The Correlation of Foot Pressure with Spinal Alignment in Static Standing (정적 기립 자세에서 족저압 분포와 척추 정렬과의 상관관계 연구)

  • Purpose: To determine the normative data for the correlation of spinal, pelvic parameters with foot pressure in the young subjects. Methods: The subjects of this study were 39 patients in healthy adults. The Formetric-III was used to measure of spinal alignment. The pedoscan was used to measure of foot pressure. The correlation of trunk imbalance, trunk inclination, lateral deviation with foot pressure. The foot pressure measurement was consisted of maximal/mean pressure, weight contribution. Result: There was a negative correlation of trunk inclination with Max_R. There was a negative correlation of trunk inclination with Max_R. There was a positive correlation of trunk imbalance with Max_L. There was a positive correlation of lumbar lordosis with Mean_R_front, Lt. posterior weight distribution. There was a negative correlation of lumbar lordosis with Lt., Rt. in distribution There was a negative correlation of pelvic tilt with Mean_R_front, Lt. posterior weight distribution. There was a positive correlation of pelvic tilting with Rt. weight distribution, Lt. posterior weight distribution. There was a negative correlation of pelvic torsion with Lt. weight distribution, Rt. posterior weight distribution. There was a negative correlation of pelvic rotation with Lt. weight distribution, Lt. posterior weight distribution. Conclusion: The data obtained from the study may be used for future studies related to correlation of the spinal, pelvic deviation with foot pressure.

Determination of Molecular Weight and Molecular Weight Distribution of Polypropylene Using Rheological Properties (유변학적 물성을 이용한 폴리프로필렌의 분자량과 분자량 분포를 결정하는 방법)

  • The rheological measurement of polypropylene (PP) has been performed using a rheometer, an intrinsic viscometer, and an MI machine to predict the molecular weight and the molecular weight distribution. Also, GPC has been used for the determination of the molecular structure. The distribution broadness parameter using modified Carreau model has been used to make the correlation between the rheological parameter and the molecular structure instead of the rheological PI (polydispersity index) which is determined from the cross of modulus from the dynamic oscillatory measurement. Even though the rheological PI is useful to determine the molecular weight distribution of the PP using controlled rheology, which has narrow and uniform molecular weight distribution, but not suitable to determine the molecular weight distribution of the PP made from direct polymerization which has broad and various molecular weight distribution. However the distribution broadness parameter which determined from the index of the shear thinning of the PP melt well predicts the molecular weight distribution of PP.

Comparison of the Difference of Weight-bearing Distribution Between Subjects With Low Back Pain and Healthy Subjects (요통 환자와 정상인의 양하지 체중지지 차이 비교)

  • The purpose of this study was to compare the differences of weight-bearing distribution between subjects with low back pain and healthy subjects. Fifty-one subjects (22 men, 29 women; mean age = 42.9 years) with low back pain and 31 healthy subjects (11 men, 20 women; mean age = 35.4 years) were evaluated. The weight-bearing distribution was measured by two commercial scales during comfortable standing. The difference of weight-bearing distribution between right and left side was calculated for each subject. The differences of weight-bearing distribution in subjects with low back pain and healthy subjects were 6.0 kg and 4.5 kg, respectively. However, there were no significant differences in the weight-bearing distribution between subjects with low back pain and healthy subjects.

  • From time to time the light weight distribution has been discussed, It play an important part in the preliminary design state because of its influence on the available deadweight. Up to the past, the Light weight distribution acting on the ship has been estimated graphically by means of integraph or approximately by the simplified calculations. Recent development has made it possible to use Lloyd's coffin method or Robb's coffin method for Bulk Carrier, Tanker, Cargo ship where the hull weight is distributed based upon the $C_B$ The hull weight distribution is then super-composed by number of fixed weights(i.e. machinery , equipment, etc.) The authors built up the method by which the Light weight distribution is calculated using a computer. In the usual calculations, the higher accuracy is aimed at, the longer time would be taken, therefore the accuracy would not be so good as to be expected if the time is restricted. The method using a computer can dissolve these and calculated accurately in shorter time the Light weight distribution with less data.

A Comparative Study between the Effects of Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation Stretching and Passive Stretching on Weight Distribution and Flexibility for Trunk Flexion (고유수용성 신경근 촉진법 신장기법과 정적 신장기법이 몸통 굽힘의 유연성과 체중분포에 미치는 효과 비교연구)

  • Purpose: The purpose of the present study was to compare the effects of proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) and static stretching on weight distribution and flexibility for trunk flexion. Method: Sixty participants who had no musculoskeletal disorders were recruited from a local university within six months of this study. The participants were randomly assigned to a PNF stretching group (N=30) and a static stretching group (N=32). For the pre-and post-measurement design, the left-right weight distribution, anterior-posterior weight distribution, and finger-to-floor distance (FFD) were measured before and after the stretching interventions. Result: The FFD results were significantly improved after the interventions, regardless of the group differentiation (p<0.05). The PNF stretching intervention significantly increased the differences between anterior and posterior weight distribution compared to the static stretching group (p<0.05). Conclusions: Both the PNF and static stretching interventions could improve flexibility for trunk flexion mobility. Although the PNF intervention improved the weight distribution in the anterior-posterior direction, further research is required to investigate the various PNF interventions on left-and-right and anterior-posterior weight distribution.

