  • 유역 수문학에 있어서 하도망의 지형학적 특성을 하천유출해석에 적용시키는 방법을 지형학적 순간단위도를 이용해서 검토하였다. 유역의 지형학적 특성은 Shreve link분류법과 Kirkby가 제안한 거리함수를 이용하여 정량적으로 표현 하였다. 거리함수는 해석적으로 유도된 확률모델로서 Weibull분포를 사용하였으며, 분석대상유역에 대한 거리함수의 확률모델과 하도망으 구조적 특성 및 기타 지형인자등을 분석하였다.

섬유-Matrix의 계면전단강도에 관한 통계적고찰 (Statistical Analysis of Interfacial Shear Strength on Fiber-Matrix)

  • The effect of fiber diameter and gauge length on pull-out test for the interfacial properties in fiber reinforced resin composites have been investigated and these results have been arranged as statistical analysis. The fiber and matrix resins used for this study were stainless steel fiber (SUS316) and carbon fiber (high strength type), epoxy and high density polyethylene resin. From this study, it has been found that shear strength are constant regardless of gauge length of pull-out test and coefficient of variation depend on fiber diameter. In addition, it has been found that the interfacial shear strength decreased with the increasing fiber diameter, and in all case, Weibull parameter (m) has approximately 1.2/C.O.V.

냉간단조 베벨기어의 굽힘피로강도 평가 (An Evaluation of Bending Fatigue Strength for Cold Forged Bevel Gear)

  • Gears are the most commonly used parts in automotive and industrial applications. One of most common modes of gear failures is tooth breakage, which is usually produced by the bending fatigue failure. It is important to manufacture the gears which can withstand the applied stresses in view of safety and economic requirement. This paper deals with bending fatigue strength for cold forged bevel gear. Especially, to compare fatigue characteristics for manufacturing processes difference, bending fatigue tests of bevel gears made by three different processes respectively. Results indicate that the fatigue strength of bevel gear is improved by cold forging process. Intergranular fracture is found on fatigue fracture surface, and dimples are observed on final fracture surface. The fatigue failure cannot be considered as a deterministic quantity, but must be characterized statistically. This study proposes a method to estimate bending fatigue lift of the bevel gear using the probability-load-life and Weibull analysis.

내마모 전동체 제조를 위한 질화탄소코팅의 개발 (Development of Carbon Nitride Coating for High Wear Resistant Rolling Element)

  • Carbon nitride coatings on the substrates of 0.55wt% C - 1.68wt% Mn induction-hardened rolling elements were prepared by ion beam assisted deposition. It was found through metallographic observation that the carbon nitride coatings appeared lamellar-type repeated layers parallel to the surface of substrate. Surface roughness of the coated specimens was improved in comparison with that of the substrates. Wear resistance of the coatings was evaluated using Polymet RCF-1 machine with a constant supply of lubricant followed by Weibull statistical analysis and scanning electron microscopy. the results indicated failure due to old-age wear-out of the coatings was mainly caused by numerous micropits formed on the wear track during repeated rolling contact.

Bayesian MCMC를 이용한 저수량 점 빈도분석: II. 적용과 비교분석 (At-site Low Flow Frequency Analysis Using Bayesian MCMC: II. Application and Comparative Studies)

  • 본 연구에서는 Bayesian MCMC 방법과 2차 근사식을 이용한 최우추정(Maximum Likelihood Estimation, MLE)방법 방법을 이용하여 낙동강 유역의 본류지점인 낙동, 왜관, 고령교, 진동지점에 대한 점 빈도분석을 수행하고 그 결과로써 불확실성을 포함한 빈도곡선을 작성하였다. 통계적 실험을 통한 두 가지 추정방법의 분석을 위하여 먼저 자료의 길이가 100인 8개의 합성 유량자료 셋을 생성하여 비교 연구를 수행하였으며, 이를 자료길이 36인 실측 유량 자료의 추정결과와 비교하였다. Bayesian MCMC 방법에 의한 평균값과 2차 근사식을 이용한 취우추정방법에 의한 모드에서의 2모수 Weibull 분포의 모수 추정값은 비슷한 결과를 보였으나, 불확실성을 나타내는 하한값과 상한값의 차이는 Bayesian MCMC 방법이 2차 근사식을 이용한 취우추정방법보다 불확실성을 감소시켜 나타내는 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한 실측 유량자료를 이용한 결과, 2차 근사식을 이용한 취우추정방법의 경우 자료의 길이가 감소됨에 따라 불확실성의 범위가 합성유량자료를 사용한 경우에 비해 상대적으로 증가되지만, Bayesian MCMC 방법의 경우에는 자료의 길이에 대한 영향이 거의 없다는 결론을 얻을 수 있었다. 그러므로 저수량 빈도분석을 수행하기 위해 충분한 자료를 확보할 수 없는 국내의 상황을 감안할 때, 위와 같은 결론으로부터 Bayesian MCMC 방법이 불확실성을 표현하는데 있어서 2차 근사식을 이용한 최우추정방법에 비해 합리적일 수 있다는 결론을 얻을 수 있었다.

