A Study on the Property of Web Character (웹 캐릭터 특성과 선호도에 관한 연구)

  • Characters consist of non-digital characters and digital characters. Digital characters consist of general digital characters and web characters. The web characters is important in the rate of web site and web contents. But there is nothing about studies of web character. This study explain a definition, concept and property of the web character, suggest the correlation of web character preference and property of web character in korea web site. The properts of web character are simplicity, sympathy and originality. By results of this study, sympathy and originality of web character have relations with preference of web character. But simplicity of character has not relations with that. This study will do much for making the web character.

  • In this paper, we designed and implemented Avata construction system using XML(extensible Markup Language) and SVG(Scalable Vector Graphic). The Web character created with Avata(or Web character) construction system are displayed in same (on without damage of image, regardless terminal type and user can modify and change image easily in form that want. Compare with existing Web character system, the Reusability of web character part element Is increased greatly with Avata construction system of this paper. Because SVG is described by text, graphic retrieval is convenient, and applications can use easily SVG document. Also, SVG can create web graphic document dynamically with database because can access easily in all graphic primitives of line, Polygon, text, image etc. As well as web character using study finding, we may develop usable technology to some contents on World Wide Web.

  • It makes an appearance that multi-media of Avatar, Cyber-Character, Cyber-Pet, Emoticon caused by Web-Environment advancement. Internet-User was fascinated by anonymous name of Web in the past but a desire goes on increasing to express oneself using the multi-media characters. Therefore, this study investigates that the feature of avatar character different from the general characters as making a survey of preference of avatar characters type in the various multi-media characters and presenting an efficient method at the making avatar characters. Consequently, the most efficient avatar characters type have to be concerned about functional factors rather than feature, feeling. exactly, it must be make conspicuous to personality of user and must make suitableness type of personality.

  • In this paper, we developed on internet based assembly information display system for the blind. The system is consist of hardware and software. The hardware is consist of a voice synthesis device and a tactile display for character information, and the software is consist of internet web browser for the blind and braille program. The tactile-device system consists of a control unit, pin array, pin generator, serial port, and a power supply. The pin exerted by a electromagnetic method, solenoid. The internet web browser separates the character and image from internet web page, and character information in the web page is converted to braille and fed to sound system. Also the image in the web page can be printed developed tactile display. As the results of experiment, the blind could access the internet web site by using this system and understand various internet information.

  • In this paper, We have developed the Internet web browser for the blind and visually impaired person. The Internet Web browser system consists of personal computer connected to Internet, braille display, voice synthesis devices for character information, tactile display for the representation of web image and braille printer for web page printing. We convert character in the web page to braille and print it to braille display. The image in the web page is printed with tactile display actuated by solenoid. The blind can acess the Internet web site with this web browser system and understand the Internet information.

  • This study analyzed the genres of popular character web dramas and studied the development of story recommendations through the language model GPT. As a result of the study, it was confirmed that similar cliches are repeated in web dramas. In this study, a common story structure (cliché) was analyzed and a typical story structure was standardized and presented so that even unskilled video producers can easily produce character web dramas. For analysis, clichés of web dramas in the school romance genre, which is the most popular genre among teenagers, were listed in order of success. In addition, this study studied the story recommendation mechanism for users by learning the clichés that were analyzed and cataloged in GPT. Through this study, it is expected to accelerate the production of various contents as well as popular popularity through the acceptance of various databases from the standpoint of database consumption theory of web contents.

  • It is necessary to analyze the character that are a key element of the story in order to analyze the story. Current character analysis methods such as Character-net and RoleNet are not sufficient to classify the roles of supporting characters by only analyzing the results of the final accumulated stories. It is necessary to study the time series analysis method according to the story progress in order to analyze the role of supporting characters rather than the accumulated story analysis method. In this paper, we propose a method to classify helpers as a mentor and a best friend through 3-D visualization of Character-net and evaluate the accuracy of the method. WebGL is used to configure the interface for 3D visualization so that anyone can see the results on the web browser. It is also proposed that rules to distinguish mentors and best friends and evaluated their performance. The results of the evaluation of 10 characters selected for 7 films confirms that they are 90% accurate.

  • This article analyzes 'book traveler' stories as a new sub-genre of Korean fantasy web fiction. Formal innovation is revealed as the major motivation of Korean fantasy web fiction's narratives. Furthermore, the imagination of social resistance was presented as the formal devices of the genre. These theses were performed during the analysis of the two characteristics of the genre. In this genre, the main character is the writer or reader of fantasy stories. He moves into a novel he is describing or reading. The original novel, which was entered by the main character, is a space characterized by the custom of a typical fantasy genre. Therefore, the main character actually experiences cliché, typical genre devices and plots. The most important action for the main character here is to 'bend' the custom of the original. Therefore, this genre is in the form of the main motive being the refraction of typology. Meanwhile, the main character is not the central character of the original, but a secondary figure. The central character of the original book is usually from the ruling class, which monopolizes the good resources of society. At this time, the genre creates a subversive situation in which the social underdog goes beyond the social power through plots that overwhelm the central figure. It converts the reader's social desire into a genre device. To summarize, the latest trend in Korean web novel fantasy has captured scenes of renewed Korean genre literature practices. It sensitively reflects the social context of the contemporaries and the reader's desire. Thus, the Korean web novel fantasy has reflected both its internal conditions and its social context.

The Effect of Orthography on Electronic Character Reading and Comprehending Ability in Japanese Education using ICT (ICT를 활용한 일본어 교육에서 문장 표기 형식이 영상문자 낭독 및 내용 파악에 미치는 효과)

  • We investigated the proper display environment for japanese electronic character reading lessons through the experiment with a projection TV and a computer. For the purpose of finding out the effect of prior learning activities at the context of authentic Japanese text orthography, which includes dual notation, words spacing, etc., we also made an experiment on comprehending the web documents which are extracted from japanese web sites. From the experimental results, we acquired a conclusion that two approaches are needed to enhance the ability of comprehending Japanese web documents which is newly added to the 7th curriculum revision. For short-term approach, we need to utilize Japanese web documents as learning materials. For long-term approach, we have to reconsider whether the orthography of the current Japanese textbooks is suitable or not.