Effects of Biofeedback Postural Control Training on Weight distribution rate and Functional Ability in Stroke

  • This study examined the effects of biofeedback postural control training on the weight distribution rate and functional ability of subjects with stroke. A total of 30 stroke patients were enrolled in this study. Subjects were divided into a biofeedback postural training group (experimental group, n=15) and a dynamic balance training group (control group, n=15). Experimental subjects received biofeedback postural training and control subjects received dynamic balance training for 30 minutes per day, 5 times per week over a 6 week period. Weight distribution rate and functional ability were measured to identify the effect of the biofeedback postural training. Significant difference in weight distribution rate was observed in the experimental group, compared with the control group (p=0.05), and a significant difference in functional ability. The results of this study provide evidence in support of incorporating a biofeedback postural training for the improvement of weight distribution rate and functional ability of stroke patients.

  • Background : The purpose of this study was to compare the effects of functional electrical stimulation(FES) on weight distribution and synchronization of the lower extremity of patients with post-stroke. Methods : They were randomly divided into two groups, 8 people in the experimental group and 7 people in the control group. A total of 15 subjects volunteered to participate in this study. experimental groups were treatment FES training on parallel bars and control groups were FES training on chair. They was performed for 15 minute, three times in a week, for the 6 weeks. Result : The experimental group The weight distribution A, B, C, D and synchronization AB, CD, AD, BC indicating changes in statistical significance(p<.05). However, the control group only showed significantly increased weight distribution A, C(p<.05). In a variation, experimental and control groups showed significantly increased weight distribution A, B, C and synchronization AD. Conclusion : These findings suggest that the FES training on parallel bars are effective in improving the weight distribution and synchronization of lower extremity of patients with post-stroke. Further study will be continued in this method of therapeutic exercise and additional physical therapy program.

  • Bicycle fittings have been used to ride bicycles comfortably while minimizing non-traumatic injuries. To analyze the cause of non-traumatic injuries, it is necessary to measure the body weight distribution in various biking positions. In this study, a weight distribution measurement system was implemented by installing five weighable devices on the saddle, both pedals, and both handle grips of a bicycle. To measure the body weight applied through the saddle, the structure of a commercial seat post was modified and a load cell was installed inside. Weighable pedals and handle grips were designed using a 3D modeling program and fabricated by employing a 3D printer. The body weight distribution for ten bicycle riders was measured when the two pedals were aligned horizontally and vertically. Experimental results showed that the body weight distribution varied significantly depending on human body shape, even after the bicycle fitting was completed. The difference between the body weight measured by the proposed system and a commercial scale was less than 3 %.

  • An extensive research programme has been aimed at the effct of ship weight distribution on the ship responses applying ship hydroelasticity theory. In the previous works, consistent tendencies of the still-water and the wave bending moments. respectively, were found as the weight distribution was varied systematically. The paper is therefore concerned mainly with any correlation between still-water and wave bending moments with the variations of weight distribution. Although these bending moments share different features with each other, such a comparison of tendencies was plausible and informative. These and other matters for the future are discussed.

Molecular Weight Distribution of Rosin Modified Phenol Resin Used in Media for Printing Varnishes. (인쇄잉크용 로진변성 페놀수지의 분자량 분포에 관한 연구)

  • Modified phenolics can have a retarding effect on the gelation of wood oil. Modified phenolic resins can be used in media for paint, varnishes, primers, overprinting varnishes, litho, letterpress and rotogravure inks. Varnishes based on rosin phenolic are faster drying, have better durability, are harder and glosser, and have greater resistance to water than ones based on ester gums. These physical properties is concerned with molecular weight distribution of rosin modified phenol resin. This paper was studied about molecular weight distribution of rosin phenolics which were prepared between $130~250^{\circ}C$. The results were as follows: 1) Average molecular weights inereased with increasing reaction temperature. 2) $M_w/M_n$ were from 3.43 to 46.44 with increasing reaction temperature and so the molecular weight distributions were changed from random distribution to broad distribution. 3) The relation ship between intrinsic viscosity and weight average molecular weight was follows: $[{\;}{\;}]={\;}1{\times}{\;}10^{-6}M_w,{\;}M_w=M_w$ 4) Esterification reaction between the acid group of rosin and polyol was started about $230^{\circ}C$$.
