Purpose: To develop a web-based program on blood-borne infection control and to examine the effect of the newly developed program on perceived threat of diseases, knowledge, preventive health behaviors for blood-borne infections, and incidence rates of accidental needle sticks and other sharp object injuries in nurses. Methods: The program was developed through the processes of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research design involved a nonequivalent control group for pretest and posttest experiments. The setting was a 745-bed general hospital located in Korea. Results: The program was designed and developed after consulting previous studies. After development of the program was completed, it was evaluated and revised by a panel of experts. The total score for perceived threat of diseases, knowledge, preventive health behaviors in the experimental group was significantly higher compared to the control group (p<.05). The incidence rates for needle sticks and other sharp object injuries in the experimental group were significantly lower compared to the control group (p<.05). Conclusion: Application of a Web-based, blood-borne infection control program is effective, and can be expanded to other healthcare workers who also have a high risk of blood-borne infections.

Purpose: The purpose of the study is to develop a web-based program on child health care, and to identify the effect of the program on knowledge of, attitudes towards child health care, and health care practice in staff of daycare centers. Methods: The program was developed through the processes of needs analysis, contents construction, design, development, and evaluation. After the program was developed, it was revised through feedback from 30 experts. To identify the effect of developed program, onegroup pretest-posttest design study was conducted with 64 staff members from 12 daycare centers in Korea. Results: The program was developed based on users' needs and consisted of five parts: health promotion, disease and symptoms management, oral health, injury and safety, sheets and forms. This study showed that the total score of staff who used the program was significantly higher in terms of knowledge, attitudes, and their health care practice compared with pretest score (p<.05). Conclusion: These results suggest that this Web-based program can contribute to the child health promotion as well as can provide the staff with the insightful child health information. Therefore, it is expected that this program will be applied to staff of other child care settings for children's health.

Purpose: The Korean Triage and Acuity Scale (KTAS) is a tool used to classify the severity and urgency of emergency department (ED) patients, focusing on their symptoms. In consideration of the importance of the KTAS, a web-based learning program has emerged as a new mode of education; it enables ED triage nurses to access it anytime and anywhere, and according to their own learning abilities. This study aimed to develop a web-based KTAS learning program and evaluate its effects on self-efficacy and triage performance ability in ED nurses. Methods: A quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest was used. The conceptual framework was Bandura's self-efficacy theory. There were 30 participants in the experimental group and 29 in the control group. The experimental group attended an orientation and 4 sessions of a web-based KTAS learning program. The learning program lasted 280 minutes over five weeks, consisting of 40 minutes of orientation and four 60-minute sessions. Results: The scores of self-efficacy, triage performance ability in KTAS level, and chief complaints significantly increased in the experimental group compared to the control group. In addition, the numbers of under-triage in KTAS significantly decreased in the experimental group in comparison to the control group. Conclusion: The results suggest that the learning program was effective in improving ED nurses' level of self-efficacy and triage performance ability (KTAS level and KTAS chief complaint). Accordingly, the web-based KTAS learning program can be applied as an education intervention to improve ED nurses' triage skill.

This study investigated the effects on young children's vocabulary and reading ability of the comprehensive language-teaching program using web-based picture books. The comprehensive language program was put into operation for 9 weeks with a classroom teacher who had in-service training for this program. The language course for the 23 children in the control group consisted only of ordinary language activities using teacher-made picture cards. Test results analyzed by t-test showed that the 25 children in the experimental group gained more than the control group on reading attitude including the concept of reading, accuracy, verbal expression, participation, contents and originality. Also, the ability to read a fairy tale aloud increased in the experimental group.

In this paper, web based monitoring systems are implemented for multi-axis force control systems of an intelligent robot. Linux operating systems are ported to an embedded system which Include a Xscale processor to implement a web based monitoring system. A device driver is developed to receive data from multi-axis force sensors of intelligent robots. To control this device driver, a socket program for Labview is also developed.

This paper is concerned with the development of web-based engineering calculation program using Javascript. Recently, various techniques are developed based on the advance of the internet environment. The Javascript can be used in the client PC without any interpreter which is necessary in Java. Simple formula can be easily constructed using the Javascript and the results can be readily available without any playing. In this study, we demonstrated the method of constructing engineering web useful for engineers.

전통적인 형성 평가 방법을 이용하여 웹 기반 학습 프로그램을 평가하는 것은 시간과 비용적인 면에서 비효율적일 뿐만 아니라 웹에서 활용 가능한 자료 수집 방법들도 이용하고 있지 못하다는 문제가 제기되고 있다. 웹 기반 학습 프로그램에 적용 가능한 형성 평가 방법을 개발하기 위해서는 웹 기반 학습 프로그램 개발 모형에 기초하여 각 세부 단계별로 형성 평가 방법을 달리 적용해야 한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 분석, 설계, 개발, 평가의 각 단계마다 참여 대상, 자료 수집 도구, 수집 내용별로 형성평가 방법을 달리하여 분류하였다. 이 형성 평가 방법을 통해 프로그램의 효과성을 높이고 질을 개선할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

A comutation server is needed to provide analysis programs to Korean biologists, especially genome researchers, on GINet. For each analysis program, we implmented an input form with HTML and a CGI program for interface between an input form and an analysis program with C language on GINet computatin Web server. We made two construction methods of CGI programs for analysis programs, and implemented all CGI programs based on the methods followed by modifying each CGI program for specific processing of each program. On the server ten programs are availabel now, which include most frequently used ones and those developed by our team, and most programs with will be ported or developed by our team will be available on the Web server.

본 연구는 중년층에게 시공간 제약 없이 가정에서도 노년기 준비교육을 받을 수 있도록 개발된 웹기반 노년기 준비프로그램에 대한 학습효과를 평가함으로써 예비 노년층을 위한 노년기 준비교육의 효율적인 학습전략을 위한 기초자료를 제시하고자 시도하였다. 연구대상자는 대구지역에 거주하는 만 40-59세의 중년층(실험군 36명, 대조군 34명) 70명이었으며, 자료수집기간은 2008년 3월부터 11월까지로 연구변수는 노인에 대한 지식과 태도, 노년기 생활설계를 조사하였다. 자료분석은 서술통계, χ²-test, t-test, repeated measure ANOVA 분석을 이용하였으며, 일반적 특성, 연구변수에 대한 동질성 검정과 학습효과를 파악하였다. 본 연구결과, 실험군과 대조군간 측정시기에 따른 노인에 대한 지식과 태도, 노년기 생활설계에서 측정시기별, 그룹 간과 그룹 내에서 통계적으로 유의한 변화를 나타냈다. 결론적으로 본 프로그램은 중년층으로 하여금 자신의 노년기를 예측하고 준비하여 노후설계를 할 수 있도록 지지하였으며, 원하면 언제든지 노년기 준비교육이 가능하도록 유도하였다.

The web service companies develop the App support technique of the HTML5 base in the smart media system and smart TV competitively while the Web platform of the HTML5 base is legislated with the next generation national standard. It is essential to the web kernel, which is the common library of the operating system including the file, window, resource and network management is provided in order to support the various app developments of the HTML5 base effectually. Additionally, the web application program can support UI/UX function of the desktop user using the web browser and JavaScript drive and administration, window management function, and etc. is needed.
