웹삐에로 : 웹 데이터베이스를 포함하는 멀티미디어 홈페이지 저작 시스템 (WebPierrot : Multimedia Homepage Authoring System Including Web Database)

  • 본 논문에서는 웹 프로그래밍 기술이 없이도 일반 사용자가 웹 데이터베이스 구축과 함께 멀티미디어 홈페이지를 작성하도록 해주는 시스템(웹삐에로) 개발을 기술한다. 본 시스템은 페이지 에디터, 웹 데이터베이스를 자동 구축해주는 데이터베이스 마법사와, 웹 데이터베이스의 생성 및 수정을 지원하는 데이터베이스 관리자로 구성되어 있다. 데이터베이스 마법사는 홈페이지 템플릿과 연동되는 데이터베이스를 자동으로 생성하고 로컬 사용자 영역에 서버를 자동적으로 구축하는 기능을 갖는다. 페이지 에디터는 DHTML(Dynamic Hypertext Markup Language) 컴포넌트를 기반으로 구현되었으며 멀티미디어 홈페이지를 대화형으로 쉽게 제작할 수 있게 한다. 데이터베이스 관리자는 웹 데이터베이스를 생성, 수정 및 유지 보수하는 기능을 제공한다. 본 시스템은 웹 데이터베이스 프로그래밍 기술이 없이도 웹 데이터베이스와 연동되는 홈페이지 작성을 쉽게 구축하도록 하는 특징을 갖는다.

  • The Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language (SMIL) is a declarative markup language based on the eXtensible Markup Language (XML) to define a set of markup tags for synchronizing the timing and positioning relationships between multimedia objects. SMIL makes authoring of TV-like multimedia presentations on the Web easier for applications such as electronic commerce. We present the design and implementation of a JAVA-based SMIL player, which processes different types of media objects using multiple threads. Moreover, its cache engine detects the media type and allocates the proper cache memory for the corresponding media object.

  • 웹 서비스를 기반으로 한 인터넷은 비약적으로 발전하고 있으며, 차세대 웹 표준화를 위한 노력이 전세계적으로 진행 중에 있다. 처음 개발된 당시 웹은 텍스트 기반의 구조에 맞추어 HTTP, HTML, URL이 제안되어 이를 통해 비동기적인 형태의 검색과 단순하고 단일한 방식의 표현 방식을 사용해 왔다. 그러나 최근 인터넷 상의 상당수의 데이터들은 보다 복잡해지고 구조화되어 가고 있으며 동기적인 멀티미디어 정보를 포함하는 등 새로운 구조 및 표현 방식을 요구하게 되었다. W3C의 사용자 인터페이스 도메인 중 멀티미디어 동기화 그룹에서 현재 표준화 작업중인 언어는 SMIL SMIL은 웹 상에서 멀티미디어 요소들이 잘 통합되어 어느 위치에서 얼마동안 표현되는지를 기술하는 XML-기반 언어이다. 본 논문에서는SMIL 관련 표준화 동향 및 주요 이슈들을 연구 분석하고 기술 개발 내용에 대하여 논의한다.

웹기반 인공호흡기 실무 멀티미디어 컨텐츠 학습이 간호학생의 지식과 임상수행능력에 미치는 효과 (Effects of Web-based Multimedia Contents for Mechanical Ventilator Practice on Knowledge and Clinical Competence of Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of web-based learning for ventilator practice on the knowledge and clinical competence of nursing students. Method: The research design was a non-equivalent control group pre-post non-synchronized design. Twenty five nursing students were collected for the experimental group from August 23 to November 26, 2004 and nineteen nursing students for the control group from August 22 to November 25, 2005. All subjects experienced clinical practices in an intensive care unit of a hospital in G city for 2 weeks. The web-based learning for ventilator practice was conducted in the experimental group only. The data were analyzed with t-test and ANCOVA using SPSS 10.1 program. Result: The 2 week web-based clinical practice learning significantly improved the knowledge scores for the experimental group, however, there was no significant differences in the score for the clinical competence between experimental and control group. Conclusion: These findings suggest that a self-directed web-based learning for ventilator practice of nursing students can facilitate the knowledge of care for a ventilated patient. Therefore, faculties should develop a variety of web-based multimedia content programs for clinical instruction based on clinical situation.

