A Study on the User's Evaluation for the Visual Types of Virtual Model House (가상모델하우스의 유형에 따른 사용자 평가에 관한 연구)

  • In Korea, the construction company has provided houses through apartment sales system. Residents have obtained a variety of information about their future house by visiting a sample house called "the model house" before they purchase home. Advanced technology such as web-based VOD or Virtual Model in recent years has gradually replaced those built environment. In 2009, the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs announced the restraint to the construction of sample houses. Instead, they highly recommended a Virtual Model House as an alternative solution. This study aimed to propose how to design the user-oriented virtual model house through the experiment and survey research. The 3D virtual model house of 85m$^2$ apartment was built and presented by two types (Type A: Bird's Eye View, Type B: Walk through View) on the web page. The subjects evaluated presence, spatial perception and cognition, and usability of each type after exploring them. The results are as follows. (1) The subjects' evaluation of presence showed Type B has more negative effects than Type A such as feeling dizzy or tired even if their values were not so high. (2) The subjects perceived and cognized both types of virtual model house more realistic for the expression of volume of space, the size of opening, and the arrangement of furniture than that of wall finishes and materials. (3) The usability of Type A was significantly higher than that of Type B.

The Effective Blog Search Algorithm based on the Structural Features in the Blogspace (블로그의 구조적 특성을 고려한 효율적인 블로그 검색 알고리즘)

  • Today, most web pages are being created in the blogspace or evolving into the blogspace. A blog entry (blog page) includes non-traditional features of Web pages, such as trackback links, bloggers' authority, tags, and comments. Thus, the traditional rank algorithms are not proper to evaluate blog entries because those algorithms do not consider the blog specific features. In this paper, a new algorithm called "Blog-Rank" is proposed. This algorithm ranks blog entries by calculating bloggers' reputation scores, trackback scores, and comment scores based on the features of the blog entries. This algorithm is also applied to searching for information related to the users' queries in the blogspace. The experiment shows that it finds the much more relevant information than the traditional ranking algorithms.

A Study on Tile Map Service of High Spatial Resolution Image Using Open Source GIS (Open Source GIS를 이용한 고해상도 영상의 Tile Map Service 시스템 구축에 관한 연구)

  • A Tile Map Service is a regular map service that has been enhanced to serve maps very quickly using a cache of static images. The map cache is a directory that contains image tiles of a map extent at specific scale levels. Returning a tile from the cache takes the server much less time than drawing the map image on demand. Use of a Tile Map Service can dramatically improve the time that clients take to display complex base-maps. Using Tile Map Services thus eliminate the need to trade quality for performance. This study provides a way to construct Tile Map Service System using Open Source GIS. We used GDAL(Geospatial Data Abstraction Library) which is one of the Open Source GIS Softwares to make Tile Map Image and OpenLayers to publish Web Page. Moreover, We conducted a performance test on Tile Map System and Dynamic Map System and evaluated the results of it. As a result, the proposed method makes it easier to construct high performance Tile Map Service using Open Source GIS without commercial products.

Factors Influencing Consumers' Actual Behavior based on Different Degree of Product Information (제품정보제공수준에 따른 소비자 행동)

  • E-commerce has been developing rapidly by enabling companies to sell their products or services online. However, adoption of an e-commerce website still faces lots of problems, such as changing consumer behaviors from purchasing in physical stores to purchasing online, privacy and risk, and so on. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of consumers' attitude on actual purchasing behavior based on the degree of product information. In this study, we designed two kinds of product web pages which show different degrees of product information. The first web page has adequate product information, and the second one has much less product information than the first one. We found that according to degree of product information, there is a difference among perceived usefulness, privacy, attitude and actual behavior. And we also reveal weight difference between the two kinds of webpages. Finally, we indicated that variables have impact effect on both mutual relations and preceding relationships.

  • As the rapid development of the Internet, the embedded images in HTML web pages nowadays become predominant. For its amazing function in describing the content and attracting attention, images become substantially important in web pages. All these images consist a considerable database. What's more, the semantic meanings of images are well presented by the surrounding text and links. But only a small minority of these images have precise assigned keyphrases. and manually assigning keyphrases to existing images is very laborious. Therefore it is highly desirable to automate the keyphrases extraction process. In this paper, we first introduce WWW image annotation methods, based on low level features, page tags, overall word frequency and local word frequency. Then we put forward our method of multi-cues integration image annotation. Also, show multi-cue image annotation method is more superior than other method through an experiment.

