디젤기관의 흡기 맥동류가 체적효율에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Intake Pulsating Flow on Volumetric Efficiency in a Diesel Engine)

  • Empirical experiments have been undertaken to investigate the effects of Intake Pulsating Flow on volumetric efficiency in a diesel engine. Waves occurs in the manifolds of engine owing to the periodic nature of the induction and exhaust processes caused by piston motion. During induction process, as waves travel both directions, they are reflected and interacted each other and pressure waves are transmitted through it. Hence, the flow become more complex and unsteady flow. These pressure waves act upon intake pulsating flow and affects on volumetric efficiency. In this paper the effects of change in length of induction pipes and wide range of engine speed on volumetric efficiency was examined and evaluated. It was found that volumetric efficiency was affected by intake pulsating flow with engine speed and the pipe length. The results obtained were considered by adopting a theory of wave action.

  • This paper presents the result if a study m the development of a net type wave absorber with air pumping. The authors already show the usefulness of net type wave absorber in the previous study. However, when it comes to the long waves, it was not easy to maintain the same efficiency with net type wave absorber only. The authors tried to overcome this difficulty by adding air bubbles to the water. The results show that combining the net type wave absorber and the air bubble is more efficient than single adoptation of the wave absorber or a net type wave absorber.

파력발전용 링타입 임펄스터어빈의 성능 해석 (A Study on the Performance of the Ring-type Impulse Turbine for Wave Energy Conversion)

  • This paper deals with the design and aerodynamic analysis of a so-called 'ring-type' impulse turbine for wave energy conversion. Numerical analysis was performed using the CFD cock, FLUENT. The main idea of the proposed turbine rotor was to minimize the adverse effect of tip clearance of the turbine blade; the design was borrowed from a ducted propeller with connected ring tip for special purpose marine vehicles. Results show that the efficiency increases up to $10\%$, depending on flaw coefficient, with the higher flaw coefficient yielding better efficiency. Decrease of input coefficient CA was the main reason for higher efficiency. Performance of ring-type rotor at various design parameters, as well as flaw conditions, was investigated, and the advantages and the disadvantages of the present impulse turbine were also discussed.

  • 최근 무선 센서 네트워크(WSN : Wireless Sensor Network)의 에너지 효율성을 높이기 위한 다양한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 그러나 지금까지 제안된 기법들은 일반 센서노드에서 싱크노드로의 직접통신이나 인접 센서노드 간에 발송에너지를 발송거리에 따라 능동조절 가능 등 가정들을 기반으로 하고 있어 이런 기법들은 실제 실현하기 어렵다. 이 논문에서는 모든 센서 노드들은 일정한 전파범위와 데이터 전송률이 유지한다고 가정을 기반으로 다단계 라우팅 기법을 제안한다. 시뮬레이션을 통하여 제안기법이 기존기법보다 에너지 효율이 향상되었고 또한 실제 무선센서네트워크 적용하기 용이함을 입증하였다.

  • In this paper, an analysis of microstrip-slotline transition is performed using a 3D vector Finite Element Method(FEM). Artificial anistropic absorber technique is employed to implement an matching boundary condition in FEM. On the base of the analysis, power divider/combiner is designed. The structure of the power combiner already developed are Branch-line coupler, Rat-race coupler, Wilkinson coupler, Lange coupler, etc. Which are all planar, If the frequency goes up, the coupling efficiency of these planar couplers is decreased on account of skin loss. Especially, in millimeter-wave band, the efficiency of more than two ways combiner is radically reduced, so that application in power amplifier circuit is almost impossible, Microstrip-slotline transition structure is a power combining technique integrated into wave-guide, so that the loss is small and the efficiency is high. Theoretically, we can mount several transistors into the power-combiner. This makes it possible to develop a high power amplifier. The numerically calculated performances of the device that is, we believe, the best are compared to the experimental results in Ka-Band(26.5GHz-40GHz).

  • 본 논문에서는 차량의 흐름을 지체시키는 병목 지점에서 차량의 연료소비 감소를 위한 WAVE 방식 기반 V2V 및 V2I 의 정보 통신 기술을 이용하여 차량의 상대적인 속도를 제어하는 방법을 제안하였다. 연비 효율 비교 분석을 위한 모델을 제시하여 주기적으로 차량의 정차를 요하는 교통 신호등 방식보다 제안하는 방식이 병목 지점에서 연비 효율이 높아짐을 보였다. 또한 이 방식에서 병목지점에 진입하는 차량 간 속도 제어를 위한 감 가속도 유도 알고리즘을 제시하였다.

  • 정재파 열음향 냉각기의 스텍에서의 온도 구배와 냉각기 효율의 관계에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 스택에서의 로트식 (Rott Equation) 을 이용하여, 스택을 통과하는 엔탈피 플럭스의 크기가 크게 되면, 스택에서의 온도구배가 비선형의 특성을 나타내는 것을 밝혀내었다. 또한 이런 비선형의 스택 온도구배가 열음향 냉각기의 냉각 효율을 저하시키는 것을 확인하였다. 1/4 파장의 정재파 열음향 냉각기를 이용한 시뮬레이션을 통해, 특정길이의 스택에 대해 냉각 용량이 커질수록, 또한 특정냉각 용량에 대해, 스택의 길이가 길어질수록 비선형의 스택 온도구배가 크게 일어남을 알아낼 수 있었다.

  • An innovative design of a floating-buoy wave energy converter (WEC) using hydrostatic transmission (HST), named HSTWEC, is presented in this paper. The system is designed to convert ocean wave fluctuation into electricity by using the HST circuit and an electric generator. Based on the floating-buoy concept, the wave forces the sub-buoy to move up and down. Consequently, the electric power can be obtained from the generator in both the moving directions of the sub-buoy through the HST circuit as shown in Fig. 1. In order to investigate the HSTWEC operations, a mathematical model of the system is indispensible. In addition, the method to control the HSTWEC, including: pump displacement control, tension adjustment control and ballast weight control, is also discussed in this paper. Finally, the design concept as well as simulation results indicated that this HSTWEC design is an effective solution and possible to fabricate for wave energy generation.

  • In this paper, the theory and experiments on the one-way optical image transmission through optical fiber by using degenerate four wave mixing in BSO single crystal are demonstrated. From the theoretical analysis, the diffraction efficiency of phase conjugate wave in BSO single crystal is greatly dependent on applied electric field intensity, diffraction grating period formed in the crystal and incident beam ratio, those are also in good agreement with the experimental results. Based on the experimental results, we have arranged the typical degenerate four wave mixing system in the optimal conditions (applied electric field, E. = 5kV/cm` diffraction grating period, 3\ulcorner` beam ratio of backward pump wave versus signal wave, 2.7) and realized one-way optical image transmission system through optical fiber using BSO single crystal.
