이 연구는 대학생들의 치아미백 선호도를 알아보고자 시행하였다. 대학생을 대상으로 치아미백에 대한 지식과 치아에 대한 만족도, 미의기준, 치아미백 선호도를 파악하고, 치아미백 선호도에 영향을 미치는 인자를 확인하였다. 일반적 질문, 치아미백 지식, 치아 만족도, 미의기준 및 치아미백 선호도 등, 총 28개 문항으로 이루어진 설문지를 이용하여, 2022년 6월 7일부터 10일까지 조사된 175부를 분석하였다. 분석을 위하여 기술통계, T검정, 분산분석, 회귀분석을 이용하였다. 연구 결과, 치아미백 지식은 5점 중 2.90점, 치아 만족도 2.97점, 미의기준 3.59점, 치아미백 선호도 3.28점이었다. 일반적 특성에 따른 치아미백 지식은 여성, 보건계열에서 높게 나타났고, 치아 만족도는 남성, 비보건계열, 성형시술을 받지 않은 군에서 높았다. 미의기준은 용돈이 많고, 성형시술 경험이 있는 군에서 높았다. 치아미백 선호도는 일반적 특성에 따른 차이가 없었다. 회귀분석 결과, 미의기준이 치아미백 선호도에 영향을 미치는 것(β=0.252)으로 나타났다.

Objective: This in vitro study aimed to evaluate the effects of different whitening toothpastes on a composite resin during at-home bleaching with 10% carbamide peroxide. Materials and Methods: Sixty samples (7 mm × 2 mm) were used for color and roughness analyses, while another 60 samples (3 mm × 2 mm) were utilized to assess microhardness. The factors analyzed included toothpaste, for which 5 options with varying active agents were tested (distilled water; conventional toothpaste; whitening toothpaste with abrasive agents; whitening toothpaste with abrasive and chemical agents; and whitening toothpaste with abrasive, chemical, and bleaching agents). Brushing and application of whitening gel were performed for 14 days. Surface microhardness (SMH), surface roughness (Ra), and color (ΔL^*, Δa^*, Δb, ΔE^*_ab, and ΔE₀₀) were analyzed. The Ra and SMH data were analyzed using mixed generalized linear models for repeated measures, while the color results were assessed using the Kruskal-Wallis and Dunn tests. Results: Between the initial and final time points, all groups demonstrated significant increases in Ra and reductions in SMH. No significant differences were found between groups for SMH at the final time point, at which all groups differed from the distilled water group. Conventional toothpaste exhibited the lowest Ra, while whitening toothpaste with abrasive agent had the highest value. No significant differences were observed in ΔL^*, Δa^*, and Δb. Conclusions: While toothpaste composition did not affect the color stability and microhardness of resin composite, combining toothbrushing with whitening toothpaste and at-home bleaching enhanced the change in Ra.

The Purpose of this study is to offer basic data for Whitening Cosmetics by investigating the Purchasing condition and Satisfaction in the Use of Whitening Cosmetics. The questionnaire was administered to 350 women in the Daejeon, Chungnam-do, Chungbuk-do and Daegu areas. The date was analysed by percentage, $X^2-test$ and frequency. The result of the survey can be summarized as follows: the importance of the development of functional cosmetics has increased, and among these it is possible to reaffirm the importance of whitening cosmetics. Furthermore, it can be seen that functional cosmetics are being used as a means of increasing opportunities for personal expression as a result of improved confidence and satisfaction.

The use of skin whitening agents have been recently increased in various kinds of cosmetic products, although there were reports that whitening agents might cause allergic contact dermatitis. A murine local lymph node assay (LLNA) has been developed as an alternative to guinea pigs for contact sensitization potential. This study was carried out to investigate the skin sensitization potential of three whitening agents, kojic acid, arbutin, azelaic acid, by LLNA using a non-radioistopic endpoint.(omitted)

In this study, we evaluated the anti-oxidative, whitening and anti-wrinkle effect of Tetrapanax papyriferum extract. Tetrapanax papyriferum was extracted by two different solvents which were n-Hexane, ethyl acetate. The anti-oxidant activity was measured by free radical scavenging activity using DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl radical). And the inhibitory activities of tyrosinase for whitening effect and collagenase, elastase for anti-wrinkle were investigated. For anti-oxidant activity, ethyl acetate fraction of Tetrapanax papyriferum extract showed more significant activity than n-Hexane fraction of Tetrapanax papyriferum extract. For whitening activity, n-Hexane fraction of Tetrapanax papyriferum extract exhibited strong inhibition effects compared with reference. Therefore, Tetrapanax papyriferum extract may be useful as a new antioxidant and whitening agent.

In the communications systems with diversity, we are commonly faced on needing of new source coding technique, error resilient coding. The error resilient coding addresses the coding algorithm that has the robustness to unreliability of communications channel. In recent years, many error resilient coding techniques were proposed such as data partitioning, resynchronization, error detection, concealment, reference picture selection and multiple description coding (MDC). In this paper, we proposed an MDC using whitening transform. The conventional MDC using correlating transform is need additional information to decode the image. But, if an image is transformed using the whitening transform, the additional information is not necessary to transform because the coefficients of whitening transform have uni-variance statistics.

본 논문에서는 서브밴드 백색화 필터를 이용한 새로운 부공간 잡음제거 방법을 제안하였다. 기존의 부공간 접근방법에서는 백색 잡음을 가정하거나, 유색 잡음에 대한 전처리로서 백색화 필터를 사용하였다. 백색화 필터를 서브밴드로 나누어 처리함으로써, 제안된 방법은 잔여잡음을 줄이면서 신호 왜곡의 상한값을 최소화하도록 설계하였다. 또한 서브밴드 백색화 필터를 도입함으로써 부공간 잡음제거 방법에서 약점으로 지적되는 것 중의 하나인 Karhunen-Loeve(KL) 영역에서의 주파수 해상도를 높일 수 있었다. 실험결과에 의하면 제안된 방법은 Ephraim에 의해 제안된 방법 부공간 잡음 제거 방법이나, Boll에 의해 제안된 주파수 차감법에 비해 구분 신호대 잡음 비 (SNRseg: segmental signal-to-noise ratio), 음성의 인지적 성능 평가 (PESQ: perceptual evaluation of speech quality)를 고려하였을 때 향상된 성능을 보였다.

We investigated the inhibitory effect of whitening materials with growth factor or alone on melanomas derived from Human (B-16) and mouse (SK-MEL-31) using melanin content. Melanin content was determined by the absorbance value at 470nm per cells. we used the growth factors known as activators of Adenylate cyclase, Protein kinase C and tyrosine kinase pathway separately. In addition, we compared the action of UV-induced with non-biological growth factor with whitening materials in melanomas derived from Human and mouse. The results showed that the aspect of inhibitory effect of whitening materials on B16 and SK-MEL-31 was not different. And, the action of each growth factor involved in the differentiation and proliferation of melanoma on the inhibition of melanogenesis in B-16 and SK-MEL-31 using whitening agents showed no difference. Also, The action of UV -induced and non-biological growth factors didn't exhibit different pattern on the effect of whitening agent in B-16 and SK-MEL-31.
