A Portable Head Up Display System with A Multi Windows for Vehicles (다중 화면으로 구성된 차량용 헤드업 디스플레이에 대한 연구)

  • A portable head up display (HUD) using the optical combiner lens with a 0.47inch LCD panel for a portable multi-windows virtual display is proposed. The proposed system consists of several micro panels, optical devices, and RGB 3in1 light-emitting diodes (LED) for making the full color display, and video and audio format for the high definition multimedia interface (HDMI) for the connecting between HUD and mobile phone. The multi-windows HUD is designed as an alternative to conventional built-in type HUD targeting the mass volume aftermarket at an affordable price.

  • Based on the theory of space perception, this paper concludes that the mixed reality application under the theory of space perception has a three-level definition of visual hierarchy and then analyzes the component elements of interface design and the classification mode of interface windows. Next, carry out case practice research through this theoretical definition, and finally conduct the survey and analysis of questionnaire data, verifying that the mixed reality interface design based on spatial perception theory meets the user experience elements of Usability, Availability, and Attraction. The conclusion is that the constituent elements of interface design and the window classification mode can provide specific and practical design specifications for mixed reality interface design, reduce the interaction cost of completing tasks, reduce users' cognitive load, and make it easier for users to receive interface information

  • In order to achieve computer-oriented control and automation of manufacturing processec, a distributed NC (DNC_) system was developed for FMS under the Windows environment. The DNC system consists of conventional DNC, PMC interface and tool management modules. Real-time system conditon monitoring and control fuctions required for machine tools and machining processes were accomplished by developing a PMC interface module called MMC board. Tool condition monitoring and management was performed by the developed tool management module composed of a tool setting probe and softwares. Performance of the DNC system was confirmed on the horizontal and the vertical type machining center equipped with FANUC OMC for the large amount of experiments.

  • A simulator has been developed in order to simulate and to be used to design the pervaporation system for separating organic/water mixtures. This simulator is composed of simulation engine, which includes a modeling of pervaporation system and the numerical analysis, and Graphical User Interface(GUI), which enables us to operate the simulator more easily in the Windows environment. The structure and operation of simulator were clearly presented by demonstrating the full-scale ethanol dehydration process. The performance of simulator turned out to be fairly good through comparing the simulation results with the experimental data of ethanol dehydration pilot tests.

  • The vehicle handling performances have a close relation with the driver's safety. And the CAT(Computer aided testing) system has been introduced as a powerful tool for improving the handling performances. In this study, a CAT system for effectively measuring and analysing the handling performances is developed based on the windows GUI(Graphic user interface) environment. Especially, in order to derive a lot of significant handling performance parameters from a series of proving ground tests, the CAT system has various functions related to real time measurement, time domain analysis, frequency domain analysis, steady state analysis and so on.

  • We propose a unmaned integrating control system based-on Windows XP version Off-Line Programming System which can simulate a Robot model in 3D Graphics space in this paper. The robot with 4 and 6 axes modeled SM5 and AM1 respectively were adopted as an objective model. Forward kinematics, inverse kinematics and robot dynamics modeling were included in the developed off-line program. The interface between users and the off-line programming system in the Windows XP's graphic user interface environment was also studied. The developing language is Microsoft Visual C++. Graphic libraries, OpenGL, by silicon Graphics, Inc. were utilized for 3D Graphics.

  • We studied the technique which can control the real system without additional hardware drivers using virtual machine driver operated on the windows operating system. We showed the feasibility of the proposed scheme under the error and the delay of a sampling time on the multi task processing through the load test of the experiment using graphic user interface.

  • We suggest AKL(abstract kernel layer) to. the design and implementation of WAP on basis of multi-platform. AKL is running on the various kernel including REX, MS-DOS, MS-Windows, UNIX and LINUX. For the purpose of it, AKL makes machine-dependant features be minimized and supports a consistent interface on API(application program interface) point of views. Therefore, It makes porting times of a device be shorten and makes easy of maintenance. We validated our suggestion as a consequent of porting WAP into PalmV PDA and mobile phone with AKL.
