This paper describes the implementation of an internet-based servo-control system with novel direct internet control architecture which is insensitive to the inherent internet time delay. The servo control system can be controlled by using a PC provided at a local site. However, a large internet time delay may make some control inputs distorted. Moreover, since it is acted by the number of the internet nodes and loads, this delay is variable and unpredictable. This system consists of servo mechanism and Ethernet control adapter. Intention of this paper is to reduce the expenses, to manage effectively for plant and to increase the productivity through linking each plant of several factories by TCP/IP and Ethernet, and then many control plants and manager minimize the needed work. Experiments are partially fulfilled using the Labview and Matlab.

This paper aims to introduce some useful multimedia freewares, and also support Chinese instructor with discussing how to operate them for instructional design of multimedia language learning class. For this aims, this paper consists of three parts: First, instructional design. This part is focused to what kind of instructional model to be based on, for example, Dick & Carey model, ADDIE model, ASSURE model etc. This part introduces these models, and modifies ADDIE and ASSURE model to D.D.A.I.E.S and S.S.A.U.R.E.S as 'A(nalysis)' in these model may apply to the next 'D(evelopment)' on ADDIE, 'S(elect Methods, Media and Materials)' on ASSURE in the practical Chinese class. Second, Programme: What to use. This part is focused to what kind of free software we can use. In the web site online, there are huge free softwares so we usually hesitate to select and also don't know how to operate even though selected one of them. This part, accordingly, introduces ten of useful freewares and compares each other in terms of usefulness for Chinese instructors. Third, Programme: How to use. It is of no use just to know what to use but not to know how to operate, so this part describes how to use freewares like a kind of manual in detail as far as possible. In conclusion, we hope more Chinese instructors to learn and use more useful freewares for designing the better multimedia Chinese class by this paper.

In this paper, we have developed electronic textbooks for social studies centering on contents of a public educational process so that primary schools can use them as a text book. Also, we conducted a survey to find out how teachers perceived electronic textbooks in respect to site accessibility and utility, instructional design, progress of lesson, validity and accuracy of learning content, interface design, and web-based multimedia. In this paper, we presented a new model for electronic textbooks development, which is expected to be useful in developing electronic textbooks as a main text book, unlike other existing models. We applied the navigation utilizing book metaphors to the user interface, on the basis of the results from the analysis of the existing electronic textbooks. In addition, we provided affluent multi-media materials as well as hyperlink, a strong point of on-lines. Experimental results show that the academic achievement was high in knowledge-understanding areas and functional areas in the perspective of academic achievements of the learners.

Purpose: Health professionals and policy makers confront the failure of provider-administered, conventional behavioral interventions in the fight against obesity epidemic. The aim of this study was to develop a tailored, cost-effective delivery system for a child obesity prevention and management program through technology convergence using Web-enabled smart cellular phones. Methods: Assessment of service needs and development of a delivery system for the program were based on a comprehensive literature review and expert reviews, and results from in-depth interviews and a need-assessment survey. Results: The user- and site-centered service delivery system using Web-enabled cellular telephones as the hardware platform for obesity prevention and management has been developed. A tailored informational service and intervention will be provided interactively between stakeholders through the platform. The potential legal issues associated with the service design have also been considered. Conclusion: The user-centered convergence design and platform based on principles of Transtheoretical Model and Stages of Change using the Health Promoting School framework could enable effective intervention and promote acceptance in the long-run.

Purpose Product characteristics and price value in website have strongly effects on customer satisfaction. Especially, in the online shopping site, the scarcity limits the customer's opportunity to purchase the product. Thus scarcity has been proposed as a important factor that makes the customer highly aware of the merchantability of the product. The scarcity in the web store is used as an important variable to make purchasing decisions of users easier by psychological pressure. In the case of scarce products with price discounts in online commerce, advertising formats that highlight scarcity value in the web commerce market are very effective in enhancing purchase intentions of consumers. Unlike offline stores, the importance of scarcity becomes more important when reflecting the characteristics of online commerce. Therefore, this study intends to confirm the influence of the degree of price discounts and scarcity information presented by Web sites on consumer purchase behavior in Web purchase behavior. Design/methodology/approach This study conducted a web-based experimental study on price sensitivity and price discount. Therefore, we created experimental web-sites that offer two stimuli according to the discount rate. The 200 respondents were randomly assigned. The stimuli were fictitious based on tourism products. The first stimulus presented the price discount(15% discount) with basic explanation about the package of the tourist package. The stimuli assigned to the second group were used for groups with high price discount intensity(65% discount). In this way, the two stimuli clearly distinguished the level of price discount intensity. This paper conducted t-test analysis and structural equation to analyze the experiemental results after confirming the reliability and validity. Findings The results of this study are as follows. The difference in price discount intensity (15% vs 65%) with scarcity showed the mean difference among all the variables. Therefore, this study concluded that there is a significant difference between the price discount of 15% and 65% for the acquisition value and transaction value of users. In particular, consumers' purchase intention is greater and product recommendation intensity is stronger when the price discount is 65%. As a result, the high degree of the price discount intensity with scarcity exerts a greater influence on consumers' purchase intentions. Product scarcity also have a significant impact on perceived value of users. Therefore, purchase intention of customers increases when perceived value increases their profit and pleasure feeling.

