상부 해양 요소 접합부의 피로 평가 (Fatigue Behavior of Offshore Topside Structure)

  • Large-scale model tests of welded topside joints were carried out to observe the fatigue behavior of API 2W Gr.50 steel produced by POSCO. The fatigue crack behaviors for various loading conditions were measured and investigated around the critical joint sections. The experimental results have been verified with numerical approaches and also compared with the AWS D1.1 and DnV RP-C203 design curves. The large-scale experiment models were fabricated, based on the actual operating east area fixed platform. The dimensions of the models were slightly modified to accommodate the test facilities and capacities. The fatigue test was carried out having ${\Delta}Q$ of T1=705.6kN, T2=749.7kN and T3=793.8kN. The three specimens were statically loaded 20 times, with various loadings of about 50kN intervalsbetween the maximum and minimum loads required in the fatigue tests. This loading removed the residual stress in the specimen before the fatigue tests. The topside joint crack was initiated from the brace heel, where the maximum tensile stress occurred. The API 2W Gr.50 steel satisfied the AWS D1.1 detail category C and DnV RP-C203 detail category F ${\Delta}S-N$ curve.

  • During laser spot welding of the braun tube electron gun, phenomena such as serious spattering and oxidative reaction, etc. were occurred. The spatter occurred from weld pool affects the braun tube, namely it blocks up a very small hole on the shadow mask and causes short circuit between two roles of the electron gun. We guessed that high power density and oxidative reaction are main sources of these problems. So, we studied to prevent and to reduce spatter occurring in spot welding of the braun tube electron gun using pulsed Nd:YAG laser. The characteristics of laser output power was estimated, and the loss of laser energy by optical parameter and spatter was measured by powermeter. The effects of welding parameters, laser defocused distance and incident angle, were investigated on the shape and penetration depth of the laser welded bead in flare and flange joints. From these results, the laser peak power was a major factor to control penetration depth and to occur spatter. It was found that the losses of laser energy by optic parameter and sticked spatter affect seriously laser weldability of thin sheets. The deepest penetration depth is gotten on focal position, and a "bead transition" occurred with a slight displacement of focal position relative to the workpiece surface and the absorption rate of the laser energy is affected by the shape factor of the workpiece. When we changed the incident angle of laser beam, the penetration depth was decreased a little with increasing of the incident angle, and the bead width was increased. The spattering was prevented by considering laser beam energy and incident angle.ent angle.

대형기둥 적용을 위한 철근콘크리트기둥-강재보 접합부의 내진성능 (Seismic Performance of RC Column-Steel Beam Connections for Large Columns)

  • 대형기둥의 제작성과 시공성을 고려한 철근콘크리트기둥-강재보 접합부의 상세를 제안하였으며, 이를 적용한 접합부의 내진성능을 연구하였다. 접합부의 보강을 위하여, 교차보, 스터드, U형 타이 등의 상세를 고려하였다. 내진성능의 평가를 위해, 2/3 스케일의 대형내부접합부에 대하여 반복가력실험을 수행하였다. 실험체들은 층간변위비 4.0%를 넘는 우수한 변형능력을 발휘하였으며, 보의 항복과 접합부의 항복이 동시에 발생하였다. 최종적으로는, 접합부의 전단파괴로 하중이 감소하였다. 실험강도는 기존 설계모델과 비교되었다.

  • 항공기 등에 사용되는 Flexible PTO(Power Take-Off) 샤프트는 스프링 특성을 좋게 하기 위해 여러장의 얇은 멤브레인을 용접한 형태로 1950년대에 이미 개발됐으며, AMAD(Aircraft Mounted Accessory Drive) 기어박스와 EMAD(Engine Mounted Accessary Drive) 기어박스 사이에서 회전동력을 전달한다. 이런 종류의 샤프트는 가볍고 특히 스프링 특성이 좋기 때문에 축 정렬이 틀어진 고속회전 상태에서도 안정적으로 회전동력을 전달할 수 있어 대부분의 전투기에 사용된다. 이번 연구에서 티타늄 합금으로 개발된 Flexible PTO 샤프트의 구조해석을 통해 제품의 안전성을 확인하였고, 실제 실험실에서 진행된 고속회전 시험에서 굽힘과 비틀림 부하를 동시에 인가하여 샤프트의 고주기 피로에 대한 내성을 실증하였다. 또한, 고주기 피로 시험 조건에서 항공기용 볼 조인트의 마모 특성 분석을 통해 수명을 예측하였다.

TIG용접한 저방사화 페라이트강(JLF-1)의 고온강도 및 피로수명특성 (High Fatigue Life and Tensile Strength Characteristics of Low Activation Ferritic Steel(JLE-1) by TIG Welding)

  • JLF-1 steel (Fe-9Cr-2W-V-Ta), low activation ferritic steel, is one of the promising candidate materials fer fusion reactor applications. High temperature fatigue life and tensile strength of JLF-1 steel and its TIG welded joints were investigated at the room temperature and $400^{\circ}C$. The strength of base metal (JLF-1) is in between those of weld metal and the HAZ. When the test temperature was increased from room temperature to $400^{\circ}C$, both strength and ductility decreased for base metal, weld metal and the HAZ. The longitudinal specimens of base metal showed similar strength and ductility compared with those of the transverse specimens at room temperature and $400^{\circ}C$. Little anisotropy was observed in the JLF-1 steel base metal in terms of rolling direction. Fatigue limit of weld metal which was obtained from cross-weld specimen is 495MPa. Thus, the weld metal showed the higher fatigue limit than those of base metal at both room temperature and $400^{\circ}C$. Little anisotropy of fatigue properties was observed for JLF-1 base metal in terms of rolling direction. When the test temperature was increased from room temperature to $400^{\circ}C$, the fatigue limit of both base metal and weld metal decreased substantially.

