금강수계의 토지이용 및 수질구배에 따른 돌부착 돌말류의 분포특성 (Distribution of Epilithic Diatom Communities in Relation to Land-Use and Water Quality in the Geum River System, South Korea)

  • To study the distribution characteristics of diatom communities in relation to the gradient of water quality and land-use, water samples and epilithic diatoms were collected from 90 sites including mainstream and tributaries, in the Geum River System (GRS) during no rainfall, May 2011. Of 239 taxa identified, Achnanthes convergens and Cymbella minuta were dominated over all the sites. Cluster analysis on the GRS divided into three groups. Group 1 (G1) is the mountainous upstream, a relatively good water quality, and mainly consisted of saproxenous species. Group 2 (G2) is the urban sites, polluted (high in electric conductivity, total phosphate and soluble reactive phosphorus), and saproxenous and common species. Group 3 (G3) is the agriculture sites, and polluted (turbidity, total nitrogen, nitrate), and saprophilous species. There were some discrepancies between abiotic and biotic variables in GRS; biologically similar between G1 and G2, but abiotically similar between G2 and G3. These differences may attribute to not only physiological characteristics of diatom cells, but complicate relationships between microhabitat and water quality. Thus, an urgent development of generalized or standardized methods to diminish the differences between epilithic diatom community and environments is advent.

이수평가지수 개발을 통한 유역별 물이용 특성 평가 (Evaluation of Basin-Specific Water Use through Development of Water Use Assessment Index)

  • 본 연구에서는 물이용특성을 평가할 수 있는 세부지표 및 주제별 중간지수를 과거자료 분석과 요인분석을 통하여 선정하고 주제접근방식의 구성체계로 구성하였다. 또한 이를 종합하여 유역의 물이용 특성을 평가할 수 있는 통합지수(이수취약성지수)를 개발하였다. 개발된 지수를 이용하여 1990년부터 2007년까지의 유관기관의 자료를 활용하여 북한을 제외한 812개의 표준유역에 대해 물이용 특성을 평가하였다. 지표산정에 있어 여러 표준화 및 가중치부여 방법 중 타당한 방법을 찾고자 민감도 분석을 실시하였으며 개발된 지표의 객관성을 높이고자 물이용 특성을 평가하기 위해 개발된 다른 지표와는 달리 피해이력을 세부지표에서 제외하였다. 또한 실증적인 지표 및 지수 개발과 신뢰성을 확보하기 위하여 피해이력 유무에 따른 결과 비교 분석과 2008년 강원지역에 현장 적용성 검토를 수행하였다. 이와 같은 지수의 검증 과정을 통하여 세부지표의 선정과 지수 산정 방법 및 산정식의 타당성을 확인하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 유역의 물이용 관련 취약성을 시 공간적으로 분석하고 이에 대한 관련 정보를 다양하게 제공함으로써 물이용 관련 사업이나 정책의 우선순위 결정, 취약부분에 대한 보완책 마련 등의 대책 및 수립을 지원하는 등 다양한 부분에 적용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • Nowadays Climate disasters are frequently happening due to occasional occurrences of EI Nino and La Nina events and among them, water shortage is one of the serious problems. To cope with this problem, climate model simulations can give very helpful information. To utilize the climate model for enhancing the water resources planning techniques, probabilistic measures of the effectiveness of global climate model (GCM) simulations of an indicator variable for discriminating high versus low regional observations of a target variable are proposed in this study. The objective of this study is to present the various analysis methods to find the suitable application methods of GCM information for Korean water resources planning. The basic formulation uses the significance probability of the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test for detecting differences between two variables. The various methods for adopting correct association, changing the window size, discrimination condition, and the use of temporally down scaled data were proposed to find out the suitable way for Korean water resources planning.

노인 친화적 감성용 욕조 대안에 대한 노인 소비자의 요구 및 평가 (A Survey on the Aged Consumers' Needs for an Elderly Friendly and Sensitive Bathtub Alternative)

  • This study finds out the aged consumers' needs on the developing elderly friendly and sensitive bathtub. This bathtub focuses on enhancement of multi-senses and enhancement of health, safety & convenience during bath. The enhancing multi-senses would have four functions; therapy with color and aroma, the massage with micro water bubbles, the visual and auditory with TV & cinema, and the auditory with music and radio. Also, enhancing others of bathtub would have seven functions; emergency bell, blood-pressure check system for health condition, water temperature indicator, keeping water warm, reading a book in that, and controlling of house entrance door and a getting the phone during bath. The aged consumers' needs find throughout a questionnaire survey, and 497 data was analyzed. The main results are as follow. They consider a full bath behavior as a healthcare. They have an intention to purchase or use the elderly and friendly bathtub, and they prefer using it in common facilities to using it at home. They highly need health related function of bathtub, which are massage (64.4%), blood-pressure check system (55.1%) and aroma therapy (45.7%). The emergency bell (67.0%), keeping water warm (62.2%), and water temperature indicator (49.7%), related to safety & information function of bathtub, are needed. Also, they think tolerance for error and low physical effort in bathtub design alternative, opening door and inside sitting support, to be important.