  • Spot welding is very important and useful technology in fabrication of an automobile body structure. Because fatigue strength of the spot welding point is however considerably lower than parent metal due to stress concentration at the nugget edge, accurate stress analysis and fatigue stength evaluation of spot welded lap joint are very important to valuate the reliability and durability of automobile body structure and to establish a criterion of long life fatigue design. Many invetigators have studied so far onsystematic fatigue strength evaluation with various methods. It is however necessary to verify their reliability and abailability for practical application to fatigue design of spot welded structure, Thus,in this study, fatigue strength evaluation methods of spot welded lap joint. which are the maximum principal stress method. the fracture and availability with the Weibull probability distribution. From the results, it was found that reliability and availability withe the Weibull probaility distribution. From the results, it was found that reliability and availability of the suggest fatigue strength estimation methods methods were higher than $\Delta$P-$N_f$ relation. However, among them , reliability of the maximum pricipal stress method was the highest.

  • In this study, the decision of dressing time for diamond wheel was analyzed by observing with acoustic emission signals and surface roughness, and also obtained the machining characteristics by weibull distribution plot for the values of bending strength. From the experimental study, it was possible to predict the time of re-dressing for the diamond grinding wheel with the analysis of acoustic emission signals and surface roughness values, and following conclusions were obtained. The root-mem-square values of acoustic emission signals were obtained low as the increased of table speed for different abrasive grain size. This is caused by the lack of grinding power which is not able to get rid of all real grinding mass of depth as the table speed is increased. The values of bending strength for ground $Si_3 N_4$ specimens were decreased for gain size of #400 than that of #60, but it was found that the surface roughness values for gain size of #60 were better than that of #400. As compared the shape parameter of weibull distribution plot for the values of bending strength, it was found that the reliability of bending strength for grain size of #60 increased than that of #400.

일정진폭하중하의 확률론적 피로균열전파거동 (Probabilistic Fatigue Crack Growth Behavior under Constant Amplitude Loads)

  • In this paper, an analysis of fatigue crack growth behavior from a statistical point of view has been carried out. Fatigue crack growth tests were conducted on sixteen pre-cracked compact tension (CT) specimens of the pressure vessel (SPV50) steel in controlled identical load and environmental conditions. The assessment of the statistical distribution of fatigue crack growth experimental data obtained from SPV50 steel was studied and also the correlation of the parameter C and m in the Paris-Erdogan law was discussed. The probability distribution function of fatigue crack growth life seems to follow the 3-parameter Weibull. The fatigue crack growth rate seems to follow the 3-parameter Weibull and the log-normal distribution. The coefficient of variation (COV) of fatigue crack growth life was observed to decrease as the crack grows. Fatigue crack growth rate data shows a normal distribution for both m and logC. A strong negative linear correlation exists between the coefficient C and the exponent m.

Two Factors Failure Model of Oil-Paper Insulation Aging under Electrical and Thermal Multistress

  • Converter transformers play important roles in high-voltage direct current transmission systems. This paper presents experimental and analysis results of the combined electrical and thermal aging of oil-impregnated paper at pulsating DC voltages. Breakdown voltages and time-to-breakdown of oil-paper specimens were measured by using short-time and constant-stress tests. The breakdown characteristics of combined electrical and thermal aging on insulation system were discussed. According to the relationship between failure time and aging temperature, the two-parameter Weibull model was improved. On the basis of the competing risk algorithm and the improved Weibull model, the two factors failure model was calculated. And the influence of temperature in the insulation system has been analyzed. This model performs better than the two-parameter Weibull model when both time and temperature are considered as variables in estimating the lifetime of oil-paper insulation.

  • We propose a software-reliability growth model incoporating the amount of uniform and Weibull testing efforts during the software testing phase in this paper. The time-dependent behavior of testing effort is described by uniform and Weibull curves. Assuming that the error detection rate to the amount of testing effort spent during the testing phase is proportional to the current error content, the model is formulated by a nonhomogeneous Poisson process. Using this model the method of data analysis for software reliability measurement is developed. The optimum release time is determined by considering how the initial reliability R(x|0) would be. The conditions are $R(x|0)>R_o$, $R_o>R(x|0)>R_o^d$ and $R(x|0)<R_o^d$ for uniform testing efforts. Ideal case is $R_o>R(x|0)>R_o^d$. Likewise, it is $R(x|0){\geq}R_o$, $R_o>R(x|0)>R_o^{\frac{1}{g}$ and $R(x\mid0)<R_o^{\frac{1}{g}}$ for Weibull testing efforts. Ideal case is $R_o>R(x|0)>R_o^{\frac{1}{g}}$.
