고장데이터를 이용한 대용량 전력설비 통계적 수명분석 (Statistical Lifetime Analysis for Large Electric Power Equipments using Failure Data)

  • In this study, the characteristic lifetime of power facilities such as power transformers and GIS were investigated as the basis of power facility asset management. It is difficult to obtain the operation and failure data of the facilities in Korea. Therefore, the number of failures of the electric power facilities was calculated from the operation data and hazard rate shown in the overseas literatures, and the statistical analysis was performed using the Weibull distribution function. As a result of extracting and analyzing the data of the UK National Grid for power transformers, the characteristic lifetime (scale parameter) of 116.45 years was considered to be a very appropriate value for power transformer management and can be used as a comparative data of the analysis of the domestic transformers. As for the GIS, based on the Bays and Bay-Years data and the hazard rate according to the operation years of the 123kV GIS in Germany, it is found out that the characteristic lifetime of GIS is not so meaningful. It is necessary to decide a maintenance strategy and lifetime expectancy considering the characteristics of the design, materials and manufacturing process of GIS.

  • A wind speed forecast is a crucial and sophisticated task in a wind farm for planning turbines and corresponds to an estimate of the expected production of one or more wind turbines in the near future. By production is often meant available power for wind farm considered (with units KW or MW depending on both the wind speed and direction. Such forecasts can also be expressed in terms of energy, by integrating power production over each time interval. In this study, we technically focused on mathematical modeling of wind speed and direction forecast based on locally data set gathered from Aghdasiyeh station in Tehran. The methodology is set on using most common techniques derived from literature review. Hence we applied the most sophisticated forecasting methods to embed seasonality, trend, and irregular pattern for wind speed as an angular variables. Through this research, we carried out the most common techniques such as the Box and Jenkins family, VARMA, the component method, the Weibull function and the Fourier series. Finally, the best fit for each forecasting method validated statistically based on white noise properties and the final comparisons using residual standard errors and mean absolute deviation from real data.

高分子 物質의 表面에너지 增加에 對한 새로운 理論. 高分子 物質의 코로나 放電處理가 알루미늄과의 接着强度에 주는 影響 (Effect of Corona Treatment of Polymers on Bonds to Aluminum)

  • PE, PP 및 PVC를 corona 放電으로 處理한 後 알루미늄과 接着을 시키면 接着强度가 크게 向上된다. 그러나 corona 放電으로 처리한 PE와 PP를 $80^{\circ}C$로 調節한 乾燥器에 넣고, PVC는 $50^{\circ}C$로 調節한 乾燥器에 넣어 15分間 放置하면 corona 放電處理만 했을 때 보다 接着力이 ${\frac{1}{2}}$밖에 되지 않는다. 따라서 高分子物質을 corona 放電處理 했을 때 接着强度의 增加는 高分子物質의 酸化에 依한 것이라고만은 볼 수 없다. 接着强度의 심한 振幅은 Weibull 分布函數를 이용하여 檢討하였다. 이 硏究에서는 corona 放電으로 처리한 高分子物質을 알루미늄과 接着시켰을 때 그 强度의 增加는 高分子物質의 表面에 執着된 electret의 影響이 크다는 것을 나타내었다.

열충격이 작용하는 취성구조의 신뢰성 평가 (Reliability evaluation of brittle structures under thermal shocks)

  • An analysis method for the reliability of ceramic structures subjected to thermal shocks is presented. Flaws with the size of given probability distribution function are assumed to be distributed at random with a certain density per unit volume in the structures. Criterions for crack instability are derived for brittle solids under general thermal stresses. A probabilistic failure model is presented to study the probability of crack instability for brittle solids containing cracks with uncertain size. The reliabilities of brittle structures are evaluated based on the weakest-link hypothesis, which states that a structure fails when the cracks in any differential volume become unstable. A numerical example is given to demonstrate the application of the proposed method.

  • 계단충격가속수명시험에서 얻은 자료를 토대로 통계적 추론을 위해 가정하는 수명분포에 대한 적합도 검정을 Kolmogorov-Smirnov, Cramer-von Mises, Anderson-Darling과 같은 비모수적 검정통계량들을 이용한 검정절차를 제안하고, 각 통계량들을 검정력 측면에서 비교하고자 한다.

  • 고장원인이 여럿인 수리불가능한 제품에 대하여 사용환경에서 얻어진 고장데이터와 추적조사에 의해 얻어진 설명변수에 관한 데이터를 이용하여 제품의 고장원인별 수명분포를 추정한 배도선 등(1995)의 연구를 수리가능한 제품의 경우로 확장하였다. 수명분포의 모수와 설명변수가 대수선형 관계일 때 비동질성 포아송과정을 이용하여 의사우도함수를 유도하고, 고장원인별 수명이 와이블 분포를 따를 때의 의사 최우추정량과 점근분산을 구하였다. 추적조사 방법으로는 보증기간동안 고장이 발생하지 않은 제품의 일정비율을 추적조사하는 경우와 총 시험제품의 일정비율을 랜덤하게 선택하고 이들 중에서 보증기간동안 한번도 고장이 발생하지 않은 제품에 대해서만 추적조사하는 경우를 고려하였다.

Effect of Specimen Thickness on the Statistical Properties of Fatigue Crack Growth Resistance in BS4360 Steel

  • In this paper the effect of specimen thickness on fatigue crack growth with the spatial distribution of material properties is presented. Basically, the material resistance to fatigue crack growth is treated as a spatial stochastic process, which varies randomly on the crack surface. The theoretical autocorrelation functions of fatigue crack growth resistance with specimen thickness are discussed for several correlation lengths. Constant ${\Delta}K$ fatigue crack growth tests were also performed on CT type specimens with three different thicknesses of BS 4360 steel. Applying the proposed stochastic model and statistical analysis procedure, the experimental data were analyzed for different specimen thicknesses for determining the autocorrelation functions and probability distributions of the fatigue crack growth resistance.

  • A new method of parameter determination in the fatigue residual strength degradation model is proposed. The new method and minimization technique is compared experimentally to account for the effect of tension-compression fatigue loading of spheroidal graphite cast iron and graphite/epoxy laminate. It is shown that the correlation between the experimental results and the theoretical prediction on the fatigue life and residual strength distribution using the proposed method is very reasonable. Therefore, the proposed method is more adjustable in the determination of the parameter than minimization technique for the prediction of the fatigue characteristics.

  • Degradation diagnosis of XLPE insulated URD cables was accomplished through out new method. which was to be analyzed non-electrical experiments and synthesized by degradation points. To supplement this method, it was also carried out using several electrical analyses. Breakdown voltages were measured and breakdown lifetimes were Predicted appling for Weibull distribution function. As a result, breakdown lifetime in failure cables was shorted up to 1/3 times than that in general cables. It was very available to estimate cable degradation using above method, but it needs further study on XLPE insulated URD cables in order to improve reliability.
