초등학생용 웹기반 음주예방교육 프로그램 개발 및 효과 (The Development and Effect of Web-based Alcohol Preventive Education Program for Elementary School Students)

  • Objective: The purpose of the this study was to test the effect of the alcohol preventive educational program for elementary school students through developing the web-based learning instruments. It will prevent the serious alcohol problem for adolescents and be the opening-learning according to learner's needs beyond the traditional classroom learning which has limitation of space and time. Method: This research designed based on web-based instructional system design by In-sung Jong(1997). This study was performed on the elementary school students who are the six grade in M city. The number of experimental group was 72 and control group's number was 72, totaled 144. Data were collected from September, 30th, 2004 to November, 5th, 2004, totaled 37days. The pretest and the posttest for web-based alcohol preventive education program were tested about knowledge and attitudes toward drinking. After the performance, the posttest was also tested the effect of this program under items by the interest of web-based learning, satisfaction, adequateness of material and so on. The data analysis was done using SPSS/Win 11.0 program. Result: The results of this study are as follows: 1) Compared with control group, experimental group which was educated the web-based alcohol preventive educational program for elementary school students was improved the knowledge on drinking, thin there was no significant difference. However, it showed significant difference between two groups after education. It was, therefore, partially supported. 2) Compared with control group, the experimental group which was educated the web-based alcohol preventive educational program for elementary school students showed significant difference in attitudes toward drinking. After education, it showed no significant difference attitudes. toward drinking between experimental group and control group. It was, therefore, partially supported. 3) The degree of learning motivation was an average.595 of 1 after learning applied to by the web-based alcohol preventive educational program for elementary school students. Then, it is relatively more higher than the result of existing studies. So, it showed that the motivation was done well. 4) Correlation among study variables It showed that there was the significantly positive correlation between knowledge and attitudes toward drinking of pretest experimental group. Also, there was the significantly positive correlation between attitudes toward drinking and learning motivation of pretest and posttest experimental group. Conclusion: I found that the web-based educational program helps the elarning process for the health education in the school field which the instructional materials lack. As a result, the web-based education motivates the learner's pleasure and promotes the learners interest. Also, it is possible for students to learn according to their own learning pace, repeated learning and active learning participation in the necessary parts. Therefore, I think the web-based educational program is worth as a intervention to get positive influence for the health education.

  • Recently, trends of information technology development include offerings of service for personalization, intelligence, and convergence. The research suggested a new tour system that tourists can make their tour packages by applying Semantic Web technology. The system includes ontologies and inference rules for offering intelligent and personalized service. Our system called MYT (Make Your Tour-package) was successfully demonstrated by employing realistic scenarios. Current version of the MYT system needs manager's intervention to link and integrate automatically ontology subsystem and Web service. In further study, the MYT will be extended to the system including a component integrating automatically subsystems and a component capturing and processing context data from RFID/USN.

인터넷 당뇨교육이 고혈당환자 혈당 개선에 미치는 효과 (Effects of Internet Diabetic Education on Blood Glucose in Hyperglycemic Patients)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate whether the effect of the Internet diabetic education on plasma glucose in people with hyperglycemic diabetes. Method: A randomized design with control and experimental groups being assessed pre- and post-intervention was used. Twenty-two patients were randomly assigned to an intervention group and 21 to a control group. Participants were requested to input the blood glucose level weekly in http://www.biodang.com by cellular phone or wire Internet for 3 months. The researcher sends optimal recommendations to each patient using short message service(SMS) of cellular phone and wire Internet weekly. Results: Patients in the intervention group had a mean decrease of 1.3% in glycosylated haemoglobin ($HbA_1c$) levels and those in the control group had no significant difference. There was a significant mean change in 2-hour postprandial blood glucose(2HPPG) for the intervention group, with a mean change of-75.2mg/dl. The mean change in the control group was, however, not significant. Conclusion: These findings indicated that a web-based intervention using SMS of cellular phone improved $HbA_1c$ and 2HPPG.