Attacks and Defenses for Vulnerability of Cross Site Scripting (크로스 사이트 스크립팅(XSS) 취약점에 대한 공격과 방어)

  • Cross Site Scripting enables hackers to steal other user's information (such as cookie, session etc.) or to do abnormal functions automatically using vulnerability of web application. This attack patterns of Cross Site Scripting(XSS) can be divided into two types. One is Reflect XSS which can be executed in one request for HTTP and its reply, and the other is Stored XSS which attacks those many victim users whoever access to the page which accepted the payload transmitted. To correspond to these XSS attacks, some measures have been suggested. They are data validation for user input, output validation during HTML encoding procedures, and removal of possible risk injection point to prevent from trying to insert malicious code into web application. In this paper, the methods and procedures for these two types are explained and a penetration testing is done. With these suggestions, the attack by XSS could be understood and prepared by its countermeasures.

  • This paper tries to find the implications applied to art institutions of Korea by analyzing what the content and consequences of services of the Cleveland Museum of Art provided after the Internet of Things adoption in the theoretical perspectives strengthening service marketing through the Internet of Things increases visits and participation in the museum. For analysis, journal articles, statistics, and government press releases, news articles, web pages, web page articles are collected. The results are first, the application of digital and social media is positive in visit to the museum and monetization. Second, the introduction of the Internet of Things will enhance the museum's 'Education', 'Accessibility', 'Communications' services, as well as significantly increase on and offline participation by activating experience. Third, technical support from related companies with the support of local government funds is essential to build the system. Consequently, in order to enable the participation of the spectators in the galleries it is proposed aggressive adoption of such digital technology in domestic barren market of Internet of Things.

  • The number of digital camera users is increasing rapidly and countless number of photos floats about on the internet especially through wide-spreading Cyworld and blogs. Though portraits cover a large percentage of those photos, because of the property rights, near entirety or such photos are unavailable for use by web-page producers, advertising companies, web-designers, and so on, who need a variety of portraits with differing expressions and characteristics. This study offers a search engine that incorporates image characteristics based on natural language index, which can provide a fast and reliable search result. It will create an opportunity for the digital photographers to mure easily sell their pictures and simultaneously provide the would-be users of the photos a better and easier way to find the pictures they are looking for. Once the search engine is realized, it will become possible to use not only the nouns as keywords and categories but also verbs in search of portraits revealing feelings, expressions, dressings, and other characteristics.

Web Site Keyword Selection Method by Considering Semantic Similarity Based on Word2Vec (Word2Vec 기반의 의미적 유사도를 고려한 웹사이트 키워드 선택 기법)

  • Extracting keywords representing documents is very important because it can be used for automated services such as document search, classification, recommendation system as well as quickly transmitting document information. However, when extracting keywords based on the frequency of words appearing in a web site documents and graph algorithms based on the co-occurrence of words, the problem of containing various words that are not related to the topic potentially in the web page structure, There is a difficulty in extracting the semantic keyword due to the limit of the performance of the Korean tokenizer. In this paper, we propose a method to select candidate keywords based on semantic similarity, and solve the problem that semantic keyword can not be extracted and the accuracy of Korean tokenizer analysis is poor. Finally, we use the technique of extracting final semantic keywords through filtering process to remove inconsistent keywords. Experimental results through real web pages of small business show that the performance of the proposed method is improved by 34.52% over the statistical similarity based keyword selection technique. Therefore, it is confirmed that the performance of extracting keywords from documents is improved by considering semantic similarity between words and removing inconsistent keywords.

  • The layout includes various functions not only arrangement, connection, division of information but also affordance and information recognition as the important element that determine the whole structure of information. Recently, the layout of web interface design was gradually changing from the concept of the original Z-layout to F-layout, whereas, it is being changed again into the split layout as the transform of Z-layout. However, there can be lack of grounds as to the reason of the change of layout. Therefore, it needs to study on how the functional difference between the F-layout and Z-layout affects user experience. In this study, we conduct the study on the effect of each layout type on the user experience focusing on the product description of web-page by user test. The user test have shown that the user has better feeling on the split layout based on the Z-layout than F-layout. The Z-layout also has more advantages on the formation of the favorable attitude of user in efficiency, accessibility and concentration. This result is consistent with the trend of web-design to change into the split layout based on the Z-layout and we provided the objective reasons for the effective web-design layout by user test.
