Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of uncertainty and spousal support on infertility-related quality of life (QoL) in women undergoing assisted reproductive technologies. Methods: In this correlational survey study, 172 infertile women undergoing assisted reproductive technologies for infertility treatment at M hospital in Seoul participated. Data collection took place at the outpatient department of M hospital using a self-report questionnaire from July to August 2019. Data were analyzed using SPSS for Windows version 28.0. Results: The mean scores for uncertainty, spousal support, and infertility-related QoL were 28.35 (out of 50), 86.67 (out of 115), and 57.98 (out of 100), respectively. Infertility-related QoL was positively correlated with spousal support and negatively correlated with uncertainty. According to the regression analysis, infertility-related QoL was significantly affected by uncertainty, total number of assisted reproductive technology treatments, marriage duration, subjective health status, the financial burden of infertility testing, and the presence of a burdensome person. These variables had an explanatory power of 35.0% for infertility-related QoL. Conclusion: Uncertainty was an important factor influencing infertility-related QoL among women undergoing assisted reproductive technologies. It is necessary to develop and implement a nursing intervention program focused on reducing various forms of uncertainty during assisted reproductive procedures and to consider other factors affecting infertility-related QoL in the clinical setting.
Objectives: This study aims to contribute to the prevention of dental diseases and health care in the elderly by investigating the relationship among the experiences of chronic diseases, dental health status, and the behaviors in the Korean elderly people. Methods: A total of 2,856 elderly people aged 65 or older were selected as the final analysis subjects using data from the 6th National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (2013-2014). Chronic diseases were defined as 'cardiocerebrovascular diseases', 'diabetes', 'chronic respiratory diseases', and 'cancer' diagnosed by the doctors. For the statistical analysis, SPSS 21.0 for Windows was used. Descriptive analysis and a Chi-square test were conducted to investigate the relationship among the experiences of chronic diseases, general characteristics, dental health status, and the behaviors in the Korean elderly. Finally, logistic regression analysis was performed to investigate the relationship among the experiences of chronic diseases, dental health status, and the behaviors. Results:The prevalence of Cardiocerebrovascular diseases was significantly higher in the 3-4 group of community periodontal index with the score of 1.36 (95% CI 1.03-1.00) than in the 0-2 group. The prevalence of Cardiocerebrovascular diseases was significantly higher in the group without dental examination during the past one year with the score of 1.29 (95% CI 1.00-1.66). The prevalence of diabetes was significantly higher in the uncomfortable speaking state group with the score 1.46 (95% CI 1.12-1.91). The prevalence of cancer was significantly higher in the partial denture needs group with the score 1.67 (95% CI 0.98-2.83). Conclusions: Regular dental examinations and dental health care for the elderly with chronic diseases showed that periodontal health and residual teeth could be maintained and managed. Therefore, continuous customized dental health services should be implemented for the elderly with chronic diseases.
The history of esophageal replacement in infants or children is the history of development of various kinds of alternative conduits such as stomach, colon, and small bowel. The gastric tube has been the most widely used conduit. From January 1988 to May 2003, 23 esophageal replacements with gastric tube were performed at the Department of Pediatric Surgery, Seoul National University Childrens Hospital. Statistical analysis was performed using Windows SPSS11.0 Pearson exact test. There were Gross type A(n=10), type B(n=1), type C(n=11), type D(n=1). Ten patients who had long gap esophageal atresia (type A-8, type B-1, type C-1) and 13 patients (type A 2, type C-10, type D-1) who had stenosis, leakage, recurred tracheoesophageal fistula, and esophagocutaneous fistula after previous corrective operations, had esophageal replacement with gastric tube. Mean follow-up periods were 4 year 2 months (7 months-15 year 1 month). There were postoperative complications including GERD in 16 (69.6 %), leakages in 7 (30.4 %), diverticulum at anastomosis in 2 (8.7 %), anastomosis site stenosis in 4 (17.3 %), and distal stenosis of the gastric tube in 1 (4.3 %). There was no statistical significance between operation types and postoperative leakage and gastroesophageal reflux. In conclusion, esophageal replacement with gastric tube may be a useful surgical option in esophageal atresia with long gap and esophageal atresia complicated by previous corrective operation.

Due to the rapid growth of ship building industry and the increment of ship construction in Korea, several hundred thousand of lifting lugs per year, have been installed at the lifting positions of ship block and removed after finishing their function, therefore. appropriate design system for the strength check or the optimal design of each lug structure has been required in order to increase the capability of efficient design. In this study, the design system of D-type lifting lug structure which is most popular and useful in shipyards, was developed for the purpose of initial design of lug structure. Developed system layout and graphic user interface for this design system based on the $C^{++}$ language were explained step by step. Through the illustration of one example of D-type lug designs, the efficiency of this design system was proved. Therefore, more efficient performance of practical lug structural design will be expected on the windows of personal computer using this design system.

