고전압 대전류용, Seal-off TVS(Triggered Vacuum Switch) 연구 (Study of Seal-off Triggered Vacuum Switch(TVS) for High Voltage and High Current)

  • The purpose of this experiment was to develope Triggered Vacuum Switch (TVS) for the high voltage and high current. The TVS has an array of rods of alternate polarity in which a fixed gap spacing is maintained between the rods. The cross section of each rod has trapezoidal shape. It consists of electrode, ceramic chamber, getter and trigger. Currently, triggered vacuum switch (TVS) with seal-off has been designed and fabricated at PAL. An experimentation and trigger devices for TVS were designed for testing characteristics of electricity. For making the prototype of TVS, it is developed of fabrication process and fined of electrode material. The fabrication of the TVS is a lot of process which have manufacturing of part, chemical clean, ceramic brazing and metal welding. The fabricated TVS is tested of leak for vacuum, hold-off voltage and conditioning of trigger system. The TVS has pinch-off after it is removed of gas in the TVS and activated of getter in degassing furnace. The prototype TVS tested about 20 kV, 75 kA, 83 ${\mu}s$ with 100 kJ capacitor bank and inductance 5 ${\mu}H$. This paper describes the results of tests and the characteristics of the switch.

Up-Set Coupler 이음철근의 인장특성에 대한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study of Tension Properties on New Developed Up-Set Coupler)

  • 구조물이 초고층화, 대형화 되어감에 따라 철근의 이음방법에 대한 필요성이 증대되고 있다. 현재 일반적으로 건설현장에서는 겹이음을 많이 사용하고 있으나 굵은 직경을 사용한 구조부재의 경우 겹이음 사용 시 피복두께 확보의 어려움으로 부착파괴 및 접합부의 복잡한 배근으로 인한 콘크리트 타설의 시공성 저하 등이 문제가 되고 있다. 또한 압접이음은 철근의 단부를 국부적으로 가열하여 접합하는 방식으로 압접 후 철근의 취약부분이 발생할 수 있으므로 시공현장에서의 철저한 품질관리가 요구되는 단점이 있다. 이러한 단점을 해결하고자 새로운 개념의 Up-set Coupler를 적용하였다. 본 연구에서는 기계적 이음방법 중 철근 선조립공법이나 고강도, 대직경의 철근을 사용하는 PSC구조물의 접합부에서 주로 사용되는 대표적인 이음방법인 Screw Coupler와 Up-set Coupler, 그리고 이음이 없는 철근을 사용하여 각각의 인장특성과 사용성을 실험적으로 연구하고자 한다.

Materials Integrity Analysis for Application of Hyper Duplex Stainless Steels to Korean Nuclear Power Plants

  • Hyper duplex stainless steels have been developed in Korea for the purpose of application to the seawater system of Korean nuclear power plants. This system supplies seawater to cooling water heat exchanger tubes, related pipes and chlorine injection system. In normal operation, seawater is supplied to heat exchanger through the exit of circulating water pump headers, and the heat exchanged sea water is extracted to the discharge pipes in circulating water system connected to the circulating water discharge lines. The high flow velocity of some part of seawater system in nuclear power plants accelerates damages of components. Therefore, high strength and high corrosion resistant steels need to be applied for this environment. Hyper duplex stainless steel (27Cr-7.0Ni-2.5Mo-3.2W-0.35N) has been newly developed in Korea and is being improved for applying to nuclear power plants. In this study, the physical & mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of newly developed materials are quantitatively evaluated in comparative to commercial stainless steels in other countries. The properties of weld & HAZ (heat affected zone) are analyzed and the best compositions are suggested. The optimum conditions in welding process are derived for ensuring the volume fraction of ferrite(${\alpha}$) and austenite(${\gamma}$) in HAZ and controlling weld cracks. For applying these materials to the seawater heat exchanger, CCT and CPT in weldments are measured. As a result of all experiments, it was found that the newly developed hyper duplex stainless steel WREMBA has higher corrosion resistance and mechanical properties than those of super austenitic stainless steels including welded area. It is expected to be a promising material for seawater systems of Korean nuclear power plants.