국토계획과 환경계획 통합관리 지표 개발 연구 (A Study on Assessment Indicators for Integrated Management on Korea National Planning and Environmental Planning)

  • Both the national land plan and the environmental plan reflect the need for sustainable land use and management. However, the linkage between the plans is reduced due to the lack of integrated management. Therefore, this study developed indicators to achieve integrated management. A total of 59 environmental plans were reviewed for the development of indicators, and a total of 74 integrated management indicators were derived through a three-stage process. In this process, the relevance of the integrated management indicators of this study to the UN 's sustainable development goals (SDGs) is presented in order to derive indicators that meet the level of international consultation. In order to facilitate the utilization of the indicators, the final indicators are divided into seven areas: natural ecology, water resource and quality, urban and green space, atmospheric, energy, landscape, resource circulation and waste. Furthermore, the indicators were classified into national, regional, and city level. Accordingly, the final indicator can be adapted to the field of influence of the planned to be established, and the indicator can be selected and applied to the level of the plan. The final indicators can be used to examine the extent to which the national plan reflects the contents of the environmental plan and can be used as an aid to confirm the contents to be included in the plan when establishing a new national plan.

VERP 모델을 이용한 한라산국립공원 수용력 지표관리프로그램 개발 (Development of the Carrying Capacity Indicators Management Program based on VERP model in Hallasan National Park)

  • 2007년 국립공원 입장료 폐지 후 한라산국립공원 탐방객이 지속적으로 증가함에 따라 적정 이용 수준에 대한 관심이 높아졌다. 본 연구는 한라산국립공원의 적정 수용력 관리에 필요한 영향지표 및 평가기준과 이를 활용할 수 있는 수용력 지표관리프로그램 개발을 위해 수행되었다. 전문가 설문조사를 통해 8개의 영향지표(계곡수질, 탐방객 수, 탐방로 훼손정도, 혼잡 등)를 선정하였으며, 각 영향지표별 현지 조사를 통해 실험적 평가기준을 제시하였다. VERP 모델을 이용한 수용력 지표관리프로그램은 자원 및 탐방행태 변화에 대한 과학적인 분석과 국립공원의 지속 가능성을 평가하는데 효율적일 것이다. 또한, 통합 데이터 관리 및 활용으로 데이터를 체계적으로 관리하여 합리적인 의사결정을 내릴 수 있는 업무수행을 지원한다.

소음인의 구중화(口中和), 구중불화(口中不和)의 의미에 대한 고찰 (A Study on the meaning of the Soeumin's Softness and Non-softness in the mouth)

  • Objectives The purpose of this study is to examine the meaning of the Soeumin's Softness and Non-softness in the mouth(口中和, 口中不和). Methods We examined The Existing Doctors's using of the Softness and Non-softness in the mouth, and considered Jema Lee's using of the Softness and Non-softness in the mouth. Afterward, we considered the meaning of the Soeumin's Softness and Non-softness in the mouth in 『Donguisusebowon(東醫壽世保元)』. Results and Conclusion 1. Junggyeong Jang used the Softness in the mouth, and he didn't use the Non-softness in the mouth in 『Sanghanlun(傷寒論)』. 2. The Next Generation Doctors used the Softness in the mouth, and they didn't use the Non-softness in the mouth. Especially, Dongwon Lee used the Softness in the mouth as the Knowing the taste of food, and used the Non-softness in the mouth as the Non-knowing the taste of food. 3. Jema Lee used the Softness and Non-softness in the mouth as urgent indicator of the Soeumbyeong diarrhea in 『Gabobon(甲午本)』, and used the Softness and Non-softness in the mouth as classification indicator of the Taeeumbyeong and Soeumbyeong in 『Sinchuckbon(辛丑本)』. 4. The Non-softness in the mouth is Jema Lee's specific term. It means dry of mouth, thirsty and the Non-knowing the taste of food. 5. The change from the Non-softness to Softness in the mouth is recovery indicator of the Soeumin's disease. It is the basis for setting the Drinking water(能飮水) as the Soeumin's igiljeung(二吉證).

