A near control technology using high frequencies in audible frequency between smart devices

  • The existing methods for control between smart devices in near used Bluetooth, WiFi-Direct, or socket communication using Wi-Fi. However, those have a problem that can not use when operating system of each smart devices is different or when socket server is not working. In this paper, we proposed a new near control technology using High frequencies in audible frequency between smart devices to supplement the problem of existing methods. High frequencies use micro-phone and speaker of smart device and are a control signals that is combined high frequencies within 18kHz ~ 22kHz among audible frequency range. The proposed technology using High frequencies do not need any extra communication modules or socket servers and can use the most smart devices without operating system of devices. To evaluate the performance of the proposed technology, we developed a music play and music control application applied the proposed technology and tested a control experiment using the developed applications. The control success rate was 97% and recognition rate of surrounding people about using high frequencies was under 5%. Therefore, the proposed technology will be the useful technology to control between smart devices in near.

A Real-Time Surveillance System for Vaccine Cold Chain Based o n Internet of Things Technology

  • In this study, a real-time surveillance system using Internet of Things technology is proposed for vaccine cold chains. This system fully visualizes vaccine transport and storage. It comprises a 4G gateway module, lowpower and low-cost wireless temperature and humidity collection module (WTHCM), cloud service software platform, and phone app. The WTHCM is installed in freezers or truck-mounted cold chain cabinets to collect the temperature and humidity information of the vaccine storage environment. It then transmits the collected data to a gateway module in the radiofrequency_physical layer (RF_PHY). The RF_PHY is an interface for calling the bottom 2.4-GHz transceiver, which can realize a more flexible communication mode. The gateway module can simultaneously receive data from multiple acquisition terminals, process the received data depending on the protocol, and transmit the collated data to the cloud server platform via 4G or Wi-Fi. The cloud server platform primarily provides data storage, chart views, short-message warnings, and other functions. The phone app is designed to help users view and print temperature and humidity data concerning the transportation and storage of vaccines anytime and anywhere. Thus, this system provides a new vaccine management model for ensuring the safety and reliability of vaccines to a greater extent.

IoT 환경에서 수직 핸드오버를 활용한 효율적인 패킷 전송 (Efficient Packet Transmission Utilizing Vertical Handover in IoT Environment)

  • 최근 주목 받고 있는 사물인터넷(Internet of Things)환경에서는 와이파이와 블루투스 같은 다양한 무선 표준들이 공존한다. 이러한 사물인터넷(IoT) 환경에서는 이종 무선 통신망 간의 핸드오버를 통하여 보다 안정적이고 효율적인 패킷 전송이 가능하다. 이에 본 논문에서는 사물인터넷 환경에서 다양한 무선표준과 통신프로토콜을 지원하는 IoT 브로커를 이용하여 와이파이와 블루투스 사이의 이종망 간 수직 핸드오버(Vertical handover) 시스템을 구현하였다. 핸드오버 시점 결정을 위하여 블루투스 프로토콜 스택(BlueZ)에서 제공하는 함수를 이용한 LQ(Link Quality)및 RSSI(Received Signal Strength Indication)측정 실험과 리눅스에서 제공하는 네트워크 정보를 활용한 사용자의 실시간 트래픽 측정 실험을 통해 최적의 Threshold값을 선정하였다. 실제 하드웨어를 사용한 실험을 통해 제안 방법이 에너지 효율을 향상시키고 QoS(Quality of Service)를 보장할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

양액재배를 위한 생육환경 모니터링 및 제어 플랫폼에 관한 연구 (Study Growth Environmental Monitoring and Controlling Platform for Hydroponic)

  • 전 세계적으로 농업분야가 많이 줄어들고 있는 반면에, IT농업과 미래 먹거리에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있으며, ICT 기반 미래 농업 활성화를 위해 다양한 연구가 진행 중에 있다. 본 논문에서는 양액재배를 위해 온습도, pH(hydrogen ion), EC(Electric Conductivity) 등 생육환경을 모니터링 하는 동시에 최적의 환경을 유지하도록 LED, 쿨링팬 제어가 가능한 시스템을 제안한다. 생육환경 모니터링 및 제어를 위해 아두이노(Arduino) 하드웨어와 자바(Java) 소프트웨어를 이용하였으며, Wi-Fi 공유기를 활용해 소켓통신을 하고 데이터베이스 및 웹서버 인터페이스를 통해 여러 환경에서 식물을 쉽게 관리할 수 있다. 더욱이, 장소 및 시간에 구애 받지 않고 LED를 활용한 재배로 병해충이 생기지 않는 환경에서 지속적인 관리가 가능하여 단순 양액재배보다 빠르게 재배할 수 있는 장점이 있다. 더 나아가, ICT 미래 농업 활성화에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