It is very important to evaluate material degradation like temper and carbide embrittlements to secure the reliable and efficient operational conditions and to prevent brittle failure in service. The extent of material deterioration can be accurately evaluated by mechanical test such as impact test or creep test. But it is almost impossible to sample a large specimen from in-service plants. Thus, the material degradation evaluation by a non-destructive method is earnestly required. Recently the non-destructive test technique which uses the grain boundary etching characteristics owing to the variation of material structures has been proposed. However the program for material degradation evaluation using the grain boundary etching method(GEM) in Windows 98 domain doesnt be developed now. The aims of this paper are to develop the program and to complete the new master curve equations for the evaluation of material degradation on in-serviced high temperature components.
The cafeteria is one of the welfare facilities in the college and crowed with students during lunchtime because of the various menu, saying time and cheap price. In designing the cafeteria, we have to consider the users' needs and the factors which effect on their satisfaction and behavior under the pleasant environment. The purpose of this study is to draw the environmental improvement factors by Post Occupancy Evaluation. A survey about the users' actual condition and environmental satisfaction level and a behavior observation in the field were utilized as the study methode. The 150 copies of questionnaire were completed by students who ate at the cafeteria of W college in Daejeon city. The SPSS 15.0 for Windows was used for a statistical analysis. The results are listed below; two factors were drawn as the improvement elements through the combination of the unsatisfactory items obtained by the descriptive statistics and the influential items by the multi-regression analysis. They are images and approach. In the 'image' category, there us a statistical difference between the present image and prefer image. The users prefer much brighter, warmer, newer, more gorgeous, more cheerful, more clear, more active, more comfortable, and more modern image of cafeteria. In the 'approach', the location of ail existing cafeteria is inaccessible from the classrooms in spite of an important relationship between classrooms and cafeteria. Therefore the complementary plan for convenient approach is demanded for improvement of users' satisfaction.
The study was conducted to investigate the influences of food service employees' job burnout, job engagement, and workplace safety perception on their job satisfaction. A survey was administered on 589 school food service employees in Gyeongbuk from December 5, 2005 to February 18, 2006. The final response rate was 71% (N= 416); the data were analyzed using SPSS Windows (ver. 12.0). A majority of the respondents were females (99.0%) and 40 years old or older (75.3%); 84% were temporary contact-based or irregular workers. Among the job burnout dimensions, exhaustion ($2.98{\pm}0.59$) was rated higher than cynicism ($2.33{\pm}0.54$), while professional efficacy level ($3.61{\pm}0.47$) was relatively high. In terms of job engagement, the means of absorption ($3.67{\pm}0.49$) and dedication ($3.65{\pm}0.52$) were higher than that of vigor ($3.22{\pm}0.46$). A systematic environmental level ($3.15{\pm}0.58$) was lower than safety knowledge level ($3.63{\pm}0.49$) among the workplace safety statistics, whereas the anxiety level ($3.25{\pm}0.74$) was relatively high. The food service staff were more satisfied with 'supervisors' and 'co-workers' than with 'pay' and 'promotion'. A hierarchial regression analysis revealed that dedication, absorption, systematic environment, and safety knowledge were significant factors to increase job satisfaction and exhaustion which significantly decreased their job satisfaction.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the relation between test anxiety and mental health in adolescents. Method: The subjects were 450 students of two academic high schools in J City, who were selected through convenient sampling. Data were collected through a survey using a structured questionnaire from September 1st to 15th 2005. Collected data were analyzed using SPSS 10.0 for Windows through descriptive analysis, Pearson's Correlation Coefficient, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe's test and stepwise multiple regression. Result: The mean score of test anxiety was 2.40 (range:1.13-3.81) and that of mental health was 2.77 (range:0.64-5.03). A significant negative correlation was observed between test anxiety and mental health (r=-0.28, p=.000). Test anxiety was significantly different according to adolescents' general characters such as gender (t=-1.98, p=.048), grade (F=3.54, p=.030), school life satisfaction (F=10.73, p=.000) and relationship with the teacher (F=11.60, p=.000). Mental health was significantly different according to adolescents' general characters such as religion (t=2.14, p=.032) and school life satisfaction (F=4.13, p=.017). The most powerful predictor of mental health was test anxiety and it, combined with religion, accounted for 9.0% of variance in mental health in adolescents. Conclusion: Test anxiety and mental health was found to be in a significant negative correlation with each other in adolescents. Therefore, nursing intervention programs for adolescents needs to reduce their test anxiety to improve their mental health.
