  • The wireless power transmission market is growing at an average annual rate of 51.5% from $ 16.4 billion in 2015 to $ 131.1 billion in 2020. However, there are limitations to commercialization due to the development of standards and technologies. Thus, this study identified trends in standards and regulations by market and by country. The research collected and filtered a total of 69,488 worldwide wireless power transfer patents by June 2019 and extracted a total of 28,555 patents. Based on this, technology development status was analyzed and predicted. In this study, long-distance and short-range technology development with high technology development difficulty and low technology development ratio could lead to growth of the entire wireless charging market. It is analyzed that investment and policy preparation are necessary to secure source technology for long-distance / near technology development than China, Japan and Europe.

  • Data centers, which implement cloud service, have been faced up with quick growth of energy consumption and low efficiency of energy. 60GHz wireless communication technology, as a new option to data centers, can provide feasible approach to alleviate the problems. Aiming at energy optimization in 60GHz wireless data centers (WDCs), we investigate virtualization technology to assign virtual resources to minimum number of servers, and turn off other servers or adjust them to the state of low power. By comprehensive analysis of wireless data centers, we model virtual network and physical network in WDCs firstly, and propose Virtual Resource Mapping Packing Algorithm (VRMPA) to solve energy management problems. According to VRMPA, we adopt packing algorithm and sort physical resource only once, which improves efficiency of virtual resource allocation. Simulation results show that, under the condition of guaranteeing network load, VPMPA algorithm can achieve better virtual request acceptance rate and higher utilization rate of energy consumption.

  • This paper compares the performance of wireless communication technologies to replace the wired networks by wireless networks on avionics intra-communication. Due to the drawbacks of wired network, such as complexity, weight, maintenance cost and scalability, it leads to the high data rate and network traffic demands of avionics systems. Therefore, in WAIC(Wireless Avionics Intra-Communications) system suggested by ITU(International Telecommunication Union), based on environment of avionics system and requirements of a wired network, wireless network structures are defined to solve the problems of wired networks. In this paper, we consider features, advantages and disadvantages of wireless communication technologies which can be used for wireless avionics network, and we propose suitable wireless communication technology candidates for wireless avionics networks in WAIC environments.

  • UWB is the most spotlighted wireless technology that transmits data at very high rates using low power over a wide spectrum of frequency band. UWB technology makes it possible to transmit data at rate over 100Mbps within 10 meters. To preserve important header information, MBOFDM UWB adopts Reed-Solomon(23,17) code. In receiver, RS decoder needs high speed and low latency using efficient hardware. In this paper, we suggest the architecture of RS decoder for MBOFDM UWB. We adopts Modified-Euclidean algorithm for key equation solver block which is most complex in area. We suggest pipelined processing cell for this block and show the detailed architecture of syndrome, Chien search and Forney algorithm block. At last, we show the hardware implementation results of RS decoder for ASIC implementation.

  • This paper presents the AMR (Automatic Meter Reading) system using the binary CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) radio technology. The binary CDMA is the new radio technology in domestic research. Main implementation topics includes the binary CDMA remote meter reading system, the wireless piconet configuration for the wireless automatic meter reading, and the transmission scheduling for sending and receiving data. Also, the wireless packet data encryption is very important topics for the wireless automatic meter reading. The proposed AMR system is implemented as a pilot project in Jeju and Gangwon. It can be seen that the wireless remote reading using the binary CDMA wireless technology can be applied to the AMR system.

  • 본 논문에서는 멀티 코드 CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access)시스템에서 고속의 멀티미디어 서비스를 지원하기 위해 정보 데이터열을 QAM(Quadrature Amplitude Modulation) 부호화하는 방법을 제안한다.
