웹 서비스와 웹 프로세스(Web Processes)는 다양한 시스템 상에서 이종의 소프트웨어 컴포넌트들을 효과적으로 통합할 수 있는 기술이다. 웹 서비스의 활용이 증대함에 따라 성능(performance), 비용(cost) 등 005(Quality of Service)는 서비스 제공자들 간의 차별화를 위한 요건으로 그 중요성이 증가하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 웹 서비스 성능 분석 도구인 sPAC(Web Service Performance Analysis Center)을 소개하여, 웹 서비스 조합시 성능의 만족 여부를 미리 고려할 수 있음을 보인다. sPAC은 1) 그래픽 기반 웹 프로세스 구성 환경을 제공, 2) 경부하(light load) 조건에서의 성능 테스트를 위해 웹 서비스를 호출, 3) 웹 프로세스에 대한 시뮬레이션 모델을 자동 생성 하여, 과부하(heavy load) 조건에서 시뮬레이션 기반의 성능 분석 수행, 4) 웹 서비스의 성능 분석 결과와 평가 데이터의 보고서 생성을 제공한다.

Over the past few years, a number of studies have been made on web map services, which enable the GIS user to access spatial data through the web. They, however, have focused on only implementation techniques separately, such as map client implementation, map server implementation, communication between client and server, and the map data representation. Therefore, it is hard to share and practical use the spatial data, because they does not ensure interoperability in heterogeneous map servers. In this paper, we have designed and implemented the web map server with open architecture, which complies with the standard interfaces proposed by OpenGIS Consortium (OGC). In particular, we have extended the OGC’s interfaces for a map server to support one or more data sources. This paper has contributed to construction and practical use of web map services by newly proposing the method of implementation of a map server, which could be reused regardless of the types of data sources.

이기종의 분산시스템들을 통합하여 기업 환경에 적용할 수 있도록 여러 다양한 연구들과 시도들이 이루어지고 있다. 그러나 웹서비스가 갖는 특별한 구조 즉, 서비스 제공자, 서비스 요청자, 그리고 서비스 저장소의 세 역할을 갖기 때문에, 웹서비스 기술에 기존의 시스템 개발 방법론을 직접 적용하기는 어렵다. M4WSD(Method for Wes Services Development)는 웹서비스 개발 프로세스 모델로서, 요구사항 분석 단계에서 유도되는 유스케이스 모델을 기반으로 하는 웹 서비스 개발 절차 및 가이드라인을 포함하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 각 서비스를 구현하기 위하여 주요 구현 전략을 어떻게 결정하는지에 초점을 맞춘다. 본 논문에서 제시하는 평가 가이드라인은 구현 전략을 결정하는 문제를 구조화할 수 있도록 한다.

이 연구는 대학기록관에서 웹을 통해 제공되는 기록정보서비스의 중요성을 인식하고, 웹을 통해 제공할 수 있는 서비스의 범주와 내용을 파악하여, 평가모형을 개발하여 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 웹사이트가 있는 국내 대학기록관 몇 곳을 선정하여 웹 기록정보서비스를 평가한 후 평가결과를 분석하고 개선방향을 제시하였다. 대학기록관의 웹 기록정보서비스 평가 결과에서 분석된 내용을 바탕으로 제언된 개선방향은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대학기록관의 미션과 비전을 설정하고 제시해야 한다. 둘째, 소장기록의 목록과 기록컬렉션에 대한 소개를 상세히 제공해야 한다. 셋째, 상세검색, 재검색, 원문검색 기능 및 검색방법에 대한 도움말 정보를 제공해야 한다. 넷째, 온라인 전시를 구축하고 정기적으로 발행하는 뉴스레터를 제공해야 한다.

최근 웹 2.0의 등장과 함께 플랫폼으로의 웹이 강조되면서, SOAP 기반의 웹서비스에 비해 RESTful 웹서비스가 크게 증가하고 있다. 하지만 서비스들은 이미 많이 존재하며 빠르게 증가하기 때문에 키워드를 기반으로 사용자가 원하는 서비스를 정확하게 찾는 것은 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해서 시맨틱을 활용한 RESTful 웹서비스 검색 기법을 개발하였다. 이를 위해 우선 OpenAPI 통합 검색 시스템을 바탕으로 시맨틱을 활용하기 위한 시스템 구조를 구성하고, 시맨틱 검색을 위한 기술 형식을 모델링하였다. 이를 바탕으로 의미 마크업(태깅, 시맨틱 어노테이션)을 수행하여, 추출된 결과인 RDF 문서를 서비스 저장소에 저장하여 이를 바탕으로 검색을 수행한다. 온톨로지를 활용하여 입력받은 키워드를 확장하고, 이를 바탕으로 검색을 수행하여 사용자에게 유사도 기반의 키워드 검색 기법에서의 검색 결과보다 확장 / 정제된 검색 결과를 제공한다.

