The purpose of this study was to discuss the role of mothers in children's privacy protection on the Internet. Specifically, the study explored 1)children's privacy protection efforts on the Internet, 2)types of personal information children provided at Web sites, and 3)the effect of mothers' privacy protection efforts on their children's privacy protection levels. The Internet survey was conducted and total of 153 mothers and their children aged 12-13 were included for statistical analysis. The descriptive statistics and Ordinary Least Squares were used. The results yield that children showed relatively high levels in providing personal information on the Internet, while they have no sufficient competency at privacy protection. The effect of mothers' privacy protection efforts on children's privacy protection was partially supported. The longer hours of Internet use and frequent participation in online events increased the potential consequences of children's privacy invasion. Providing privacy standards for online service providers and marketers targeting children could help protect children's privacy. Moreover, education program targeting parents and children could contribute them reduce potential consequences of children's privacy invasion.

Objective: This study focuses on the effects of pre-cues informing the location of upcoming visual stimulus on finger movement response in the context of control-on-display interfaces. Background: Previous research on pre-cues focus on attention allocation and motion studies were limited to indirect control conditions. The design of this study aimed to collect data on the exact landing point for finger-tap responses to a given visual stimulus. Method: Controlled visual stimuli and tasks were presented on a UI evaluation system built using mobile web standards; response accuracy and response time were measured and collected as appropriate. Among the 16 recruited participants, 11 completed the experiment. Results: Providing pre-cue on the location of stimulus affected response time and response accuracy. The response bias, which is a distance from the center of stimulus to the finger-tap location, was larger when the pre-cue was given during a one-handed operation. Conclusion: Given a pre-cue, response time decreases, but with accuracy penalized. Application: In designing touch-screen UI's - more strictly, visual components also acting as controllers - designers would do well to balance human perceptual and cognitive characteristics strategically.

The Internet of Things (IoT) is a concept that describes environments where various things are connected to the Internet. These objects can identify themselves and allow other devices the identify them as well. DLNA focuses on delivering interoperability guidelines based on open industry standards in order to complete cross-industry digital convergence. This paper proposes a two-way DLNA Adaptor and addresses the methodologies of service interoperation of the media contents. In this paper, the designs of the components of the DLNA Adaptor are presented, and the conclusion provides general remarks and a discussion of future work.

This study aims to investigate a framework for linkage of national research performance evaluation and research information service from the perspective of metadata representation and exchange. Based on results of the functional requirements for metadata of national research performance evaluation are derived, this study suggests strategies for the application of international metadata standards. Also, this study presents an method to implement the metadata of research performance evaluation based on OAI-ORE, which is an international standard that can reuse and exchange the research information on web architecture.

Purpose - The purpose of this research is to suggest researchers to know the standards of research ethics violation and eliminate the researchers' anxiety for the possible cases in violation of research ethics through the notification on the web site with online paper submission system for over the last year. We have made an effort and achieved the most exemplary and leading position in the academic journals, however, not satisfied with this, we will endeavor to strengthen it. Research design, data and methodology - Plagiarism and overlapping publications are the most serious problems in research ethics. Therefore, it is necessary to verify the submitted articles making use of paper similarity test programs such as copy killer, KCI test, etc. Editorial board and reviewers should present clear evidences and notify contributors on research ethics violation after close review the contributors' article content. Results - This research focused on the submitted articles which were verified as research ethics violation, and categorized them into 7 cases. Conclusions - With analyzing the verified 7 cases from KODISA journals, this research will examine closely the verification system and regulations in the current academic research ethics. Afterwards, this research will seek for solution to the problems and make an effort to get improvement for them.

XML has recently considered as a new standard for data presentation and exchange on the web, many researches are on going to develop applications and index mechanism to store and retrieve XML documents efficiently. In this paper, design a Main-Memory based XML storage system for efficient management of XML document. And propose structured retrieval of XML document tree which reduce the traverse of XML document tree using element type information included user queries. Proposed indexing mechanism has flexibilities for dynamic data update. Finally, for query processing of XML document include Link information, design a index structure of table type link information on observing XLink standards.

Today people are very interested in an electronic commerce based on web according to the rapid growth of Internet and multimedia technology. Buyers want the special services for themselves as they become more reasonable, wiser and deepening the tendency of personality. But today most electronic commerce only serves the catalog of goods which buyers see and choose shapes and standards of goods. It is needed sale agent using sale clerks' knowledge beyond the level of service only offering the information about goods to satisfY buyers. So in this thesis buyers can buy the goods suiting buyers' taste using ISA(lntelligent Sale Agent), sale clerks in cyber in place of sale clerks in actual shops in real world. The use of this kind of intelligent sale agent makes buyers save the time for searching for goods and do shopping suiting buyers' taste.

As wireless internet market grows rapidly in recent years, demands of various contents in wireless internet is significantly being increased. XHTML with extensibility that can support many kinds of internet web clients and platforms is established in world-wide standards of markup language. XHTML reforming HTML4 in XML 1.0 is recognized that It is the heart of the technology to integrate existing contents and increase the interoperability in wired and wireless internet. XHTML Basic for wireless internet are based on the XHTML. In this paper, we design and implement an document editor for XHTML Basic.'rho wireless internet document editor supports CSS creation that users can display XHTML Basic documents as they want. It also supports WYSIWYG editing that user4 inn make out them without difficulty.

This study provides a new operation strategy which can guarantee the data consistency of engineering information among the various intelligent information systems. We present the strategies for the operation of bridges engineering information and the construction methodology of integrated database. The two core standard techniques are adopted to construct the integrated database. One of these standards is the Standard for the Exchange of Product Model Data (STEP) for CAD/CAE information and the other is the Extensible Markup Language (XML) for engineering document information. This study can transform a document me into a data type for web-based application modules which assist end-users in searching and retrieval of engineering document data. In addition, relaying algorithm is developed to integrate the two different information, e.g. CAD/CAE information and engineering document information. The pilot application modules for management and maintenance of existing bridge are also developed to show application of the strategy.

Purpose To meet changing social demands and fulfill the needs of the information and communications technology industry, the curriculum of MIS related department should develop and implement new conceptual frameworks. In response, the purpose of this study was to develop curriculum for students in the Department of e-Business at Kyungnam University. Design/methodology/approach We conducted a demands analysis of educational demanders, NCS(National Competency Standards) based curricular analysis, and benchmarking from other management information systems related departments. The expert panel committee consisting of e-Business department faculty members was held to examine and discuss the student-oriented curriculum developed during this study. Findings Results show that the contents and types of curriculum should be organized so that students can maximize their professional job competency to apply to their core professional tasks. Given these findings, we reconstructed the curriculum with both basic and advanced courses, all systematically organized according to the job requirements they offer toward meeting the industry's needs. We also implemented the web-based JSSS(Job Searching Support System) with which educational demanders can search among 13 job types, estimate their performances, and obtain the information about course registration. In all this study presents specific, practical evidence of the job-related curriculum for students in the Department of e-Business at Kyungnam University.
