이에 본 연구에서는 Atmospheric Pressure Plasma(APP)를 이용 하여 Polydopamine-like film을 coating 하였다. 낮은 전압으로 coating 된 Polydopamine-like film 일수록 hydroxyl group peak($3400{\sim}3000cm^{-1}$)과 비교하여 Benzene ring peak($1600{\sim}1580cm^{-1}$ and $1510{\sim}500cm^{-1}$)이 흡수를 더 많이 하는 것을 확인 할 수 있다. 이러한 Polydopamine-like film으로 As, Cr, Mg, Cu 200ppm solution에 대한 filtration 능력을 확인 하였다. As, Cr, Cu, Mg
Terra Alba Wallpaper was manufactured by coating inorganic terra alba paint on white base paper, and the surface of the coated layers were microscopically observed. Eco Terra Alba used the functional wall paper in this study was prepared by mixing inorganic Terra Alba and calcium carbonate. Terra Alba showed particle shape. The concentration of inorganic components, pH, and the viscosity of the coating solution were 92.0%, 7.82, 1286 cPs, respectively. The bar coater whit No 3 wire resulted in the least thickness of wet coating layer and coating thickness such $22.5{\mu}m$ with covered all the surface. Bar coater with No. 12 wire leaded to $48.4{\mu}m$ thickness. The coating layers above $43{\mu}m$ thickness showed the cracks on the wall paper surface after coating.
Recently, consumption of magnesium alloys has increased especially in the 3C (computer, communication, camera) and automobile industries. The structural application of magnesium alloys has many advantages due to their low densities, high specific strength, excellent damping and anti-eletromagnetic properties, and easy recycling. However, practical application of these alloys has been limited to narrow uses of mild condition, because they are inferior in corrosion resistance and wear resistance due to their high chemical reactivity and low hardness. Various wet and dry processes are being used or are under development to enhance alloy surface properties. Various conversion coating and anodizing methods have been developed in a view of eco-friendly concept. The conventional technologies, such as diffusion coating, sol-gel coating, hydrothermal treatment, and organic coating, are expected to be newly applicable to magnesium alloys. Surface treatments for metallic luster or coloring are suggested using the control of the micro roughness. This report reviews the recent R&D trends and achievements in surface treatment technologies for magnesium alloys.
The corrosion behavior of Al-Fe coatings was studied in the wet-seal atmosphere of molten carbonate fuel cells (MCFC). Fe-8Al, Fe-16Al, Fe-25Al, Fe-36Al, and Fe-70Al (in at.%) specimens were tested in Li/K carbonate at $650^{\circ}C$ by a single cell test and an immersion test. In general, the corrosion resistance of the Al-Fe coatings was enhanced due to the formation of a protective $LiAlO_2$ layer. However, when the Al-Fe coatings didn't have sufficient content of aluminum enough for maintaining the protective layer, the corrosion resistance of the Al-Fe coatings was severely degraded by the growth of non-protective scales like $LiAlO_2$. The test results revealed that the aluminum contents in the coatings should be higher than 25 at.% in order to form and maintain the protective $LiAlO_2$ layers.
We fabricated (110) silicon hard master by using anisotropic wet etching for embossing. The etching chemical for the silicon wafer was a TMAH $25\%$ solution. The anisotropic wet etching produces a smooth sidewall surface and the surface roughness of the fabricated master is about 3 nm. After spin coating an organic-inorganic sol-gel hybrid material on a silicon substrate, we employed hot embossing technique operated at a low pressure and temperature to form patterns on the silicon substrate by using the fabricated master. We successfully fabricated the multi-mode planar optical waveguides showing low propagation loss of 0.4 dB/cm. The surface roughness of embossed patterns was uniform for more than 10 times of the embossing processes with a single hydrophobic surface treatment of the silicon hard master.
The phospholipid-based MPCE(2-Methacryloxyethyl Phosphoryl Chlorine) copolymer was mixed with wet polyurethane for coating of nylon fabrics. The substitution rate of water in coagulation bath with DMF was changed under control of the size of formed hydrophilic microporous cell enable to manufacture excellent breathable, anti-bacterial and moisture control fabrics. Biocompatible property, vapor permeability, hydrostatic pressure, moisture management and anti-bacterial property were investigated for treated nylon fabrics. In result, increased moisture transmission rates, decreased water resistance and outstanding moisture control property could be confirmed by enhanced hydrophilicity of wet-coated nylon fabric with MPCE copolymer.
Epoxy coated reinforcing steels (ECRs) were acquired from ten sources and coatings from each source were initially characterized in terms of defects, thickness, solvent extraction weight loss and hardness. Testing involved exposure in three aqueous solutions at elevated temperature (8$0^{\circ}C$) and in chloride-contaminated concrete slabs under outdoor exposure, It was found that the density and size of coating defects was the promary factor affecting ECR performance. The equivalent circuit analysis using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) data indicated that the impedance response for well-performing ECR specimens showed no signs of active degradation at the interface although diffusional processes similar to those noted for poorly performing bars occurred here. Experimental results also indicated a relationship between corrosion behavior and bar source. Weight loss upon solvent extraction correlated with impedance reduction from hot water exposure. Coating defects during most of the tests, especially in high pH solutions containing chloride ions. ECRs with excessive coating defects, either initially present or ones which developed in service, performed poorly in every test category regardless of source. Forms of coating failure were extensive rusting at defects, blistering, wet adhesion loss, cathodic delamination, underfilm corrosion and coating cracks. These occurred sequentially or concurrently, depending on the condition of the ECR and nature of the environment
Current coating practice requires the thickness of anti-corrosion organic coatings to be over $250{\mu}m$ for immersion parts of ships and offshore structures and the corrosion resistance of these coatings has been evaluated by destructive and qualitative analysis. Recently, Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy(EIS) method has been employed, as an alternative, to evaluate corrosion resistance of organic coatings. This method is characterized as being nondestructive, reproducible, and quantitative in evaluating aging of organic coatings. In this study, EIS method was adopted to quantitatively and effectively select the coating systems having optimized protective performance. Evaluations of several epoxy and epoxy/polyurethane coating systems typically used for ships and offshore structures were carried out in wet($50^{\circ}C$, $90^{\circ}C$) and dry(room temp.) environments to accelerate the degradation of the organic coatings. These results were compared with the conventional scribed(scratched) test results. The plausible prediction model for determining the remaining life-time of coating systems was also proposed based on variations of impedance data, FT-IR and $T_g$ measurements results.
