The Development of Website-based Food and Nutrition for Women (여성건강을 위한 식품영양관련 웹사이트 개발)

  • This study has two section, one is design and development of website, the other is evaluation of website quality. The website was designed to have three web contents, Nutrition education for women's health, Food information for women, and Menus for women's health. In nutrition education for women's health, women were divided by healthy women, pregnant and nursing women, and patients. In Food information for women, I offer food information for the purpose of inducing women to have food intake for healthy lives. In Menus for women's health, 299 menus were selected by preference evaluation and menu evaluation. The website was developed through this study. The main menu consists of 3 web contents of nutrition education for women's health, food information for women, menus for women's health and this site also contain Q & A. In the quality valuation process by a group of experts, all respondents highly esteemed the quality of the website used inthis study reward grading in higher than 3 points (in general).

  • Purpose: The primary objective of this study is to investigate the impact of website quality on impulse buying of the online retailer, which is mediated by positive emotion and moderated by personalized advertising. Research design, data and methodology: The present study used a survey methodology conducted on many user's smartphones. The sample in this study included 409 college students in Indonesia. Purposive sampling was used as the sampling technique. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires to many respondents through the Google Documents online survey. Results: The findings derived from the application of structural equation modelling for data analysis show that 1). Website quality affects impulse buying and positive emotion, and 2). The impact of website quality on impulse buying was mediated by positive emotion and moderated by personalized advertising. Conclusions: The findings presented in this study has significant theoretical implications that contribute to the existing concept on the relationship between website quality, positive emotion, personalized advertising and impulse buying. The findings of the research possess managerial implications. It can be used can as a reference in determining website quality and the appropriate personalized advertising that increases online impulse buying at online retailer In Indonesia.

  • This study aims to understanding the effects of culture on websites with emphasis on the website structure and navigation. The website is inherently‘cultural’because anyone around the world can access to website if he or she is equipped with appropriate equipment. For the importance of cultural role in website, various researches have been conducted to understand the relationship between culture and website. However they tended to focus mainly on phenomenal matters such as color, layout, icon etc. There have been not so many thorough attempts to causal relationships between website and‘thick culture’in depth. The study conducted cross-cultural usability testing of websites between Korea and America. At first, representative I-commerce websites of Korea and America were selected and they were analyzed by the selected frameworks such as layout, display type, element type, and the relationship with homepage and sub-page navigation. The results were used to construct typical prototypes of website for Korea and America for experiment. Two websites were used for cross-cultural usability testing though specially-developed remote testing. 20 users from each country participated in the usability testing. The result shows that Korean users peformed better usability testing for Korean style structure of website while American counterparts showed better performances in American style of websites. Other various significant findings were revealed.

  • Recently the importance of website becomes confident in realizing the long distance education (teleeducation) as web. The purpose of this research is evaluating the websites of cyber university and analyzes web usability and web accessibility and analyzes to suggest the good quality content and several personalized service. Also we tried to improve website quality and contribute the reliability of the long distance education with all these. For these we applied the of professor Hyung Nam Moon's SM-ABCDE website evaluation model and developed the check list suitable for cyber university and evaluated websites in the five views of Attraction, Business, Content, Design, Engineering. Totally Kyunghee Cyber University, Busan Digital University, Hanyang Cyber University is selected best in sequence. But every website doesn't keep the basic observation rule of the web accessibility.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify factors that influenced elementary school teachers in choosing websites that support science teaching and learning. The participants of this study were four elementary school teachers. The data was collected through semi-constructed and in-depth interview. The results of the research are as follows: First, the individual factors that influenced participants to choose a website were teacher's thinking about appropriate science teaching and learning methods and teacher's lack of ability to prepare science lessons. Second, the surroundings factors were the image of the teachers using the website, the formation of consensus, belonging to the peer teachers, and students' preferences and interests. Third, participants chose a website where they could provide ideas for science lessons that are not available in textbooks and instructional materials for all subjects, and see stories and tips related to teaching career. In addition, the website was selected according to whether the developer of science instructional materials was a teacher, whether the materials uploaded on the website were up-to-date, and whether the teachers can learn by themselves to prepare for the science class. Fourth, participants considered the design and interactivity of the website and chose a website that is easy to search for information. Finally, we suggested the implications for building the websites that support science teaching and learning.

