제공되어야 하나 무선 단말기의 제약으로 인해 유선 인터넷 기술을 그대로 적용하는 것은 용이하지 않다. 본 논문에서는 무선 인터넷 환경에서 인증서의 신뢰성을 보장하기 위해서 인증서의 상태를 확인하고 검증하는 방법들을 분석하고, 검증정보를 최소화하고 실시간 검증이 가능한 새로운 인증서 상태 확인 및 검증방법을 제안하였다. 제안한 검증방법은 사용자가 폐지된 인증서를 사용 시 옵저버를 이용하여 핸드셰이크 과정에서 옵저버 정보를 추가하여 전송함으로써 실시간 검증 뿐 아니라 인증서 검증으로 인한 전송시간을 절감할 수 있다.

With the increasing growth of Internet and wireless IP networks, Multimedia systems need to be envisaged as information resources where users can access anywhere and anytime. However, efficient services in these multimedia systems are open and challenging research problem due to user mobility, limited resources in wireless devices and expensive radio bandwidth. To implement multimedia services over heterogeneous network, the IP header compression scheme can be used for saving bandwidth. In this paper, we present an efficient solution for header compression, which is modified form of ECRTP. It shows an architectural framework adopting modified ECRTP when IP tunneling network using GRE over IPSec is implemented. We have conducted simulations in order to analyze the effects of different header compression techniques while delivering real-time services to the wireless access network through secured IP Network. The impacts on performance have been investigated through a series of experiments.

The portable mobile devices with high performance and high speed 5G network activate and explode the demands for ubiquitous information services that remove the limitations of time for the communication and places to request for the information. NN (Nearest Neighbor) search is one of the most important types of queries to be processed efficiently in the information services. Various indexes have been proposed to support efficient NN search in the wireless broadcast system. The indexes adopting Hilbert curve, grid partition or Voronoi diagram enable the clients to search for NN quickly in the wireless broadcast channel. It is necessary that an efficient means to evaluate the performances of various indexes. In this paper, we propose an open framework that can adopt a variety of indexing schemes and evaluate and compare the performances of them. The proposed framework is organized with open and flexible structure that can adopt hybrid indexing schemes extensible to Voronoi diagram as well as simple indexing schemes. With the implemented framework, we demonstrate the efficiency and scalability and flexibility of the proposed framework by evaluating various indexing schemes for NN query.

오늘날 발달된 무선 네트워크 통신의 기술로 인해 많은 데이터를 빠르게 전송할 수가 있으며, 또한 더 좋은 단말기의 등장으로 멀티미디어 정보를 보여줄 수 있기 때문에 다양한 무선 인터넷 서비스가 가능하게 되었다. 따라서 SKT나 LGT와 같은 통신업체는 2.5세대 무선 기술과 스마트카드를 이용하여 온라인 쇼핑, 모바일뱅킹 등 많은 서비스를 제공하고 있다. 핸드폰을 대부분 사람들이 소유하고 있기 때문에 교통 시스템에 유용한 지불시스템으로 사용할 수 있는데, 모바일 지불 시스템이 무선 온라인 서비스로 이미 개발되어져 있기 때문이다. 본 논문에서는 모바일 교통 지불 시스템이 소개되고 있다. 운전자는 고속도로를 이용할 때 통행료를 지불해야한다. 최근에 하이패스 시스템이 개발되어 자동차는 요금을 지불하기 위해 정지하지 않고 톨게이트를 지나가면서 자동적으로 지불이 가능하다. 이러한 지불은 장착된 지불 시스템으로 인해 가능하다. 우리는 좀 더 발전된 형태로 스마트카드를 장착한 핸드폰을 지불 기기로 사용할 수 있는 시스템을 개발하였다. 개인과 금전 정보는 스마트카드에 저장되고 단말기와 OBU와의 통신은 불루투스 방식을 사용한다.

This study aims to identify the factors that influence adoption intentions towards portable Internet service, based on the individual characteristics that assist in creating markets and developing strategies. Two types of factors are defined: individual characteristics including demographics, existing services usages, prior knowledge, adoption attitudes, and service evaluations; and adoption intentions including the willingness to subscribe, subscription term, willingness to pay, usage type, and preferred terminal. The results indicate that the importance of demographic variables depends on adoption intentions, and that users of mobile Internet service and wireless LAN are probably targets for portable Internet service. Furthermore, the results demonstrate the need for an enhanced perception of the usefulness and ease of use of service, as well as an intensive marketing activity for potential users and a bearable innovation to stimulate the market for portable Internet service.

인터넷을 기반망으로 하는 무선 종단망에서 방송용 또는 멀티캐스팅용 IP 주소를 이용한 기존의 무선 인터넷 지역방송 기술의 단점이 본 논문에서 보완되었다. 즉, 수신기가 방송을 요청하는 방법과 멀티캐스팅과 브로드캐스팅 방식을 결합시키거나, 수신기와 기지국의 하위 계층에서 방송 데이터 필터링을 수행하여, 통신망과 방송 서버, 기지국, 수신기의 부하가 대폭 감소되었다. 본 논문에서 제안된 기술은 일반적인 방송 서비스뿐만 아니라 LBS(Location Based Service)나 Telematics 서비스에 최적이다.

In this paper, a smart constrained application protocol (CoAP)-based gateway with a border router is proposed for home safety services to remotely monitor the trespass, fire, and indoor air quality. The smart CoAP gateway controls a home safety sensor node with a pyroelectric infrared motion sensor, a fire sensor, a humidity and temperature sensor, and a non-dispersive infrared CO2 sensor and gathers sensing data from them. In addition, it can convert physical sensing data into understandable information and perform packet conversion as a border router for seamless connection between a low-power wireless personal area network (6LoWPAN) and the Internet (IPv6). Implementation and laboratory test results verify the feasibility of the smart CoAP gateway which especially can provide about 97.20% data throughput.

Due to rapid increases in Internet users, it becomes essential to provide well-established web services and monitor web server's load for the sake of reliable web server management. The existing web server load monitoring has been based on such cable methods as RPC, RMI, CORBA and etc. But it has the limitation in bringing information both anywhere and anytime over the Internet. This thesis is aimed to realize real-time wireless web server monitoring system based on Wireless Application Protocol (WAP). As any user can log on wirelessly to the Internet at any time through wireless terminals like PDA, the realization will make possible instant and real-time web server monitoring.

최근 무선 정보통신의 발달로 인터넷 중심이 기존의 유선에서 무선으로 급격히 이동함에 따라 다양한 무선인터넷을 지원하는 단말기의 보급과 더불어 빠른 성장세를 보이고 있다. 이에, 본 고에서는 현재 상업용의 모바일 플랫폼 기술들인 KVM, MAP, GVM, BREW 등의 기술 동향 및 관련 표준화 현황 등을 고찰한다 또한, 국내 무선 인터넷 환경에 적합한 서비스 플랫폼 표준 요구사항을 제시하고 있다. 본 논문의 결과는 향후 활성화될 M-Commerce의 응용서비스 제공을 위한 플랫폼 구현 기반이 될 것으로 기대된다.