  • This paper discusses the interacting mobile robots for tele-operation system using the world wide web. In multi-agent and web-based teleoperation environment the problem of communication delay must be solved for the efficient and robust control of the system. The standard graphic user interface(GUI)is implemented using Java Programing language. The web browser is used to integrate the virtual environment and the standard GUI(Java applet) in a single user interface. Users can access a dedicated WWWserver and download the user interface. Reinforcement learning is applied to indirect control in order to autonomously operate without the need of human intervention.   • Purpose: The Korean Triage and Acuity Scale (KTAS) is a tool used to classify the severity and urgency of emergency department (ED) patients, focusing on their symptoms. In consideration of the importance of the KTAS, a web-based learning program has emerged as a new mode of education; it enables ED triage nurses to access it anytime and anywhere, and according to their own learning abilities. This study aimed to develop a web-based KTAS learning program and evaluate its effects on self-efficacy and triage performance ability in ED nurses. Methods: A quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest was used. The conceptual framework was Bandura's self-efficacy theory. There were 30 participants in the experimental group and 29 in the control group. The experimental group attended an orientation and 4 sessions of a web-based KTAS learning program. The learning program lasted 280 minutes over five weeks, consisting of 40 minutes of orientation and four 60-minute sessions. Results: The scores of self-efficacy, triage performance ability in KTAS level, and chief complaints significantly increased in the experimental group compared to the control group. In addition, the numbers of under-triage in KTAS significantly decreased in the experimental group in comparison to the control group. Conclusion: The results suggest that the learning program was effective in improving ED nurses' level of self-efficacy and triage performance ability (KTAS level and KTAS chief complaint). Accordingly, the web-based KTAS learning program can be applied as an education intervention to improve ED nurses' triage skill.

모바일 웹 기반 코로나19 격리 입원관리 교육이 환자의 불확실성, 불안 및 간호교육 만족도에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of Mobile Web-Based COVID-19 Isolation Hospitalization Management Training on Patient Uncertainty, Anxiety and Nursing Education Satisfaction)

  • Purpose: This study aims to identify the effects of mobile web-based COVID-19 isolation hospitalization management training on patient's uncertainty, anxiety, and nursing education satisfaction. Methods: Patients hospitalized with COVID-19 isolation rooms from August to October 2021, in Medical Center B which is an infectious disease dedicated hospital located in metropolitan city B were included. The total number of subjects was 142, of which 71 were the experimental group and 71 the control group. As an experimental treatment, a total of 5 minutes and 35 seconds of mobile web-based education were provided to the experimental group three times, including the day of, the first day of, and the second day of hospitalization. Existing training conducted on the control group was provided by the nurses in charge of the ward through oral explanation using printed materials. The data were analysed using the IBM SPSS/WIN 26.0 program. Results: Significant differences were observed between the two groups in pre-and post-assessment of uncertainty scores (t=-22.92, p<.001), anxiety scores (t=-15.03, p<.001) and nursing education satisfaction score (t=11.61, p<.001). Conclusion: As a result of the above, mobile web-based education can be used as an effective educational medium in nursing practice to improve the work efficiency and quality of nursing care and contribute to improving the patient's educational satisfaction.

우리나라 여고생의 초경연령 영향요인 (Factors Influencing Menarcheal Age among High School Girls)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study were to compare general characteristic of high school girls according to menarcheal age and to investigate the factors associated with the menarcheal age of high school girls. Methods: This study utilized the data of the 2013 Korean Youth Risk Behavior Web-based Survey (KYRBWS). The sample included 18,077 high school girls who experienced menarche. The questionnaires used for this study assessed menacheal age, grade, place of residence, family affluence, height, weight, diet pattern, physical activity, sleep duration, and stress level. Data was analyzed using the complex sample analysis (${\chi}^2$-test, ANOVA and multiple regression analysis). Results: Higher BMI, frequent vegetable consumption, short sleep duration, and higher stress level were associated with an earlier menarcheal age among high school girls. Conclusion: The findings of this study indicate intervention strategies to control the timing of menarche.