철근콘크리트 기둥 및 철골보로 구성된 복합구조의 접합분 거동에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on the Behavior of Hybrid Beam-Column Joints Consisted of Reinforced Concrete Column and Steel Beam)

  • 본 연구에서는 철근콘크리트 기둥과 철골보로 구성된 혼합 골조구조의 접합부에 대한 구조적 특성을 평가하였다. 주요변수로는 본 연구에서 제안한 자주식(子株式) 횡보강근 상세와 기존의 RCS 공법에서 사용되고 있는 ㄱ-4조각 조합형 및 용접형 등의 횡보강근 상세를 대상으로 하였다. 실험체는 총 5개의 내부접합부를 대상으로 2/3 축소로 제작하여 접합부의 전단 및 내진성능을 평가하였다. 실험의 결과, 모든 실험체에서 최대내력 이후 강도 및 강성의 큰 저하없이 실험이 종료되었다. 따라서, 자주식(子株式) 횡보강근을 사용한 RCS 접합부의 구조성능은 4조각 조합형 및 용접형 등의 기존 공법과 동등 이상의 구조적 성능을 확보하는 것으로 나타나 외부 판넬의 전단기여도는 압축스트러트에 의해 평가하는 것이 보다 적절할 것으로 판단된다.

EH40과 API2W강재의 극 후판재 다층 FCAW 버트 접합부 잔류응력해석 (Numerical Analysis of Welding Residual Stresses for Ultra-thick Plate of EH40 TM and API 2W Gr.50 Steel Joined by Flux Core Arc Welding)

  • Some structural members of large-scale marine vessels such as large-scale offshore structures and very large container ships are assembled by very thick plates of which thickness exceeds 60mm. Also, high-tensile steels have been selected to meet the required structural strength and fatigue strength. Generally, multi-pass welding method such as FCA(Flux-Core Arc) welding has been used to join the thick plates. Considering the welding residual stresses, fatigue strength of the welded joints of thick plates should be assured since the residual stress influences the fatigue strength. This paper presents a numerical procedure to investigate the residual stress of structure joined by multi-pass FCA welding so that it can be incorporated into the fatigue strength assessment considering the effect of welding residual stress. The residual stress distribution is also measured by X-Ray diffraction method. The residual stress obtained by the computational model also has been compared with that of experiment. The results of FEA are in very good agreement with the experimental measurements.

이종 알루미늄 합금 A6K31/A5J32 겹치기 마찰교반 접합부의 인장성질에 미치는 접합조건의 영향 (The effects of Welding Conditions on Tensile Properties of Friction Stir Lap Welded of Dissimilar Al Alloy, A6K31/A5J32)

  • The scope of this investigation is to evaluate the effect of joining parameters on the microstructural features and mechanical properties of dissimilar aluminum alloys, 1mm-thickness fixing AA6K31 at the top position and fixing AA5J32 at the bottom position. The friction stir lap welds were studied under various welding conditions, rotation speed of 1000, 1250, 1500rpm and welding speed of 100, 300, 500, 700mm/min, respectively. Mechanical test has been investigated in terms of tensile shear test and hardness test. The results showed that three type nugget shapes such as onion ring, zigzag type, hooking with the void, have been observed with revolutionary pitch. All welding conditions fractured at the HAZ of top plate, A6K31 and also the strength compare with base metal of lap joints were low efficiency, 52~63%. The thickness of fractured position was decreased with the lower heat input conditions. The relationships were excellent due to linear between the effective thickness of fractured position and peak load. The fractured position was the interface between joint area and not joint area. Also the strength efficiency compared with base metal was lower than decreasing rate of thickness because the hardness was decreased at fractured position due to softened material.

고속철도 제륜자 결함분석 및 제륜자 개발 (Failure Mode Analysis and Friction Material Development of the KTX tread Brake)

  • 고속철도 KTX 차량의 답면제동은 전기제동이 작용하지 않는 저속에서 열차를 정거장의 정위치에 정차시킬 때 주로 사용되는데 그 동안 균열발생, 제륜자 키 탈락 등 잦은 고장이 발생하였다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 고장의 원인을 규명하고 각 고장에 대해 해결책을 제시하고 시험평가를 통하여 개선효과를 검증하였다. 제륜자 키와 캠의 강도향상과 제륜자 마찰재 지지판의 강도향상은 제륜자 마찰재의 균열발생을 약간 줄이는 효과는 있었다. 지지판의 강도향상, 구조개선과 함께 제륜자의 재질을 변경하였을 때 마찰재에는 균열이 거의 발생되지 않았다.

두께가 다른 이종배관 용접부 면삭 각도 변화에 따른 하중지지능력 평가 (Load Bearing Capacity of Welded Joints between Dissimilar Pipelines with Unequal Wall Thickness)

  • 두께가 다른 이종강도 배관 용접부에서 인장, 내압 및 굽힘응력에 대한 하중지지능력을 평가하였다. 1.22, 1.54 및 1.89의 두께비를 갖는 API X65-API X80, API X42-API X65 및 API X42-API X80 배관 용접부를 유한요소해석을 통하여 하중지지능력을 평가하였다. 이종강도 배관의 두께비가 1.5 이하에서 인장강도와 최대모멘트는 면삭각도 변화에 큰 영향을 받지 않으나 두께비가 1.5 이상에서는 큰 영향을 받는다. 저강도 배관의 길이방향 면삭각도와 두께비 변화에 따라서는 내압에 의한 파열압력은 영향을 받지 않는다.
