Policy Plans for Activation of Korean ITS Industry (국내 ITS 산업 활성화를 위한 정책적 방안 연구)

  • Current Korean ITS policies are decided by two persuading parties, so that ITS industry has great difficulties in establishing unified policies and developing ITS related industries. This paper provides the analysis of current Korean ITS policy issues, and suggests the ways how to activate the ITS industry. First, the ITS policy should be unified through agreement between related departments in government. Second, ITS should be recognized as social overhead capital and thus implemented as national infrastructure. Third, define the range of ITS services to prevent confusion with general wireless and mobile communication services.

  • The Korean Smartphone industry has advanced rapidly. There seems to have a considerable change in Korea smartphone industry as the security policy related to wireless devices is changed from Whitelist Policy to Blacklist Policy. In regard to such a change, this paper analyzes the smartphone market in terms of the Business Ecosystem Model suggested by Moore. This study examines how Korean Smartphone Ecosystem has been formed and how any shifts in policy will have an effect on the ecosystem. In line with this policy shift, this study also suggests the ways how these ecosystem members should establish a strategy for the continuous development of this smartphone ecosystem. Furthermore, this study presents cooperation directions among ecosystem members based on the organic connections in the ecosystem as well as each individual's corresponding measures. In addition, based on this analysis, this study puts forward Korean smartphone ecosystem's current problems, improvement, and its future.

  • In this study, the unmanned vehicle to develop a preliminary step, we were facilities for Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) simulator is designed and implemented. Industry is increasingly the more advanced automation and management systems need to be efficient. These studies are at least 24-hour continuous unmanned vehicles and personnel can result in reduction of labor costs. In addition, safety accidents can be minimized in the industry as an effect of intelligent AGV is essential. This study is the initial step for the development of AGV. manufactured simulator to Simulation and drives the performance of the system is evaluated. The configuration of the simulator, ultrasonic sensors, infrared sensors, and using the obstacle were to follow a given path. In addition, two-way communication between the host computer and the main processor that was. communication method that IEE802.11 meets the standard is applied to high-speed wireless LAN systems, each of the sensor information is calculated. AGV having a drive shaft 4 of the four wheels are respectively independent structure. AGV's main processor is driven using a high-performance DSP, and the controller controls the steering device of the load could be significantly reduced.

  • As a future key industry, digital signage is being noticed that provides various type of contents and message through a digital display. In particular, korean digital signage industry gets a favorable evaluation for the high level of digital display industry and wired and wireless networking infrastructure. This paper discusses on not only the current status of digital signage in terms of the overall development and standardization, but the very recent technologies such as the ultra-high definition video and human perception that can be applied for future digital signage. Then, this paper concludes by deriving the problems with the current digital signage industry and presenting solutions for future vitalizations of digital signage.

  • Policy introducing open access to the wireless network has been under discussion in the Korean mobile telecommunications industry. The policy, which directs mobile operators to allow mobile portals other than their own ones to access their network and subscribers, is expected to vitalize mobile Internet market through competition among portals.   • According as marine leisure industry has developed and the demand of leisure culture has increased rapidly, a desire about service which supply marine safety and connect marine information is enlarging. The performance of personal mobile device has improved and been evolved by composition terminal. So, it became possible that storage and expression of multimedia information as well as simple communication facility. Domestic wireless internet has given development strain to developer and contents Provider(CP) because of different platform. And this has become hindrance factor of wireless internet activation. But, recently, the use of WIPI(Wireless Internet Platform for Interoperability), the wireless internet standard platform, could use different wireless application programs and also guarantee the independency for hardware. We wish to develop contents of download form that supply geographic information of Electronic Navigational Chart(ENC) in the marine that is digitalized to carrying along terminal of WIPI base and various informations for marine leisure. For this, DB that offer ENC and additional information should be constructed. Also, we need server (CPS; Contents provider Server) that offer required contents. In this paper, we design web retrieval agent which store request information to database. When consumer required necessary information through personal mobile device, CPS can inform that by real time. So, we wish to develop agent component that parse informations in various World Wide Webs, and store to database.

Development of Wireless Measurement System for Bridge Using PDA and Fiber Optical Sensor (PDA와 광섬유 센서를 이용한 교량의 무선계측 시스템 개발)

  • This study proposes a wireless measurement system that is a new safety management system by using an FBG sensor and a PDA. The sensor part has many advantages of implementing a wireless measurement system, and the study emploies an FBG-LVDT sensor, FBG-STRAIN sensor, FBG-TEMP sensor, and FBG-ACC sensor, using FBG sensors. Also, the study show a configuration of a signal process system for operating a wireless transmission system of FBG sensors applied to the signal process system, and engrafted the cutting edge information technology industry in order to display from a remote distance using a PDA. In order to verify the applicability of the developed FBG sensors and wireless measurement monitoring system to the field, their accuracy, and usability, the study has conducted a static and dynamic test to a bridge in the field. The study made an assessment of service for the vibration of the bridge by applying dynamic data measured by an FBG-LVDT sensor and FBG-ACC sensor to Meister's curve and prepared methods for assessing the vibration of the bridge by proposing a standard of vibration limitation given the service of vibration of the bridge. As a follow up for this study, it would be necessary to set up an overall model for the standard of service assessment established in this study.

  • The current meaning of "Big Data" refers to all the techniques for value eduction and actionable analytics as well management tools. Particularly, with the advances of wireless sensor networks, they yield diverse patterns of digital records. The records are mostly semi-structured and unstructured data which are usually beyond of capabilities of the management tools. Such data are rapidly growing due to their complex data structures. The complex type effectively supports data exchangeability and heterogeneity and that is the main reason their volumes are getting bigger in the sensor networks. However, there are many errors and problems in applications because the managing solutions for the complex data model are rarely presented in current big data environments. To solve such problems and show our differentiation, we aim to provide the solution of actionable analytics and semantic reusability in the sensor web based streaming big data with new data structure, and to empower the competitiveness.