A New Steel Jacketing Method for Concrete Cylinders and Comparison of the Results with a Constitutive Model

  • This paper introduces a new steel jacketing method for reinforced concrete columns with lap splice and evaluates its performance by a series of axial tests of concrete cylinders. At first, 45 concrete cylinders were fabricated with varying the design compressive strengths of 21, 27 and 35 MPa and, then, the part of them was jacketed with two-split-steel jackets under lateral confining pressure. The parameters in the first test were the steel jacket's thickness and the existence of adhesive between steel and concrete surface. In the second test, whole steel jackets were used to wrap cylinders with lateral pressure. Also, a double-layer jacket consisted of two steel plates was introduced; a cylinder was jacketed by two steel plates one after another. The effect of the new method was verified through comparing the results of the compressive tests for plain and jacketed cylinders. The steel jacket built following the new method showed good results of increasing the compressive strength and ductility of the jacketed cylinders with respect to the plain cylinders. The thicker steel jackets showed the more increased compressive strength, and the ductility at failure depended on the welding quality on steel jackets. The adhesive between steel and concrete surface reduced the confining effect of the steel jackets. The whole jacket showed more ductile behavior than the two-split jackets. The double-layered jackets were estimated to possess an equal performance to that of a single steel jacket having the same thickness of the double-layered jacket. Finally, the experimental results were compared with the constitutive model of steel-jacketed concrete; which showed a good agreement between the experimental results and the models.

자동차 부품 카시트 프레임 검사를 위한 머신비전 개발 (Development of a machine vision system for automotive part car seat frame inspection)

  • 본 논문에서는 생산 현장에서 작업자가 육안으로 하고 있는 자동차 부품 카시트 프레임의 전수(全數) 검사를 위한 머신 비전 시스템의 개발에 관한 연구를 다룬다. 이러한 제안된 머신비전 검사시스템은 생산 현장에서 날로 증가하는 품질 향상에 대한 요구와 수요를 충족시키기 위해 설계되었다. 이 컴퓨터 기반의 검사시스템은 실시간으로 제품의 다양한 결함들에 대한 품질 검사를 할 수 있도록 설계되었다. 본 연구의 검사방법에 사용된 소프트웨어는 NI-LabVIEW가 사용하였으며, LabVIEW Vision 이미지 함수를 사용하여 검사 프로그램을 개발하였다. 개발된 검사 알고리즘은 생산 부품의 실시간 검사에 적용 될 수 있으며, 검사 영역과 설정 값을 비전 시스템 운용자가 설정할 수있도록 프로그램이 만들어져 검증되었다. 제안된 검사시스템은 카시트 프레임 검사를 성공적으로 수행하였다.

대직경 스터드 전단연결재의 피로거동 (Fatigue Behavior of Large Stud Shear Connectors)

  • 스터드 전단연결재는 강합성 구조에서 가장 많이 사용되는 전단연결재인데 현재는 주로 22mm 직경까지를 사용하고있다. 시방규정에서 제시하고 있는 적용범위의 확대를 위해서 25mm 이상의 대직경 스터드 전단연결재에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 현재의 전단연결재 설계 범위를 넘어서는 대직경 스터드 전단연결에 대한 push-out 실험을 통해서 피로거동을 검토하고 기존 설계식과의 비교를 수행하였다. 25, 27, 30mm 직경의 스터드에 대한 전단실험을 통해서 탄성영역에서의 전단강성을 평가하여 정적 실험결과와 비교하였다. 피로 하중을 받는 대직경 스터드의 피로거동을 잔류 슬립과 하중-슬립 곡선으로 설명하였다. 용접부 피로균열의 발생시점을 변위진폭으로부터 유추하는 것이 타당한 것으로 밝혀졌다. 기존 시방규정의 S-N 곡선과의 비교를 통해서 대직경 스터드 전단연결재의 피로 수명은 현재의 설계 규정을 준용해도 무방한 것으로 나타났다.

