Digital watermarking is a technique for the purpose of protecting the ownership of the image by embedding invisible watermarks in a digital imnge. To guarantee the security of the digital watermarking scheme for copyright protection, it is required to satisfy some requirements robustness and perceptual invisibility which provided by the location of embedded bits, the public watermarking algorithm, and the hidden use of the key, which can protect unauthorized accesses from illegal users. For this, in this paper we propose a new copyright watermarking scheme, which is based on one-way hash functions using RSA functions and modular operations. RSA functions are widely used in cryptographic systems. Our watermarking scheme is robust against LSB(Jeast significant bit) attacks and gamma corresction attack, and is also perceptually invisible. We demonstrate the characteristics of our proposed watermarking scheme through experiments.
This paper proposes a high performance reversible watermarking (RW) scheme based on a novel compensation strategy. RW embeds data into a host image by modifying its pixel values slightly. It is found that certain modified pixels can be compensated to their original values during the proposed embedding procedure. The compensation effect in the RW scheme can improve the marked image quality significantly. By incorporating the pixel selection method, a higher quality image is obtained, which is verified by extensive experiments.
This paper proposes a novel text image watermarking algorithm based on word classification. The words are classified into K classes using simple features. Several adjacent words are grouped into a segment. and the segments are also classified using the word class information. The same amount of information is inserted into each of the segment classes. The signal is encoded by modifying some inter-word spaces statistics of segment classes. Subjective comparisons with conventional word-shift algorithms are presented under several criteria.
Needs for copyright protection of multimedia content are getting increased because of the internet growth. In this paper, a new technology which protects the content copyright to provide different content services by user level using the digital watermarking technology was proposed. The service can be provided by two layers of a paid user and a free user. By the proposed method, the paid user can use the high quality content and the free user only can use the low quality content. The digital watermarking technology was used to hide information to be able to improve the content quality.

There has been significant research in security technology such as e-passport standards, as e-passports have been introduced internationally. E-passports combine the latest security technologies such as smart card, public key infrastructure, and biometric recognition, so that these technologies can prevent unauthorized copies and counterfeits. Biometric information stored in e-passports is the most sensitive personal information, and it is expected to bring the highest risk of damages in case of its forgery or duplication. The present e-passport standards cannot handle security features that verify whether its biometric information is copied or not. In this paper, we propose an e-passport security technology in which biometric watermarking is used to prevent the copy of biometric information in the e-passport. The proposed method, biometric watermarking, embeds the invisible date of acquisition into the original data during the e-passport issuing process so that the human visual system cannot perceive its invisibly watermarked information. Then the biometric sample, having its unauthorized copy, is retrieved at the moment of reading the e-passport from the issuing database. The previous e-passport security technology placed an emphasis on both access control readers and anti-cloning chip features, and it is expected that the proposed feature, copy protection of biometric information, will be demanded as the cases of biometric recognition to verify personal identity information has increased.

Due to the rapid growth and expansion of the Internet, the digital multimedia such as image, audio and video are available for everyone. Anyone can make unauthorized copying for any digital product. Accordingly, the owner of these products cannot protect his ownership. Unfortunately, this situation will restrict any improvement which can be done on the digital media production in the future. Some procedures have been proposed to protect these products such as cryptography and watermarking techniques. Watermarking means embedding a message such as text, the image is called watermark, yet, in a host such as a text, an image, an audio, or a video, it is called a cover. Watermarking can provide and ensure security, data authentication and copyright protection for the digital media. In this paper, a new watermarking method of still image is proposed for the purpose of copyright protection. The procedure of embedding watermark is done in a transform domain. The discrete cosine transform (DCT) is exploited in the proposed method, where the watermark is embedded in the selected coefficients according to several criteria. With this procedure, the deterioration on the image is minimized to achieve high invisibility. Unlike the traditional techniques, in this paper, a new method is suggested for selecting the best blocks of DCT coefficients. After selecting the best DCT coefficients blocks, the best coefficients in the selected blocks are selected as a host in which the watermark bit is embedded. The coefficients selection is done depending on a weighting function method, where this function exploits the values and locations of the selected coefficients for choosing them. The experimental results proved that the proposed method has produced good imperceptibility and robustness for different types of attacks.

We propose an efficient video watermarking scheme using re-estimation and minimum modification technique of motion vectors. Conventional methods based on motion vectors do watermarking using modification of motion vectors. However, change of motion vectors results in the degradation of video quality. Thus, our scheme minimizes the modification of the original motion vectors and replaces an original motion vector by the adjacent optimal motion vector using re-estimation of motion vectors to avoid degradation of video quality. Besides, our scheme guarantees the amount of embedded watermark data using the adaptive threshold considering for an efficient video watermarking. In addition, this is compatible with current video compression standards without changing the bitstream. Experimental result shows that the proposed scheme obtains better video quality than other previous algorithms by about $0.6{\sim}1.3\;dB$.

The watermarking is the technique that embeds or extracts the certain data without the change of the original data for the copyright protection of the multimedia contents. Watermark-embedded contents must not be distinguished by human's eye and must be robust to the various image processing and the intentional distortions. In this paper, we propose a new watermarking technique applied in the wavelet domain which has both the spatial and frequency information of a image. For both the robustness and the invisibility, the positions for embedding the watermark is selected with the multi-threshold. We search the similarity between highly correlated coefficients in the each subband and decide the mark space after verifying the significance in the specified subband. The similarity is represented by the coefficient difference between the subbands and its distribution is used in the watermark embedding and extracting. The embedded watermark can be extracted without the original image using the relationship of the subbands. By these properties the proposed watermarking algorithm has the invisibility and the robustness to the attacks such as JPEG compression and the general image processing.

Digital watermarking has drawn extensive attention for protecting digital contents from unauthorized copying. This paper proposes a new watermarking scheme in frequency domain for copyright protection of digital audio. In our proposed watermarking system, the original audio is segmented into non-overlapping frames. Watermarks are then embedded into the selected prominent peaks in the magnitude spectrum of each frame. Watermarks are extracted by performing the inverse operation of watermark embedding process. Simulation results indicate that the proposed scheme is robust against various kinds of attacks such as noise addition, cropping, resampling, re-quantization, MP3 compression, and low pass filtering. Our proposed watermarking system outperforms Cox's method in terms of imperceptibility, while keeping comparable robustness with the Cox's method. Our proposed system achieves SNR (signal-to-noise ratio) values ranging from 20 dB to 28 dB. This is in contrast to Cox's method which achieves SNR values ranging from only 14 dB to 23 dB.
In recent year, the use of digital picture information and general picture information has been increased, However, numerous copyright infringement and pirate copy of picture information through Internet and CD-ROM happen very often, As a result, several methods of watermarking have been presented to solve and verify distortion of the original data, In addition, watermark data have been suggested to resolve the vastness of the original data, Watermarking methods are often used to protect the right of ownership of a copyright, However, these Watermarking methods have brought the obscurity of recognition caused by the complexity of verification procedure and the increase of magnitude computation occurrence, This paper mainly mentions about the local optimization of scaling parameter, the maximization of hiding of Watermark information and maximization of watermark information in case of restoration that determine the amount of inserted information which is used for preventing distortion and transformation of the original data caused by insertion and hiding of Watermark information on compounding Autostereogram into JPEG picture information.