웹 서비스 기술이 안정화됨에 따라 기업내 혹은 기업간 웹 서비스들을 통합한 합성된 웹 서비스의 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 또한, 비기능적 속성은 다르지만 유사한 기능을제공하는 웹 서비스들의 증가로 인하여 품질관리는 중요한 이슈로 여겨지고 있다. 품질관리를 위해서는 모니터링 기능이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 중개자를 통한 합성된 웹 서비스의 품질 모니터링 시스템의 설계를 제안한다. 이 시스템은 OWL-S를 사용하여 합성된 서비스의 프로세스를 명세하며 WS-Policy를 사용하여 다양한 요구사항인 정책(각 서비스 입력 출력값, 품질요소 및 품질요소 값 등)을 명세하여 합성된 서비스 프로세스모델에 첨부한다. 또한, 센서를 이용하여 명세한 정책과실제로 모니터링된 데이터의 값을 비교하여 불일치하면 위반사항이 발생하였음을 웹 서비스 제공자 및 사용자에게 통보함으로서 품질을 관리한다. 제안한 시스템의 검증을 위하여 여행 예약 시스템 예제를 가지고 평균 응답시간과 타임아웃 정책을 적용하여 모니터링한 결과를 보여 준다.

Current web accessibility checks and automatic assessments have been pointed out that the assessment items and scores are evaluated from the developer's point of view rather than from the user's one. In addition, although most of the grades of an automatic assessment on the public web sites are excellent because they are built in accordance with the web accessibility development guidelines, not a few web sites shows relatively low grades in evaluating their usability test made by those users. Taking into account the inadequacy of these web accessibility assessments, this study has identified the differences between the grades of usability evaluations and automatic evaluations for people with low vision and analyzed the major factors affecting web accessibility usability evaluations using Repertory Grid Techniques. Also, the Hard Laddering method of the Means-End Chain theory was adopted to visualize the relationship between Attributes-Conferences-Value and a hierarchical value system analysis based on FGI(Focused Group Interview) to people with the low vision. This study proposed the measures to improve the current web accessibility automatic assessment allocation, expert evaluation criteria, and user task assessment. In particular, it is a web accessibility user evaluation model that can consider the web accessibility quality certification criteria and user review assessment by directly analyzing the user cognitive structure and value system. This study is expected to be useful as a research to enhance the quality of web accessibility assessment.

The exponential growth of information on the web far exceeds the capacity of present day information retrieval systems and search engines, making information integration on the web difficult. In order to overcome this, semantic web technologies were proposed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) to achieve a higher degree of automation and precision in information retrieval systems. Semantic web, with its promise to deliver machine understanding to the traditional web, has attracted a significant amount of research from academia as well as from industries. Semantic web is an extension of the current web in which data can be shared and reused across the internet. RDF and ontology are two essential components of the semantic web architecture which support a common framework for data storage and representation of data semantics, respectively. Ontologies being the backbone of semantic web applications, it is more relevant to study various approaches in their application, usage, and integration into web services. In this article, an effort has been made to review the research work being undertaken in the area of design and development of ontology supported information systems. This paper also briefly explains the emerging semantic web technologies and standards.

The Web accessibility compliance rate of public organizations and private enterprises is still low due to the lack of awareness of Web accessibility by website developers and managers in spite of the fact that web accessibility compliance became mandatory in 2008. Web developers and managers think the website visual quality might be compromised or the website requires more development time and budget in order to comply with the web accessibility guidelines. Therefore, this paper has analyzed whether developers with various training in web accessibility or experience on website development have different perception on time, cost and design issues for developing accessible websites. For this purpose, 72 Web developers with hand-on experience working for website development companies in Korea were sent to the questionaries. The results have indicated that the group of developers with many hours of training in web accessibility and rich experience on website development perceives that they can develop accessible website without additional cost and time or compromising design quality. The contributions of this paper are following： (1) proving the widely recognized perception on budget, time, and design for developing accessible website is incorrect and (2) motivating further research on this subject in the future.

The modern government's role: As an enterprise (To be efficient and effective.); as a service and information provider (government processes that are unique to government). The modern government's role demand interoperation. The Web services architecture is based upon the interactions among three components: Service provider, service broker and service requestor. Service broker is sometimes referred to as service registry. The interactions involve publish, find and bind operations. The paper introduces the concept of web services as a way to realize interoperation between distributed applications. The paper addresses interoperation between e-government and citizen. The motivation of this work was to determine the potentials of the Web services technology for an interoperability infrastructure for e-government. In many countries, the traditional governments have many problems that stem from both insufficient and improper use of ICT. "Insufficient use" refers to the traditional means such as manual archiving systems. "Improper use", on the other hand, refers to the lack of an interoperability infrastructure within and among the government agencies. In this work.