  • As time gees by, the function and role of website become more important. Therefore, it is very critical to evaluate and improve continuously the website to the purpose. Many previous studies show that some website evaluation factors will influence the user satisfaction and revisit to the website. The website evaluation criteria from the previous studies related to the university library website evaluation were classified into five assessment criteria which are design, contents, user interface, reliability, and site management. In the results, some significant suggestions were found out. User satisfaction is seriously affected by user interface, and user's intention to revisit is influenced by contents and reliability, but there may not be a close connection between them. Besides, the evaluation method in this study may be applicable to the new website-improving approach of website administrators and researchers.

  • The purpose of this study is to propose new menu structure and terms to be used by Website design for utilization of academic library Website. The menu structure was analyzed, based on seven menu patterns of Website which is widely used, and terms were analyzed by the frequency appearing at the Website. According to the analyzed result, the menu structure used to more than two menu patterns and the terms appear variety. The profitable menu pattern appears 〈table〉 and 〈frame + table〉 menu structures and the terms needs to systematic re-classification and controlled presentation. It is expected that this study can help a designer to the development and implementation of efficient Website. It helps not only to solve the problem of menu structure and term selection for librarian, but get rid of confusion of library services for users.

Website Quality, E-satisfaction, and E-loyalty of Users Based on The Virtual Distribution Channel

  • Purpose: Technology induces the virtual distribution channel to exist, especially for booking a room online. This situation, indeed, provides an alternative for the customers to book based on their budget through digital platforms. One platform offering competitive prices is virtual hotel operators, such as Airbnb, OYO, RedDoorz, and Airy Rooms. Preferably, after using their platform, the user should be satisfied and loyal. Hence, this investigation aims to prove some associations. The first is between e-satisfaction and e-loyalty. The second is between website quality and e-satisfaction. The final is between website quality and e-loyalty. Research design, data, and methodology: This study is quantitatively designed with the sample of 350 users of the virtual hotel operator applications in Bandar Lampung: Airbnb, OYO, RedDoorz, and Airy, as the samples. Therefore, by denoting this sample size, the structural equation model based on covariance is utilized to examine the three hypotheses proposed. Also, to get the responses, this study uses a survey through a questionnaire. Result: This investigation demonstrates the positive relationship between e-satisfaction and e-loyalty. Additionally, website quality positively associates with e-satisfaction and e-loyalty. Conclusion: The virtual hotel operators must have the superiority on their website-based application to update the information based on the room availability and price, ensure online transaction safety, and facilitate its utilization to maintain long-term satisfaction and loyalty virtually.

Web-site Management and Utilization Strategies for Family Farm Businesses (농촌형 가정기업의 웹사이트 관리실태와 활성화를 위한 제언)

  • The farming type in Korea is predominantly a small farm managed by family members. This study mainly examines the current usage of the website of family farms as a management tool for small farm business and discusses the strategies for effective utilization of the website. A county that currently employs governmental project of information system was purposely selected. Among all the websites operated by small farm businesses in that county, websites of which purpose is introduction of the business, advertisement, or e-business were included for analysis; it yielded total seven websites, The study was conducted with two phases; on-line website analysis and interview with business owners. The websites were analyzed based on four categories; content, interface, design, and site management. With regard to the content of the websites, the lack of connection between domain names and product names was found. Moreover, the problem relevant to site management was shown as low utilization of bulletin boards and delayed upload of new information. However, design and interface were comparatively well presented. Business owners reported that the motivation to initiate the websites was mostly supports from the governmental project for the agricultural information system. The barriers to effective management of websites were found i) business owner's misinterpretation of business website with e-business ii) very limited opportunity for website management education in small farm business, and iii) lack of regional infrastructure for information system. Based on the findings, this study suggests as followed; i) construction of infrastructure should be preceded to make effective management for websites; ii) education for website management should include small business management strategies as well as computer skills, iii) the education should be provided in diverse ways considering subject's characteristics iv) small farm business owners should be informed that their websites could play a role only to provide information about the products and hand over the practical load for e-business to retailing web sites such as portal shopping mall; and v) wives' participation should be encouraged.
