Background : The measuring instruments for customer satisfaction in hospitals are often composed of some dimensions reflecting the conceptive complexity of them. Then, overall satisfaction would be expected to be equal the 'weighted' sum of scores by dimensions because the importance rated by customers may be different across the dimensions. But the issue of how to weight the dimensions with importance is not yet solved. We examined 3 sets of weighting methods as to make effect on predictive power against overall satisfaction. Methods : We conducted a survey included 483 subjects who had visited or admitted to a university hospital, using the short form questionnaire being developed by The Korean Society of Quality Assurance in Health Care for out-patient and in-patient. By using a multiple linear regression model, we compared among changes of explanatory powers against overall satisfaction as dependent variable after weighting 4 dimensions of the survey questionnaire as independent variables with importance scores of dimensions perceived by consumers. And we compared the feasibility of each weighting, methods by checking missing cases. Results : There were no weighting methods increasing the explanatory power after applying them. The method of absolute scoring was found higher explanatory-power than others, but this finding had no statistical significance. Regarding the number of missing value, method of absolutely scoring had the least cases. Conclusion : Our findings suggested that weighting the dimensions with importance might have little significance in the cases of scales having items highly correlated, such as consumers' satisfaction. Though asking with items to be answered absolutely, customers might be rating relatively in some degree and this method produced least missing cases. Considering these points, in the cases when weighting the dimensions with importance would be required, we suggest that weighting method by absolute scoring might be better than others.
In this paper, we propose a hybrid method which is mixed with frame selection and weighting model rank method, based on GMM(gaussian mixture model), for real-time text-independent speaker recognition system. In the system, maximum likelihood estimation was used for GMM parameter optimization, and maximum likelihood was used for recognition basically Proposed hybrid method has two steps. First, likelihood score was calculated with speaker models and test data at frame level, and the difference is calculated between the biggest likelihood value and second. And then, the frame is selected if the difference is bigger than threshold. The second, instead of calculated likelihood, weighting value is used for calculating total score at each selected frame. Cepstrum coefficient and regressive coefficient were used as feature parameters, and the database for test and training consists of several data which are collected at different time, and data for experience are selected randomly In experiments, we applied each method to baseline system, and tested. In speaker recognition experiments, proposed hybrid method has an average of 4% higher recognition accuracy than frame selection method and 1% higher than W method, implying the effectiveness of it.

Geo-layer information is important to determine pile length and estimate residual settlement in the construction site. An overall spatial distribution of geo-layers in the entire construction site can be predicted using drill-log information. In this study, the geo-layer distribution at Song-do area was estimated by kriging and inverse distance weighting methods, and a cross validation was adopted to verify the reliability of estimation results. The analysis results indicate that the best fitted theoretical variogram model to the experimental variogram does not always provide the most reliable estimation in the kriging method. The proper $\alpha$ value of inverse distance weighting method must be determined by types of geo-layer, because the $\alpha$ value is affected by types of geo-layer. Results of the kriging method show more reliable results than those of inverse distance weighting method, and the structure of geo-layer distribution could be evaluated by variogram in the kriging method.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors influencing consumers' selection of web-toon service through AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) analysis and to provide the strategy of web-toon service. To accomplish this study, theories, existing research and references related to AHP were sufficiently examined and selected the factors in the selection criteria. Surveys from consumers who used the web-toon service were conducted with selected factors. Through this, the results were analyzed by AHP analysis to find out the weighting values and the differences were examined and analyzed. The highest weighting factor in the first layer that consists of web-toon service was cinematic quality. The cinematic quality was the most important factor in the selection criteria of customers who use the web-toon service regardless of their preferred genre. Furthermore, it was confirmed that the weighting value or ranking changed in the second layer by genre. In this study, the effective basis of strategy were suggested by ranking the quantitative selection factors according to the preferred genre of consumers using web-toon services. In addition, This research provides some practical implications. That is, the web-toon service provider can easily recognize and respond to the customer's requirements, which factors are important when the customer selects a specific genre from the web-toon genre.

Generally speaking, agriculture exist in a climatic environment of uncertainty. Namely, normal rainfall value, as given by the mean values, does not exist. Thought on exists, itl does not affect like extreme Precipitation value on the part of agriculture and of others. Therefore, it is important that we measure the duration and severity index of drought caused by extreme precipitation deficit. In this purpose, this study was dealt with the calculation of drought duration and severity indexs by the method of monthly weighting coefficient. There is no quantitive definition of drought that is universally acceptable. Most of the criteria was used to identify drought have been arbitrary because a drought is a 'non-event' as opposed to a distinct event such as a flood. Therefore, confusion arises when an attempt is made to define the drought phenomenon, the calculation of duration, drought index is based on the following four fundamental question, and this study was dealt with the answers of these four questions as they related to this analytical method, as follows. First, the primary interest in this study is to be the lack of precipitation as it relates to agricultural effective rainfall. Second, the time interval was used to be month in this analysis. Third, Drought event, distinguished analytically from other event, is noted by monthly weighting coefficient method based on monthly rainfall data. Fin-ally, the seven regions used in this study have continually affected by drought on account of their rainfall deficit. The result from this method was very similar to the previous papers studied by many workers. Therefore, I think that this method is very available in Korea to identify the duration of drought, the deficit of precipitation and severity index of drought, But according to the climate of Korea exist the Asia Monsoon zone. The monthly weighting coefficient is modify a little, Because get out of 0.1-0.4 occasionally.

