  • Isothermal vapor liquid equilibria for the binary system of 3-methylpentane with ethylene glycol monopropyl ether ($C_3E_1$) and ethylene glycol isopropyl ether ($iC_3E_1$) were measured at 303.15, 318.15, and 333.15K. In our previous work, phase equilibria for the binary system of $C_3E_1$ mixtures were investigated according to the chain length of alkane, alcohol or those isomer. But in this study, we discussed the different effect of $C_3E_1$ and its isomer, $iC_3E_1$, on the phase equilibria. The measured systems were correlated with a Peng-Robinson equation of state (PR EOS) combined with Wong-Sandler mixing rule for the vapor phase, and NRTL, UNIQUAC, and Wilson activity coefficient models for the liquid phase. All the measured systems showed good agreement with the correlation results. And it was found that the phase equilibria showed very little difference between the $iC_3E_1$ mixture system and the $C_3E_1$ mixture system.

  • A new current mirror for high-accuracy current-mode signal processing and integrated circuit design was proposed. The current mirror adopts the technique of an adaptive feedback to reduce the input impedance and the output stage of regulated cascode current mirror to increase the output impedance. Simulation results show that the current mirror has input impedance of 0.9Ω, the output impedance of 415 MΩ, and current gain of 0.96 at the supply voltage Vcc=5V. The power dissipation is 1.5㎽. In order to certify the applicability of the proposed current mirror, a voltage-to-current converter using the current mirror is designed. Simulation results show that the converter has good agreement with theoretical equation and has three times better conversion characteristics when compared with voltage-to-current converter using Wilson current mirror.

  • In the process of pervaporation separation for aqueous ethanol solution through cellulose tai-acetate(CTA) membrane, the modelling on the solution-diffusion permeation mechanism was built up on the basis of sorption and permeation experimental results. Also its function type and parameter were examined. The composition of sorption equilibrium in three component system(Ethanol/Water/CTA) were compared with the calculated value by Flory-Huggins' equation using the pure component sorption data. In order to apply the thermodynamic equilibrium relationship between the membrane free composition in the membrane and the equilibrium composition in the liquid phase, the apparent activity this system, however, the results were not satisfied. Diffusion equations were expressed with the concentration gradient considering permeate alone, and a concentration-dependent diffusion coefficient which includes a parameter was used. And this model was fitted with the measured permeation rates. If the permeation rate and the amount of sorption of one component were much larger than those of the other, the bulk flow term could not be negligible. The flux and selectivity were increased with increasing temperature, and with decreasing downstream pressure.
