  • Electronic commerce has provided another access for consumers to purchase products, but some researches have pointed out that there are difficulties for companies to do business on web. For lack of trust, many people not prefer purchasing through virtual channels. Based on the literature review, this study aims at empirically testing the impact of website design on individual trust in internet firms. From statistic analysis, we will conclude that security, interaction, and navigation functionality will affect on-line trust.

  • The quality of the content of a website is the key point for a successful website. Users' satisfaction can be raised by providing distinguished, high quality information. This rises the loyalty of the users to the website. S&T information has different characteristics than others. Therefore, we need special set of indexes to evaluate the quality of S&T information. In this paper, we explain the design and analysis of a user survey for examine the users satisfaction on S&T information. We also show the strategy to raise users'satisfaction based on the survey results.

  • Recently, to draw the web users' attention and stay in the website for a long time to transmit information efficiently, the website designing is focused on providing emotional experience. Emotional experience is possible through the use of interactive storytelling and multimedia. Users immersion, pleasurable experience and synesthesia satisfaction is connected to the emotional experience due to the interaction operation and multimedia feedback. In this study, application of the parallax scrolling technique's possibility has been studied to induce the emotional experience of the web users that appeared in the technical development of the web. Realizing characteristics of the elements that effect emotional experience through web cases are studied and the possibility of effective emotional experience is proposed as using parallax scrolling technique on web.

  • An Effect of Website quality on Service Value and Customer Satisfaction in the Internet Banking Internet Banking is very popular in Korea these days. More than 25million are using Internet Banking. This study is to find Quality Factors for Internet Banking Services and relationship among Internet Banking Service Value, Customer Satisfaction and Reuse. In this study we found that Service Value is prior to Customer Satisfaction. And also, Service Value and Customer Satisfaction affect customers reuse respectively. This study also found that 7 factors compose Internet Banking Service Quality. They are Convenience Security, Informal ion Providing, Communication, Design, System Correcteness. Convenience, Informal ion Providing, Communication and Design affect Internet Banking Service Value. System, Correcteness and Convenience affect Customer Satisfaction. So we learened that Internet Banking Customers discriminate Service Value from Satisfaction.

A Study of the Improvement and Practical Use on the Website Measurement Scale (웹사이트 측정도구의 개발과 활용에 대한 연구)

  • The aim of this study is to suggest a new website measurement scale revised in accordance with the present tendency, and to test the practical use of it. The empirically current studies suggest the information, connectivity, practical function, lay - out, design, interlace, system, service as a website measurement scale. However. this study suggest a new website measurement scale including communication between internet users, platform for editing information. The test of a practical use about measurement scale progressed by a survey on computer access. A sample of 300 internet users answered the question based on a new website measurement scale. The result of this study shows that primary factors of the website measurement scale are information, user interface, website service, and communication. The influence of these factors on user's website preference changed as compared with the past. The result also shows that there is close correlation between information factor and communication factor. And the communication factor suggested on this study has effected in user's website satisfaction. Results imply that the idea of web2.0 is practically an important strategy for improving website satisfaction. And, because influence of primary factors on the website satisfaction has changed continually, strategic planning will have to be kept up.

  • Public institutions or libraries urgently prepare comprehensive measures to improve web accessibility of their websites as booting web dependability and web utilization of disabled people. The purpose of this study is to propose the design guidelines for improving web accessibility of disabled people. The study, first, analyzed various web accessibility requirements based on web standards, web accessibility guidelines, and the related researches and proposed a web accessibility checklist with 42 requirement. Next, the study evaluated 15 websites of public institutions such as government departments, association of disabled people, and public libraries using the checklist. Finally, the study revealed non-adherence requirements and suggested website design guidelines in terms of contents configuration, sound, colour, keyboard handling, mouse handling, access, image processing, text processing, and code processing.

Designing a Micro-Learning-Based Learning Environment and Its Impact on Website Designing Skills and Achievement Motivation Among Secondary School Students

  • The study aimed to elucidate how to design a learning environment on the premise of micro-learning (ML) and investigate its impact on website designing skills and achievement motivation among secondary school students. Adopting the experimental approach, data were collected through an achievement test, a product evaluation form, and a test to gauge motivation for achievement. The sample was divided into two experimental groups. Results revealed statistically significant differences at 0.05≥α between the mean scores of the two groups that experienced ML, irrespective of the two modes of presenting the video in the pre-test and post-test, as for the test of websites design skills, product evaluation form, and achievement motivation test. Besides, there have been statistically significant differences at 0.05≥α between the mean scores of the first experimental group that had exposure to ML using the split-video presentation style and the scores of the second experimental group that underwent ML using continuous video presentation style in the post cognitive test of website design and management skills in favor of the group that had segmented-video-presentation ML. Another salient finding is the nonexistence of significant differences at 0.05≥α between the mean scores of the first experimental group that underwent segmented-video-presentation ML and the grades of the second experimental group that received ML with continuous video presentation style in the post-application of the product scorecard of websites designing skills and the motivation test. In light of these salient findings, the study recommended using ML in teaching computer courses at different educational stages in Saudi Arabia, training computer and information technology teachers to harness ML in their teaching and using ML in designing courses at all levels of education.
