  • Although both theory and experiment are very important parts in sciences, especially in mathematics, theory only seems to be very important. But the subject of numerical analysis needs both theory and practice in computer. In this paper, I provide some Matlab program codes and matrices which are used in good understanding OR methods in class.

  • In this paper, a new compact dual-band unequal power divider is suggested. Instead of the quarter wavelength transmission line(TX-line)s for the branches of the conventional Wilkinson's power divider, we use composite right- and left-handed(CRLH) phase-shift lines and can reduce the physical length. With the non-linear dispersion of the meta-meterial, each branch in the proposed divider is designed to have $+90^{\circ}$ and $-90^{\circ}$ at $f_1$ and $f_2$ respectively. To validate the proposed method, the performances of the circuit and full-wave simulation results are shown with the CRLH dispersion curve. The measurement results are compared with the simulation results. Also, the size reduction effect by the proposed scheme is addressed.

  • The conventionally classified waves are reclassified in this paper, including the waves associated with metamaterial (MTM) transmission lines. Various types of guided waves in periodic structures are analyzed for 1D Composite Right/Left Handed (CRLH) transmission lines (TL). In addition, dispersion diagrams for 1D CRLH, RH, and LH TLs are presented in terms of radiation conditions. We have refined the design equations of the conventional 1D CRLH TL and proposed a condition to realize the desired phase shift and its slope per unit cell. This condition has been applied to the conventional Wilkinson power divider and realized into MTM added $90^{\circ}$ hybrid coupler. Based on the 10 dB return loss and the $90{\pm}10^{\circ}$ phase shift, the bandwidths of the MTM added $90^{\circ}$ hybrid coupler are 82.25% and 103.5% against the conventional 23% and 52.5%, respectively.

  • In this letter, a compact and fully printed composite right- and left-handed (CRLH) dual-band power divider is proposed. The branches of the conventional Wilkinson power divider are replaced by subwavelength CRLH phase-shift lines having $+90^{\circ}$ for one frequency and $-90^{\circ}$ for another frequency for dual-band and miniaturization performance. Equations are derived for the even- and odd-mode analysis combined with the dual-band CRLH circuit. A PCS and a WLAN band are chosen as the test case and the circuit approach agrees with the CAD simulation and the measurement. Additionally, the CRLH property is shown with the dispersion diagram and the eightfold size reduction is noted.

  • In this paper, a 100 Watt high power amplifier has been implemented and performed evaluation, which is operating at UHF band ($470\;{\sim}\;806\;MHz$) for Digital TV repeater. To achieve increase of bandwidth and high power capability, 3-way power combiner and divider of Wilkinson type was adopted. In order to measure the fabricated 100 Watt power amplifier, the estimation technique function which makes equivalent mask was used. As a result of the measurement, the existence of pilot signal is confirmed and the signal transmitted at the rated output power 100 Watt is brought out the flat feature through 6 MHz bandwidth. and it resulted that its value was less than -47 dB at the edge of radiation channel and less than -110 dB at more than 6 MHz position from channel edge.

  • Broiler chickens grow rapidly, and their nutrient requirements change daily. However, broilers are fed three to five diet phases, meaning nutrients are under or oversupplied throughout production. Increasing diet phases improves production efficiency as there is less time in the production cycle that nutrients are in under or over-supply. Nevertheless, the process of administering four or more diets is costly and often impractical. New technologies are now available to blend feed to match the daily nutrient requirements of broilers. Thus, the aim of this review is to evaluate previous studies measuring the impact of increasing feed phases on nutrient utilisation and growth performance, and review recent studies taking this concept to the extreme; precision nutrition - feeding a new diet for each day of the production cycle. This review will also discuss how modern precision feeding technologies have been utilised and the potential that new technologies may bring to the poultry industry. The development of a precision nutrition regime which targets daily requirements by blending dietary components on farm is anticipated to improve the efficiency of production, reduce production cost and therefore improve sustainability of the industry. There is also potential for precision feeding technology along with precision nutrition strategies to deliver a plethora of other management and economic benefits. These include increased fluidity to cope with sudden environmental or market changes, and the ability to alter diets on a farm by farm level in a large, integrated operation. Thus, the future possibilities and practical implications for such technologies to generate a paradigm shift in feed formulation within the poultry industry to meet the rising demand for animal protein is also discussed.

  • This raper proposes a dual-bandstop filter, which is based on a metamaterial transmission line using the composite right/left-handed (CRLH) and dual composite right/left-handed (D-CRLH) structures. The metamaterial structure is used for miniaturization and dual-bandstop operation at the TDMB frequency range (195 MHz) and DVB-T/H frequency range (670 MHz). The size of the proposed filter is $30{\times}15\;mm$, and the -10 dB bandstop fractional bandwidth is approximately 73 % and 50 % at each frequency, respectively.

  • In this paper, we propose a energy-saving LED module using K-band microwave motion detecting sensor. To oscillate K-band microwave signal, An oscillator using a hairpin-type microstrip resonator was designed to increase stability and make fabrication easier. To radiate the microwave signal, a two-channel(TX/RX) patch antenna arrays was developed. Wilkinson power divider and ring hybrid mixer were developed and applied to obtain Doppler shift from the received signal. Shield cans were installed to protect the stability of the signals and unwanted external noise. The proposed motion detection sensor was mounted on a demonstration LED module and the energy saving performance through pre-test was verified.