블루투스 비컨을 사용한 스마트 팩토리에서의 무선인터넷 보안 연결 시스템 구현 (Implementation Wireless Internet Security Connection System Using Bluetooth Beacon in Smart Factory)

  • 최근 부각되고 있는 4차 산업혁명 중의 하나의 경향은 ICT와 제조업의 융합으로 산업기기와 생산과정이 모두 하나의 네트워크로 연결되고 상호 소통하는 것이다. 하나의 네트워크로 연결되어 있다는 것은 관리의 이점이 존재하나, 역으로 보안의 위험성이 존재한다. 특히 Wi-Fi은 MAC주소의 소프트웨어적인 변경이나 비밀번호 노출을 통해 외부인이 손쉽게 접근이 가능하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 Bluetooth 4.0에서 추가된 Bluetooth Low Energy를 사용하는 방식인 Beacon을 응용하여 사용자는 비밀번호를 몰라도 무선인터넷에 보안 연결하는 블랙박스 방식의 시스템을 제안한다. 또한 이 제안한 시스템을 실제로 라즈베리파이로 구현을 하고 실제 연결 테스트를 시행하여 시스템의 효용성을 검증한다.

5G 기반의 메타버스 모션 동기화 시스템의 설계 및 실험 (The Design and experiment of 5G-based metaverse motion synchronization system)

  • In this paper, we design and experiment a 5G-based metaverse motion synchronization system with configuration of a mobile motion capture studio that has not been commercialized at home and abroad. As a result of the experiment, the average value of the latency test measurement using Wi-Fi is 0.134 seconds faster than the average latency test measurement value using the 5G network. Existing motion capture studios have spatial limitations as the motion capture range is limited to the Wi-Fi communication range. However, the 5G-based metaverse motion synchronization system configures a mobile motion capture studio so that motion performers can solve the spatial limitations by expanding the motion capture communication range indefinitely regardless of time and place. Therefore, it is possible to implement realistic metaverse contents by displaying a realistic and natural digital human because it is free from spatial constraints. The system which was tested in this paper can create a new business model by converging next-generation technologies that are receiving attention related to the digital virtual world, such as motion capture + 5G + digital human twin + metaverse. And it allows for research and develop a next-generation metaverse-based broadcasting solution at a recent time when the business value of digital human and metaverse technologies and functions has been proven and related sales are growing in earnest.

오픈소스 기반의 농작물 유해 야생동물 퇴치 시스템의 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of Farm Pest Animals Repelling System Based on Open Source)

  • The damages on the crops by the wild animals such as wild boars and water deer are serious in rural areas these days. In this paper, a low-cost and adaptive system based on open source for sensing and repelling farm pest animals is proposed. The system contains the server which is Arduino Due connected with the wireless communication modules such as RF, Zigbee, and WiFi module, speaker, and so on. It also has the sensing modules and LED blinkers which communicates with the server by wireless modules. Once a detecting signal is transmitted to the server. The server is waked up from sleep mode and the repelling subsystems such as loud speaker and LED blinker(s) are activated to scare the unwanted animal away. The total system is managed by Android smartphone easily.

  • This paper presents proposal for an application (only for Windows-based Mobile) that can synchronize the Third Generation Windows-based mobile with the prescribed server. This application can be used by mobile users to send information directly to the WAS server wirelessly. In this paper a comparison between Third Generation technology and WLAN ( both are parallel technologies first one embodied by IMT-2000 standards and the second one by ITU Standards) has been made and also a comparison between Wi-Fi and Bluetooth has been made.

Low-Delay, Low-Power, and Real-Time Audio Remote Transmission System over Wi-Fi

  • Audiovisual (AV) facilities such as TVs and signage are installed in various public places. However, audio cannot be used to prevent noise and interference from individuals, which results in a loss of concentration and understanding of AV content. To address this problem, a total technique for remotely listening to audio from audiovisual facilities with clean sound quality while maintaining video and lip-syncing through personal smart mobile devices is proposed in this paper. Through the experimental results, the proposed scheme has been verified to reduce system power consumption by 8% to 16% and provide real-time processing with a low latency of 120 ms. The system described in this paper will contribute to the activation of audio telehearing services as it is possible to provide audio remote services in various places, such as express buses, trains, wide-area and intercity buses, public waiting rooms, and various application services.

  • This paper presents a developing method of smart fingerprint recognition system. First, we design a hardware configuration circuit using a 32bit Risc CPU, a fingerprint sensor, a LCD, and a WiFi communication chip to realize the smart fingerprint recognition systems. It is necessary to develop a JNI (Java Native Interface) library and a device drive program of fingerprint sense to develop application program of fingerprint recognition system with Android platform. Thus second, we develop a device drive and a JNI program. And we also develop an application program of fingerprint recognition systems using developed JNI library. Finally test results are presented to illustrate the performance of the developed smart fingerprint recognition system.