In GIS-based Spatial Decision-making Support System (SDSS), the Boolean logic by conventional simple overlay method contains two problems. One is losing lots of information in analysis process, the other is unable to reflect of weighting values between evaluated items. Therefore, evaluation system as Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) needs to improve these problems effectively. The purpose of this study is to provide the benefit of AHP method and GIS spatial analysis in site analysis for crop cultivation. First, the weighting value of AHP for topography, distribution grade of water, property of soil and slope items are evaluated throughout survey to experts of soil, crop and agricultural management fields. On the basis of these weighting value of AHP by items, site suitability analysis for black raspberry cultivation is performed. To estimate the benefit of AHP method, the current cultivating map of black raspberry is constructed in Ssangchi-myeon district. In comparison with site analysis of Boolean logic, site analysis of AHP method shows more realistic.
This study aims to analyze the sensitivity of WSM(weighted scenario method)-AHP method according to variation of nonlinear exponent for accessibility criteria, which are used to make urbanization potential maps with the optimal weighting value for multiple criteria in grid-based GIS technique. Besides this study tried to develop WSM-AHP2 which is simplified by using rank of the potential value for each scenario. The two methods were applied to the test area, Suwon city located south area of Seoul, with time series land-use maps of 1986 and 1996. The evaluation system of urbanization potential have 7 criteria including 6 accessibility criteria. The results of WSM-AHP2, the optimal weighting values and their corresponding potential maps, have almost similar with those of WSM-AHP. In the application of CA(cellular automata) model for expansion of urbanized area using the three potential maps by WSM-AHP, WSM-AHP2, and specialists's AHP evaluation, it also showed that the accuracy of simulation for actual urban area is the highest in the potential map of WSM-AHP, followed by WSM-AHP2 and specialists's AHP evaluation. From the results of this study, WSM-AHP and simplified WSM-AHP2 will be used to generate the optimal potential maps for land-use planning in urban fringe area.
In this study, it provides the diagnostic index for the rural landscape formation. For the development of diagnostic index, this study first analyzed documents and papers on the landscape formation. Landscape types are also classified by their function and then landscape index was developed by AHP method. Classification system was categorized as three steps: 2 items for 1st step, 10 items for 2nd step, and 20 items(criteria) for 3rd step. In the survey of weighting values with AHP method, the analysis result for the first step showed that rural village landscape is more important than landscape around the village by approximately 20%. In the second step, residence is rated as the most important, followed by village tree planting, and then farmland around the rural villages, greenery, and water environment. In the third step, the feng shui is rated as the most important, followed by tree planting, village forest, culture, and history. While vehicle maintenance, village alleys and pedestrian facilities are rated lower. In index of the around the village, weighting value for index of the farm land and skyline has the highest value. While species richness, water quality and water resources were rated relatively low. In the future, the rural landscapes diagnosis index will be applied to measure the level of the rural villages landscapes and it is expected to propose political support for the landscapes formation.

Case-based reasoning is emerging as a leading methodology for the application of artificial intelligence. CBR is a reasoning methodology that exploits similar experienced solutions, in the form of past cases, to solve new problems. Hybrid model achieves some convergence of the wide proliferation of credit evaluation modeling. As a result, Hybrid model showed that proposed methodology classify more accurately than any of techniques individually do. It is confirmed that proposed methodology predicts significantly better than individual techniques and the other combining methodologies. The objective of the proposed approach is to determines a set of weighting values that can best formalize the match between the input case and the previously stored cases and integrates fuzzy sit concepts into the case indexing and retrieval process. The GA is used to search for the best set of weighting values that are able to promote the association consistency among the cases. The fitness value in this study is defined as the number of old cases whose solutions match the input cases solution. In order to obtain the fitness value, many procedures have to be executed beforehand. Also this study tries to transform financial values into category ones using fuzzy logic approach fur performance of credit evaluation. Fuzzy set theory allows numerical features to be converted into fuzzy terms to simplify the matching process, and allows greater flexibility in the retrieval of candidate cases. Our proposed model is to apply an intelligent system for bankruptcy prediction.
This paper proposes a lossless image compression method based on arithmetic coding using block-adaptive Context Tree Weighting. The CTW method predicts and compresses the input data bit by bit. Also, it can achieve a desirable coding distribution for tree sources with an unknown model and unknown parameters. This paper suggests the method to enhance the compression rate about image data, especially aerial and satellite images that require lossless compression. The value of aerial and satellite images is significant. Also, the size of their images is huger than common images. But, existed methods have difficulties to compress these data. For these reasons, this paper shows the experiment to prove a higher compression rate when using the CTW method with divided images than when using the same method with non-divided images. The experimental results indicate that the proposed method is more effective when compressing the divided images.