그라우팅이 필요 없는 RC기둥 강판보강 기법 (Steel Jacketing Method without Grouting for RC Columns)

  • 본 연구에서는 주철근의 겹침이음으로 인해 효과적인 내진성능을 충분히 확보하지 못한 RC기둥 보강 기법의 개발을 위해 횡방향외부압력을 도입한 강판으로 RC기둥을 보강하는 기법을 제시하였다. 제시된 기법의 성능 검증을 위해 설계강도를 변수로 하여 콘크리트 공시체 45개를 제작하여 외부압력을 도입하여 강자켓으로 보강하였다. 본 연구에서 소개하는 강자켓팅 기법은 기존의 방법과 달리 강판과 콘크리트 사이에 그라우팅이 필요 없는 기법이다. 보강된 시편과 무보강 시편의 압축실험을 수행하여 각각의 결과를 비교, 분석하였 다. 본 연구를 통해 횡방향 외부압력을 도입한 강판보강은 콘크리트 시편의 강도 및 연성도 증가에 매우효과적인 것으로 나타났고 설계강도가 낮은 시편에서 강도증가현상이 두드러지게 나타났다. 두꺼운 강판은 더 큰 강도 증진효과가 있었다. 본 연구에서는 제시한 보강기법은 RC기둥에 적용하여 강도 및 연성도을 증진시키는 효과가 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Cu-Si계 삽입금속을 사용한 페라이트계 스테인리스강의 아크 브레이징에서 인장성질에 미치는 입열량의 영향 (Effect of the Heat Input on the Tensile Properties in Arc Brazing of Ferritic Stainless Steel using Cu-Si Insert Alloy)

  • The effects of heat input and different microstructureswere investigated on the tensile-shear properties of an arc-brazed joint of theferritic stainless steel 429EM using a Cu-Si insert alloy. The brazing speed was fixed at 800 mm/min whilethe brazing current varied from 80 to 120A. For abrazing current lower than 100A, fracturing occurred at the joint root in the direction perpendicular to the tensile load. As the brazing current increased to 120A, fracturing occurred at the base metal or the joint root. The joint and the base metal had very similar yield and tensile load values. However, the amount of elongation was decreased considerably compared to when the base metal was used. The fracturing began at the triple point of the root part and was classified into three types. The difference in the tensile-shear properties was closely related to the three fracture types.

저항 점 용접된 TRIP590강의 계면파단특성에 관한 평가 (Evaluation of Resistance Spot Weld Interfacial Fractures in Tensile-Shear Tests of TRIP 590 Steels)

  • The resistance spot welding of TRIP590 steels was investigated to enhance understanding of weld fracture during tensile-shear strength (TSS) test. The main failure modes for spot welds of TRIP590 steels were nugget pullout and interfacial fracture. The peak load to cause a weld interfacial failure was found to be related to fracture toughness of the weld and the weld diameter. Although interfacial fracture occurred in the samples, the load carrying capacity of the weld was high and not significantly affected by the fracture mode. Substantial part of the weld exhibits the characteristic dimple (or elongated dimple) fractures on interfacial fractured surface, in spite of the high hardness values associated with the martensite microstructures. The high load-bearing ability of the weld is directly associated with the area of ductile fracture occurred in weld. Therefore, the judgment of the quality of resistance spot welds in TRIP590 steels, the load carrying capacity of the weld should be considered as an important factor than fracture mode.

  • This study investigated fabrics, washing and cares, design, pattern, subsidiary materials, and sewing methods with a focus on the functional outers using moisture-permeable waterproof fabric as a shell; in addition, each element was analyzed for differences depending on fabric type. The characteristics of 34 outers were investigated through labels, online product introductions, visual inspection, observations from two experts with more than 30 years experience and wear tests. Moisture-permeable waterproof fabrics used for the outer were classified into two types; in addition, the shell of the high-density fabric and the 2 & 3-layer fabrics had different characteristics. Various fabrics, detailed designs, and three-dimensional patterns suitable for each part of the human body were used to improve functionality. In addition, various subsidiary materials and sewing methods were used to form an organic relationship. The same washing and cares, patterns and subsidiary materials were used regardless of fabric type; however, the fabric type influenced the detailed design and sewing. The outers with high-density fabric had a loose fit, short placket, e-banded cuffs, lock-stitch, and lock-stitch+binding. However, the outer with 2 & 3 layer fabric had a slim fit, hood width adjustment, zippered pockets, cuffs with tab, seamless adhesive sewing such as laminating, lock-stitch+ seam-sealing, and welding.