오존에 노출된 버즘나무의 광합성 특성과 민감성 지표 (Photosynthetic Characteristics and a Sensitive Indicator for $O_3$-exposed Platanus orientalis)

  • 오존 노출이 버즘나무의 광합성 특성에 미치는 영향을 조사하기 위하여, 2년생 버즘나무 유묘에 하루에 8시간씩 100 ppb의 오존을 처리하였다. 오존 처리를 진행하는 동안, 3주마다 버즘나무의 엽내 엽록소 함량과 광합성 특성을 측정하였다. 오존에 의한 잎의 가시적 피해는 나타나지 않았으며, 또한 엽내 엽록소 함량은 대조구와 뚜렷한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 그러나 광합성량, 기공전도도, 수분이용효율은 오존 처리 6주 후에 대조구보다 감소하였다. 한편 탄소고정효율과 광화학 효율은 오존 처리 3주와 6주 후에서 감소한 것으로 나타났다. 위의 결과를 토대로 볼 때, 탄소고정효율은 오존 스트레스에 가장 민감한 파라미터로 나타났으며, 이것은 오존 민감성을 평가하기 위한 매우 적당한 지표로 생각되었다.

The Investigation of a Novel Indicator System for Trace Determination and Speciation of Selenium in Natural Water Samples by Kinetic Spectrophotometric Detection

  • A novel catalytic kinetic method is proposed for the determination of Se(IV), Se(VI) and total inorganic selenium in water based on the catalytic effect of Se(IV) on the reduction of bromate by p-nitrophenylhydrazine at pH 3.0. The generated bromine, $Br_2$ or $Cl_2$ plus $Br_2$ in 0.1 M NaCl (or NaBr) environment efficiently decolorized Calmagite and the reaction was monitored spectrophotometrically at 523 nm as a function of time. In this indicator reaction, bromide acted as an activator for the catalysis of selenium (IV) and a reducing agent for selenium (VI) at pH 3.0, which allowed the determination of total selenium. The fixed time method was adopted for the determination and speciation of inorganic selenium. Under the optimum conditions, the calibration graph are linear in the range 1 - 35 ${\mu}gL^{-1}$ of Se(IV) for the fixed time method at $25^{\circ}C$. The detection limit based on statistical $3S_{blank}$/m-criterion was 0.215 ${\mu}gL^{-1}$ for the fixed time method (7 min). All of the variables that affect the sensitivity at 523 nm were investigated, and the optimum conditions were established. The interference effect of various cations and anions on the Se (IV) determination was also studied. The selectivity of the selenium determination was greatly improved with the use of the strongly cation exchange resin such as Amberlite IR120 plus. The proposed kinetic method was validated statistically and through recovery studies in natural water samples. The RSDs for ten replicate measurements of 5, 15 and 25 ${\mu}gL^{-1}$ of Se(IV) and Se(VI) was changed between 2.1 - 4.85%. Analyses of a certified standard reference material (NIST SRM 1643e) for selenium using the fixed-time method showed that the proposed kinetic method has good accuracy. Se(IV), Se(VI) and total inorganic selenium in environmental water samples have been successfully determined by this method after selective reduction of Se(VI) to Se(IV).

금호강(대구, 경북)본류에서 유수변초본식생의 군락분류와 그 분포특성 (Syntaxonomy and Distribution Characteristics of the Herbaceous Vegetation on Running Waterside in the Main Stream of Geumho River, Daegu and Gyeongsanbuk-do, Korea)

  • 1994년 6월부터 8월까지 금호강 본류의 유수변 초본식생을 식물사회학적으로 조사하였으며, 수질환경과 관련된 식생의 분포특성을 밝혔다. 금호강 본류의 하변식생은 여뀌-미꾸리낚시군락(Persicaria sieboldi-Persicaria hydropiper community), 고마리군락(Persicaria thunbergii community), 물봉선군락(Impatiens textori community), 줄군락(Zizania latifolia community), 갈대군락(Phragmites communis community), 물피군락(Echinochloa crus-galli var. oryzicola community)의 6군락으로 분류되어있다. 수질오염의 정도를 나타내는 BOD와 COD는 상류에서 각각 0.9ppm과 1.6ppm을 보였으며, 하류로 갈수록 증가하여 최하류에서는 각각 15.9ppm과 24.8ppm으로 나타났다. 하변식생의 분포유형은 최상류에 물봉선군락, 상류에서 중상류까지 여뀌-미꾸리낚시군락, 상류에서 중류까지 고마리군락, 중류에서 중하류까지 줄군락, 중하류에서 하류까지는 갈대군락 및 물피군락이 주로 우점하였다. 특히, 여뀌-미꾸리낚시군락과 고마리군락은 수환경의 생물지표로 이용될 수 있을 것으로 판단되었다.