  • This Paper Presents an Internet-based Java self-learning educational system which consists of a management system named Java Web Player (JWP) and creative multimedia contents fer Java language. The JWP Is a Java application program free from security problems by the Java Web Start technologies that supports an Integrated learning environment including three Important learning Procedures: Java concept learning Process, Programming practice process and assessment process. This JWP enables the learners to achieve efficient and Interesting self-learning since the learning process is designed to enhance the multimedia capabilities on the basis of various educational technologies. On-line voice presentation and its related texts together with moving images are synchronized for efficiently conveying creative contents to learners. Furthermore, a simple and useful compiler is included in the JWP fur providing user-friendly language practice environment enabling such as coding, editing, executing and debugging Java source files on the Web. The assessment process with various items helps the learners not only to increase their academic capability but also to appreciate their current degree of understanding. Finally, simple multiple choices are given suddenly to the learners while they are studying through the JWP and the test results are displayed on the message box. The proposed system can be used for an efficient tool for learning system on the Web.

대학 간 통합 웹기반 중환자간호실습 콘텐츠 개발 및 적용 (Development of Web-based Multimedia Contents for the Critical Care Practice of Nursing Students through Inter-College Collaboration)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to develop Web-based multimedia contents for supporting student nurses' clinical practice on critical care, and to evaluate learners' responses. Methods: Based on the steps of Assessment, Design, Development, Implementation, & Evaluation(ADDIE) model, a total of 13 self-directed learning modules including live lectures and real video clips were developed through faculty collaboration of nine nursing colleges in Gwangju and Chonnam province. The finally developed multimedia contents were published on the Web of the learning management system at a local e-learning center. Results: The Web contents were evaluated after self-learning by 81 junior college nursing students who were encouraged to study it at their own pace during their two-week clinical practice at a medical or surgical intensive care unit of a university hospital and two hospitals. The knowledge (t = -27.66, p < .001) and self-evaluated clinical performance level(t = 7.54, p < .001) were significantly increased after learning of the Web contents and clinical practice, and satisfaction level that measured post-test only was 4.0 out of 5 point. Conclusion: The use of Web contents for critical care need to be extended as a complimentary material in a class room lecture or clinical practice of students to increase their self-learning ability and understandings of clinical knowledge and situation.

  • We describe a scheme for developing character-based interface within the context of an agent-based tutoring system in the Web environment. The ideas in this paper stem from original work representing aspects of human emotion in tutoring computer models, where may provide mote natural ways for students to communicate with digital learning materials. The proposed system model is a set of software services that enable developers to incorporate interactive animated characters into their Web pages designed for on-line lectures. The prototypical application is developed and shown for validating the applicability and the effectiveness of this model in real tutoring settings.

  • Most common web or application system architectures have central network. As a result, central network can be supervised and controlled in all situation. And It has the advantage of easy to manage and fast to work. However, central network have a disadvantage of weak to security and unclear. In particular, many institutions used by web system be has many problems by central network. In this paper, we proposed blokchain technology based on ethereum to resolve of problem and trading structure that arise in cental network. We propose a decentralized application based on points including cryptocurrency functions and smart contract to the advantages of blockchain with a decentralized structure. The results of the performance experiment are as follows; It has shown the advantages of reliable use and security in a variety of environments(Windows, Ubuntu, Mac).

A Study on Location-Based Services Based on Semantic Web

  • Location-based services are a recent concept that integrates a mobile device's location with other information in order to provide added value to a user. Although Location-based Services provide users with comfortable information, it is a complex task to manage and share heterogeneous and numerous data in decentralized environments. In this paper, we propose the Semantic LBS Model as one of the solution to resolve the problem. The Semantic LBS Model is a LBS middleware model that includes an ontology-based data model for LBS POI information and its processing mechanism based on Semantic Web technologies. Our model enables POI information to be described and retrieved over various domain-specific ontologies based on our proposed POIDL ontology. This mechanism provide rich expressiveness, interoperability, flexibility in describing and using information about POls, and it can enhance POI retrieval services.
