A Study on the Affecting Factors for the Reuse Intention of the Micro-Blog and Web-Blog Service (마이크로 블로그와 웹블로그 서비스의 재사용의도에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구)

  • Recently Micro-blog service is used quickly in our life with dissemination of Smart-phone. This study performed based on a view that there is a difference of user's intention to reuse Web-blogs & Micro-blogs. This study also based on the existing motive theory for using which considers five factors-information, entertainment, interaction, personalization, and convenience. The AMOS structure equation used for the analysis of users' revisit intention. The results of the study shows that Micro-blogs are influenced by entertainment, personalization, and convenience. On the other hand, Web-blogs are influenced by entertainment, and personalization.

Efficient Blog Retrieval System by Topic-based Weighting (주제어 가중치 기법에 의한 효율적인 블로그 검색 시스템)

  • In the new generation of Web, commonly called "Web 2.0", blogging has facilitated the publishing information or his/her opinion on the web. Various blog retrieval algorithms have been proposed to search for blogs more effectively. However, actually keyword-based searching or link-analysis blog ranking system cannot satisfy the user's requirement. In this paper, we suggest a topic-based weighting blog retrieval system in which the links between blog writings and searching words are considered to improve the search results. Our system extracts topics from each blog and weights them much higher than other guide words. In the comparison with other systems, we see that the proposed topic-base system has better recall rate of search results.

  • The Learning Models including the design principle about web 2.0 use in education has been recently presented. In types of web 2.0 tools, blogs are the best tool that reflected the trends of web 2.0 and these are able to share a lot of information and contents. To invent new learning methods involving web 2.0, this study aims to get the results about effectiveness of learning performance on a supplementary learning tool based on blog using learner-centric UI/UX design in higher education. As a study tool, installation-type blog that can be designed as user-centric system is applied to experimental environment. This study presents the conclusion that supplementary learning tool based on blog using learner-centric UI/UX design influences on learning achievement and learning flow through the analysis of questionnaire results of learners, learning evaluation score of learners and assignments evaluation score of learners.

The Effective Blog Search Algorithm based on the Structural Features in the Blogspace (블로그의 구조적 특성을 고려한 효율적인 블로그 검색 알고리즘)

  • Today, most web pages are being created in the blogspace or evolving into the blogspace. A blog entry (blog page) includes non-traditional features of Web pages, such as trackback links, bloggers' authority, tags, and comments. Thus, the traditional rank algorithms are not proper to evaluate blog entries because those algorithms do not consider the blog specific features. In this paper, a new algorithm called "Blog-Rank" is proposed. This algorithm ranks blog entries by calculating bloggers' reputation scores, trackback scores, and comment scores based on the features of the blog entries. This algorithm is also applied to searching for information related to the users' queries in the blogspace. The experiment shows that it finds the much more relevant information than the traditional ranking algorithms.

  • A blog is a website, usually maintained by an individual, with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse chronological order. Blog search engines, like web search engines, seek information for searchers on blogs. Blog search engines sometimes output unsatisfactory results, mainly due to spam blogs or splogs. Splogs are blogs hosting spam posts, plagiarized or auto-generated contents for the sole purpose of hosting advertizements or raising the search rankings of target sites. This thesis focuses on splog detection. This thesis proposes a new splog detection method, which is based on blog post structure similarity and posting count per day. Experiments based on methods proposed a day show excellent result on splog detection tasks with over 90% accuracy.

A Method for Converting OSEM to OWL and Recommending Interest Blog Communities (온톨로지 기반 시맨틱 블로그 모델의 OWL 변환 및 관심 블로그 커뮤니티 추천 기법)

  • As a new community forming environment, the blog platform enables sharing of the resources in blogosphere through active information exchange. Many researches have been performed to recommend appropriate resources to users from vast amounts of blog resources. As one of the solutions OSEM defines the knowledge base in the blogosphere with ontology for effectively modeling it. In this paper, we propose a technique of converting the knowledge base into the OWL ontology for sharing it on the semantic web environment. An inference method is then applied to the OWL ontology for recommending interest blog communities. For this aim, a mapping method is offered and then SWRL inference and SPARQL query based on the ontology are employed to extract interest blog communities.

Research on Using Blog in Web based PBL (웹 기반 PBL에서 블로그 활용에 대한 연구)

  • The purpose of this research is to suggest the direction of using blog in e-PBL. In this research we used blog for supporting individual self-regulated learning activity. We distributed space for individual learning and collaborative learning by using blog and community. 39 students participated during the 16 weeks, which includes 8 weeks of traditional e-PBL and 8 weeks of Blog based e-PBL. We conducted questionnaires and interviews, and analyzed learners' reflection notes. Data show learners feel comfortable with using blog in their independent learning activity. And blog activated learners' reflective activity and motivated their self-regulated learning.

  • We propose the RSS Channel retrieval system to activate the blog information transmission. The system consists of a web crawler and blog DB. Web Crawler moves in limited breath first searching method and it collects the RSS Channel Address. Blog DB renews information using RSS. The user could be recommended the RSS Channel using the various query.
