  • Purpose: The analysis of individual eye model designed from clinical demonstration about emmetropia shows that the aberration would be changed by the wave change. Method: The model on the basis of clinical demonstration of eye ball is designed in a form of having 4 refraction surfaces and a constant refractive index. We analyzed designed twelve individual eye model into aberrations changes, as giving changes Fraunhofer lines's six wavelengths. Result: About individual eye model, change in the wavelength of the wavefront aberrations analysis using the Zernike coefficient. This data indicate that the shorter wave is, the more defocus increases and the deviation value of spherical aberration and RMS are widened. Conclusion: As quantity of defocus according to result wavelength change is shorter and shorter, inclination which is similar twelve individual eye model is bigger and bigger and individual eye model majority of cases, little change, and change is shown in part individual eye model is a significant performance degradation can be raised.

  • A holographic display based on a viewing window enables the converging of a reconstruction wave into a viewing window by means of an optical system. Accordingly, a user can observe a reconstructed hologram image, even with a small diffraction angle. It is very difficult to manufacture an optical system with no aberrations; thus, it is inevitable that a certain amount of wave aberrations will exist. A viewing-window-based holographic display, therefore, always includes distortions in an image reconstructed from a hologram pattern. Compensating the distortions of a reconstructed image is a very important technical issue because it can dramatically improve the performance when reconstructing a digital three-dimensional content image from a hologram pattern. We therefore propose a method for suppressing image distortion by measuring and compensating the wave aberration calculated from a Zernike polynomial, which can represent arbitrary wave aberrations. Through our experimental configuration using only numerical calculations, our proposed method decreased the reconstructed image distortion by more than 28%.

  • In this paper, we propose novel optics design for media inside near-field recording (NFR) using hemispherical solid immersion lens (HMS). To obtain strong advantage of data protection and high data capacity simultaneously, HMS based near field optics using aplanatic position of super hemisphere is designed. In this design, to improve small optical tolerance of this aplanatic position, additional aspheric lens surface is added on top of the HMS and it is combined with zoom optics which composed of two single lenses having low numerical aperture (NA). Also, to compensate chromatic aberration which happens seriously in optics using blue laser diode, diffractive optical element is used. Using zoom optics, additional aspheric lens surface, and diffractive optical element together, wavefront aberration and chromatic aberration are effectively reduced in broad range of cover layer thickness and wavelength variation. In addition, In this paper, effect of gap induced aberration is investigated by analyzing different behavior of each TM and TE wave for designed media inside dual-layer NFR optics.

  • This study was performed to analyze the optical aberrations of the cornea induced by myopic refractive surgery. Corneal total higher-order aberrations, spherical aberration and coma for 4-mm and 6-mm pupils were measured using a wave-front analyzer. The amount of aberrations of the oblate corneal optics by the achieved correction was found to be larger than for the prolate corneal shape with complete eye, in an emmetropia control group. The change in corneal shape acts as an optical factor that degrades the quality of the retinal image; it seems to be one of the important factors related to quality of vision.

  • We develop a plastic object lens for blu-ray disc playing pick-up module as morethan 0.85 numerical aperture in this research. We design plastic object lens for blu-ray disc playing pick-up module's each factor's in balanced and made our designed lens by injection molding. Furthermore, by correction designing in mold-core, we optimization our lens efficiency as world grade; wave front aberration $0.028{\lambda}$. RMS, light axis differential 0.3967arcmin. We can manufacture localized blu-ray disc's pick-up lens's component and by this fact we obtain international competitiveness. The result of this research will be very helpful to develop a single objective lens for 3 different wavelength of laser diodes in playing and recording pick-up module.

  • The purpose of this paper is to design a pick-up for the small form factor optical disk drive and to fabricate a micro-compensatory lens for the pick-up using the micro-compression molding process. At design stage, the optical elements including the objective lens and the compensatory lens are miniaturized. The height of pick-up and free working distance are designed as 2mm and 0.2% respectively. To analyze the fabricated micro-compensatory lens, the system was analyzed using the surface profile of the fabricated micro-compensatory lens and CODE V which is commercial software. The RMS wave front aberration of the system using fabricated micro-compensatory lens is 0.01677λ which is lower than Marechal's criterion, 0.07λ.

  • In the case of an imaging system affected by aberrations which are not precisely known, the effect of aberrations can be minimized and near-diffraction-limited images can be restored by introducing artificial random phase fluctuations in the exit pupil of the imaging system and using bispectral speckle imaging. In order to determine the optimum value of the correlation length for Gaussian random phase model, computer simulation is performed for 50 image frames of a point object in the presence of defocus, spherical aberration, coma, astigmatism of 1 wave, respectively. In terms of the criterion of performance, the FWHM of the point spread function, normalized peak intensity, MTF and visual inspection of the restored object are employed. The optimum value for the rms difference $\sigma$ of aberration on the exit pupil in the interval of Fried parameter ${\Upsilon}_0$ is given by 0.27-0.53 wave for spherical aberration, and 0.24-0.36 wave for defocus and astigmatism, respectively. It is found that the bispectral speckle imaging technique does not give good results in the case of coma.

  • 300mm F/4.0 telephotolens with diffractive hybrid lens was designed, and its optical performance was tested and compared with a traditional lens system. DOE(Diffractive Optical Element) reconstructs wavefronts using wave phenomena of light to focus the incident light onto the focal point and has negative Abbe number while a traditional lens uses geometrical phenomena of light and has positive Abbe number. Therefore, a diffractive hybrid lens containing both refractive and diffractive elements can remarkably correct chromatic aberration and spherical aberration of an optical system. We investigated and analyzed the optical properties of a diffractive hybrid lens for the visible spectrum, and we used a difractive hybrid lens to design and evaluate a 300mm F/4.0 telephotolens without the special LD(Low Dispersive) glass lens which is costly and difficult to manufacture. Most traditional telephotolenses use the special LD glass for chromatic aberration correcton. Optical performance tests such as resolution and characteristics of aberration of both lens systems using a diffractive hybrid lens and traditional lens were performed.

  • Synthetic zinc wave employs Pulsed plane wave as transmit beam with linear time delay curve. The received echoes in different transmit directions at different transmit times are superposed at imaging Points with Proper time delay compensation using synthetic focusing scheme. This scheme. which uses full aperture in transmit, obtains a high SNR image, and also features high lateral resolution by using two way dynamic focusing at all imaging depths. In this Paper, we consider the Problems in realization of synthetic zinc wave. Also. we have applied the scheme to obtain phantom and in-vivo images using a linear array of 5 MHz. In phantom test. experimental images show high resolution over a more extended imaging depth than conventional fixed Point transmit and receive dynamic focusing schemes In-vivo images show that the resolution could not overcome conventional focusing systems because of motion blurring and(or) aberration of tissue. but the frame rate tan be increased by a factor of more than 5 compared to conventional focusing schemes. with competitive resolution at all imaging depths .
