  • 비정질 실리콘 박막 태양전지의 설계에 있어서 빛을 처음 받아들이는 p-layer는 전체적인 태양전지 특성에 큰 영향을 준다. 본 논문에서는 window layer의 gas flow rate 변화에 따른 특성이 태양전지에 미치는 영향에 대한 simulation을 수행하였다. 가변 조건으로는 window layer의 산소와 붕소 양에 따른energy bandgap과 conductivity 그리고 activation energy를 단계별로 변화시켜 simulation을 수행하였다. Simulation 결과 산소와 붕소의 양에 따른 window layer의 특성은 태양전지의 특성에 큰 영향을 끼친다. 본 연구는 simulation data를 기반으로 real device 제작하는데 큰 도움이 될 것이다.

Characterization of Photoelectron Behavior of Working Electrodes with the Titanium Dioxide Window Layer in Dye-sensitized Solar Cells

  • Porous nano crystalline $TiO_2$ is currently used as a working electrode in a dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC). The conventional working electrode is comprised of absorption layer (particle size:~20 nm) and scattering layer (particle size:~300 nm). We inserted window layer with 10 nm particle size in order to increase transmittance and specific surface area of $TiO_2$. The electrochemical impedance spectroscope analysis was conducted to analysis characterization of the electronic behavior. The Bode phase plot and Nyquist plot were interpreted to confirm the internal resistance caused by the insertion of window layer and carrier lifetime. The photocurrent that occurred in working electrode, which is caused by rise in specific surface area, increased. Accordingly, it was found that insertion of window layer in the working electrode lead to not only effectively transmitting the light, but also increasing of specific surface area. Therefore, it was concluded that insertion of window layer contributes to high conversion efficiency of DSSCs.

소나 음향창의 설계 인자가 난류 유동 유기 자체 소음의 전달 함수에 미치는 영향 해석 (The Influence of Design Factors of Sonar Acoustic Window on Transfer Function of Self Noise due to Turbulent Boundary Layer)

  • Turbulent boundary layer noise is already a significant contributor to sonar self noise. For developing acoustic window of sonar system to reduce self noise, a parametric study of design factors of acoustic window is presented. Distance of sensor array from acoustic window, material and damping layer are studied as design factors to influence in the characteristics of the transfer function of self noise. As the result these design factors make change the characteristics of transfer function slightly. Among design factors the location of sensor array is most important parameter in the self noise reduction.

이중창 공기층의 최적두께에 관한 수치해석 (Numerical Analysis of Optimum Air-Layer Thickness in a Double Glazing Window)

  • Double pane window system, in which an air layer with a finite width is filled between glasses, is used in order to increase the insulation efficiency. In the present study, a conjugate heat transfer problem of a double pane window system has been studied numerically in order to investigate the effect of an air layer on the heat transmittance of the double pane window system using a finite element method based on P2P1 basis function. In this study on the conjugate heat transfer of a double pane window system, numerically predicted Nusselt numbers with or without conjugate heat transfer effect have been compared with an available existing empirical formula. It has been found that a Nusselt number from an existing formula for an enclosed space is different from that obtained from the present conjugate heat transfer analysis mainly due to the effects of a very high aspect ratio and conjugate heat transfer mechanism. Furthermore, it has been shown that the numerically estimated optimal air thickness of the double pane window system with conjugate heat transfer effect is a little bit longer than that obtained without considering conjugate heat transfer effect.

  • 무선 애드혹 네트워크에서 MAC layer의 효율을 높이기 위한 하나의 방법으로서 사용되는 MAC frame aggregation은 MAC layer에서 여러 개의 MPDU (MAC protocol data units)를 하나의 PPDU (PHY protocol data units)로 aggregation 시켜서 성능을 향상시키는 방법이다. 애드혹 네트워크에서 TCP 성능 향상을 위해서 사용되는 방법의 하나로서 CWL (congestion window limit)의 설정 방법이 있는데 이는 congestion window의 상한을 두어 부적절한 congestion window 크기가 선택에 따른 영향을 최소화 하고자 하는 방법이다. 본 논문에서는 MAC frame aggregation이 가능한 MANET에서 최적화된 TCP 성능을 위하여 CWL를 조정하는 방법에 대하여 다룬다.

DLC 박막 코팅에 의한 IR window의 적외선 투과율 향상에 관한 연구 (The improved transmittance of an IR window by coating a DLC film)

  • The diamond-like carbon(DLC) film, as an antireflection layer, is coated on a commerically used Ge window. DLC films are deposited by using an rf(13.56 MHz) plasma CVD. The optimal value of thickness and refractive index of DLC layer has been determined from the computer simulation. IR-transmittances of DLC-coated Ge windows are estimated by measuring FTIR spectra in the wavelength range of$ 2.5{\sim}25{\mu}m$. By coating the DLC film on one side of the Ge window, the transmittance measured at a wavelength of $10{\mu}m$ is about 60 %, while that of the bare Ge is lower than 50 %. Also, a higher transmittance up to about 90 % is obtained by coating the DLC film on both sides of the window. It may be suggested that the further improvement of the IR-transmittance can be achieved by more precisely controlling the thickness and the refractive index of DLC layer and also by adopting various muliti-layer antireflection structures.

  • The MFIS (Metal-Ferroelectric-Insulator-Semiconductor) capacitors were fabricated using a metalorganic decomposition method. Thin layers of CeO$_2$ were deposited as a buffer layer on Si substrate and BLT thin films were used as a ferroelectric layer. The electrical and structural properties of the MFIS structure were investigated. X -ray diffraction was used to determine the phase of the BLT thin films and the quality of the CeO$_2$ layer. The morphology of films and the interface structures of the BLT and the CeO$_2$ layers were investigated by scanning electron microscopy. The width of the memory window in the C-V curves for the MFIS structure is 2.82 V. The experimental results show that the BLT-based MFIS structure is suitable for non-volatile memory FETs with large memory window.

BLT 박막을 이용한 MFIS 구조에서 MgO buffer layer의 영향 (Effect of the MgO buffer layer for MFIS structure using the BLT thin film)

  • The BLT thin film and MgO buffer layer were fabricated using a metalorganic decomposition method and the DC sputtering technique. The MgO thin film was deposited as a buffer layer on $SiO_2/Si$ and BLT thin films were used as a ferroelectric layer. The electrical of the MFIS structure were investigated by varying the MgO layer thickness. TEM showsno interdiffusion and reaction that suppressed by using the MgO film as abuffer layer. The width of the memory window in the C-Y curves for the MFIS structure decreased with increasing thickness of the MgO layer Leakage current density decreased by about three orders of magnitude after using MgO buffer layer. The results show that the BLT and MgO-based MFIS structure is suitable for non-volatile memory FETs with large memory window.

  • It is an interest problem to predict substance distributions in three-dimensional space. Recently, a research field as Geostatistics is advanced. It is a kind of inter- or extrapolation mathematically. Some useful means for the inter- and extrapolation are known, in which slide window method with neural networks is hopeful one. We propose multi-dimensional extrapolation using multi-layer neural networks and the slide-window method. The multi-dimensional extrapolation is not similar to one-dimension. It has plural algorithms. We researched line predictors and local-plain predictors I two-dimensional space. The both predictors are equivalent; however, in multi-dimensional extrapolation, it is very important to find the direction of predictions. Especially, since the slide window method requires information to predict the future in sampling data, if they are not ordered appropriately in the direction, the predictor cannot operate. We tested the extrapolation for typical two-dimensional functions, and found an excellent character of slide-window method based on local-plain. By using the method, we can extrapolate the function until twice-outer regions of the definitions.