A lot many WWW sites are come into the world more and more as Web is considered as the unified Internet information tool. The location of each site or resource is usually specified by a physical URL, which is often too long to remember and tends to raise difficulty to show the aim of the site intuitively by seeing it. Since any person or organization can get his/her own domain name easily, it is more desirable to use a logical URL with the domain name which can be chosen more compact to remember and meaningful to represent the ultimate intention of the site. This paper presents an implementation of a URL forwarding server which forwards a URL to another, so that a WWW site can use a logical URL instead of a physical one. The server consists of a domain mapper which uses the redirection transaction of the HTTP protocol, and a name server based on the HIND. The paper shows how the interaction between the domain mapper and the name sever can make forwarding possible and describes its implementation in detail. Experimental results shows that the overhead incurred by URL forwarding is negligible compared to the typical delay of current Internet traffic condition.

People are experiencing severe navigation problems in mobile site Relatively limited research, however, has been conducted on mobile site navigation compared to web site navigation. This research aims to identify efficient mobile site navigation aids for timely preferred contents. It proposed timely menu system based on statistic data, and evaluates its efficiency through commercial beta test. We conducted a beta test in the fourth quarter of the year 2007. The total number of user is 12,000. The average number of PV (page view) by the experimental group was increased to 10% more than control group. Our results indicate that timely menu system helps people navigate mobile menu system more effectively.

This study aims to know the trace of Korean musical, consider musical depending on its type, arrange characteristic of musical costume and find out the developmental direction of Korean musical costume with potentials as a culture industry. For study method, the data were collected from thesis, academic journal, book and internet web-site concerning musical costume, literatures were considered and performance costume photos, which were captured via musical performance site, were analyzed. The history of Korean modern-day musical is regarded as starting with (1966) in the full scale. Although foreign musical was imitated in 1970s~1980s, it may be called the growth period of Korean musical because the period showed the commercial possibility. Since 1990s, large-scaled musical securing good work and popularity was popular. In 2000s, musical industry was abundant quantitatively and qualitatively as investment or popularity was significantly expanded. The type of Korean musical are divided to opera musical of European, Broadway musical of American and creative musical of Korean. The costumes used in opera musical of European and Broadway musical of American are borrowed from original works through license or were manufactured in Korea by referring to the costumes of original works and using similar materials or fabrics. The costumes used in creative musical of Korea are designed by either domestic or foreign designers and produced in Korea.

Statistics of extreme rainfall play a vital role in engineering practice from the perspective of mitigation and protection of infrastructure and human life from flooding. While flood frequency assessments, based on river flood flow data are preferred, the analysis of rainfall data is often more convenient due to the finer spatial nature of rainfall recording networks, often with longer records, and potentially more easily transferable from site to site. The rainfall frequency analysis as a design tool has developed over the years in New Zealand from Seelye's daily rainfall frequency maps in 1947 to Thompson's web based tool in 2010. This paper will present a history of the development of New Zealand rainfall frequency analysis methods, and the details of the latest method, so that comparisons may in future be made with the development of Korean methods. One of the main findings in the development of methods was new knowledge on the distribution of New Zealand rainfall extremes. The High Intensity Rainfall Design System (HIRDS.V3) method (Thompson, 2011) is based upon a regional rainfall frequency analysis with the following assumptions: $\bullet$ An "index flood" rainfall regional frequency method, using the median annual maximum rainfall as the indexing variable. $\bullet$ A regional dimensionless growth curve based on the Generalised Extreme Value (GEV), and using goodness of fit test for the GEV, Gumbel (EV1), and Generalised Logistic (GLO) distributions. $\bullet$ Mapping of median annual maximum rainfall and parameters of the regional growth curves, using thin-plate smoothing splines, a $2km\times2km$ grid, L moments statistics, 10 durations from 10 minutes to 72 hours, and a maximum Average Recurrence Interval of 100 years.