웹 기반 문제중심학습에 대한 학습자의 인식, 성찰수준, 학습활동에 관한 연구 - 간호학 대학원 학생을 중심으로 - (A Study on a Student's General Recognition of Web-Based PBL and Learning Activity of Students by Their Reflective Thinking Level)

  • Purpose: Level of reflective thinking of students are important factors in the area of nursing studies on web-based PBL. These factors were used as a component of learning strategies. One was to understand general recognition to web-based PBL and reaction to the use of reflective journal. The other was to investigate the level of reflective thinking was related to learning activity. Method: PBL was adopted for an online course titled 'Nursing Assessment and Intervention'. Twenty graduate students were evaluated from questionnaire, reflective journals, and individual assignments. Result: Web-based PBL was strong for self-directed learning, team activity, creative thinking, diversity of thinking, and diverse process of learning while hard time, lack of cooperation, uncertainty of outcome, and lack of time were considered as weakness. Reflective journal gave moderate help to learning activities. The learners' learning activities was the lowest in the middle level of reflective thinking. Conclusion: Generally, graduate students in college of nursing showed slightly positive attitude to PBL experience and slightly positive reaction to the learning effect of reflective journal. PBL was estimated to be valuable and meaningful. There was no relationship between the level of reflective thinking and learning activities.

한국 청소년의 주관적인 체형 인식과 건강요인 및 구강건강요인과의 관련성 - 2015년 청소년건강행태온라인조사를 바탕으로 - (The relationship between subjective body shape perception, health factors, and oral health factors among Korean adolescents - based on the 2015 Korea Youth Risk Behavior Web-Based Survey -)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between demographic characteristics, health factors, oral health factors and subjective body shape perception of adolescents in order to provide basic data for adolescents health management. Methods: This study was analyzed using Korea Youth Risk Behavior Web-Based Survey in 2015, where 68,043 adolescents in total participated. Data were analyzed by SPSS Ver. 21.0. Multiple regression analysis was used to analyze the relationships among health factors and oral health factors related to subjective body shape perception. Results: The analysis of the factors influencing the body shape perception of male adolescents showed that they tend to be low in school performance, low in family economic level, and high school students. The worse they perceive their subjective health to be, the more they feel stress, and the less frequently they brush their teeth per day. They had bad breath. The analysis of the factors influencing the body shape perception of female adolescents showed that they tend to be low in school performance, low in family economic level, and high school students. The worse they feel their subjective health is, the more they feel unhappy, and stressful, and the less frequently they brush their teeth per day. They feel pain during chewing, and have bad breath. Conclusions: In conclusion, it is necessary to consider educational intervention in adolescent life that will make them have proper perception of their body shape for proper health management of it. To make the intervention effective, we need to consider various factors such as health factors and oral health factors.

Recognition of and interventions for Mibyeong (subhealth) in South Korea: a national web-based survey of Korean medicine practitioners

  • Background: Medically unexplained symptoms (MUSs) are common in primary care. Atpresent, there are no proven, comprehensive treatments available in primary care forpatients with MUSs. However, MUS has parallels with "subhealth" or Mibyeong from tradi-tional East-Asian medicine, and thus, Mibyeong interventions could be effective in treatingMUS. Unfortunately, studies on Mibyeong and its intervention methods are relatively rare.Methods: We administered a web-based survey to 17,279 Korean medicine (KM) practitionersregistered with the Association of Korean Medicine. The response rate was 4.9% (n = 849).Based on the responses received, we assessed how much they agreed with concepts relatedto Mibyeong on a 7-point scale from "do not agree" to "strongly agree." Respondents werealso asked to indicate how frequently they encountered various subtypes and patterns ofMibyeong, and how frequently they use listed intervention methods.Results: Data from 818 respondents were analyzed after excluding those with no clinicalexperience. On average, respondents were male general practitioners aged between 30 yearsand 49 years, working or living in metropolitan areas such as Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggi-do. Responses did not differ by demographics. Respondents generally thought that Mibyeongreferred to subjective or borderline findings without certain disease, and that Mibyeong hasvarious subtypes and patterns. Subtypes included fatigue, pain, and digestion problems; pat-terns were either deficiencies (e.g., qi, blood, and yin deficiency) or stagnations (e.g., liver qidepression and qi stagnation). Decoction was the most frequently used type of interventionfor Mibyeong of all items listed, followed by acupuncture and moxibustion. Patient educa-tion was also recommended, suggesting healthy eating, promoting healthy environment,and exercise.Conclusion: We were able to provide preliminary results on KM practitioners' recognition ofand interventions for Mibyeong, but further research is needed to develop a detailed defi-nition of Mibyeong and its myriad subtypes and patterns, and evaluations of the efficacy ofMibyeong interventions.
