다변량 통계 분석기법을 이용한 한강수계 지천의 수질 평가 (Evaluation of Water Quality for the Han River Tributaries Using Multivariate Analysis)

  • 한강의 주요 14개 지류하천 유역의 수질오염원을 평가하고, 2007. 1~2009. 12의 하천 수질자료(14 data set)로 SPSS-17.0을 이용하여 하천별 수질 특성을 평가하였다. 시 공간변화에 대한 군집 분석을 실시한 결과 공간변화에 따라 4그룹으로 평가되었으며, 유역의 오염원 종류 및 밀도가 군집분류에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 시간변화에 따라 여름에서 가을까지(7~10월)와 겨울에서 초여름까지(11~6월)의 2그룹으로 분류되어 강우와 기온 그리고 부영양화 현상이 군집화에 기여하는 것으로 평가되었다. 조사대상 하천의 수질오염 요인은 유기물질 영양염류 세균오염요인과 하천 내 물질대사요인으로(71~90%) 설명되었고, 계절에 따라 주요인(수질오염물질)은 변화하는 것으로 나타났다. 각 하천의 수질특성은 요인과 유역 오염원을 같이 평가하였을 때 유용한 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.

  • 본 연구는 다변량 통계기법 중 하나인 주성분분석을 활용하여 실시간으로 수질이상 유무를 판단할 수 있는 경보시스템 개발을 목적으로 하였다. 본 연구에서는 다변량 분석 방법 중 수질항목 간의 상관성을 고려한 주성분 분석 방법을 실시간으로 수질이상 유무를 판단하는 알고리즘에 적용시켰다. K-water에서 제공하는 실제 자료를 이용하여 수질 이상에 대한 실시간 감시 알고리즘의 활용성을 검증하였으며, 집중호우 등과 같은 기후변화에 따른 수질이상에 대해서는 기상청 자료와의 비교를 통해 검증하였다.

  • Coal seam gas (CSG) production involves extracting methane from coal seams with ground water which is so called a primary by-product of this process, and is often rich in salts and other constituents. The predicted large volume and variable quality of this water make water management a topic associated with CSG production. In the past, the amount of this water used to be pumped into the vacant aquifer, or into the river during the life of individual production wells. Australian government make a strategies for management and beneficial use of the water. From this point of view, a detailed assessment has not been undertaken, it is necessary for water resource production to analysis the "Coal Seam Gas Water (CSG Water) Management Policy Study" published in Queensland, Australia.

일부 농촌지역 간이상수도의 운영실태와 수질에 관한 조사연구 (A Study on the Drinking Water Quality and Problem of Simple Piped Water Supply System in a Rural Area)

  • This study was carried out for 1 year between 1990 and 1991. The interviewers visited 513 households to evaluate the perception of the residents using the Simple Piped Water Supply (SPWS), and examined the pollution source surrounding 48 SPWS facilities and water quality by the chemical and microbiological method. The purpose of this study was to find out problems linked with SPWS and to investigate more efficient way of improvement in rural water supply. The results of the study are summarized as follows: 1) Approximately 44.0% of the sampled population have been served by simple piped water supply. 2) The drinking water was mostly taken from the springs in 8 sites and valley water in 40 sites. 3) Considering the type of distribution of the SPWS, there are 40 natural gravity systems and 8 pumping systems. 4) Out of the 180 SPWS in Chun Sung Area, 73.9% of the SPWS facilities %'ere used more than ten years. 5) 47.4% of the SPWS facilities are neighbored with pollution source. 6) 42.4% of the maintenance crews were not committed to their job but instead, the facilities were operated by some residents or community leaders who were personally concerned about quality of the facilities. 7) About 36.9% of the residents complaind that the amount of daily water supply is not adequate. 8) About 55.6% of the residents felt that the water quality is good for drinking water and therefore, But in contrast, the biochemical tests indicated that most of the SPWS met the drinking water quality standards. 9) Under the present water analysis system, The method of sampling and analysis are not effective, so that analysis system shoud be done by local health center.

기후변화에 따른 홍천강 유역의 수질 변화 분석 (Water Quality Analysis of Hongcheon River Basin Under Climate Change)

  • 기후변화로 인한 영향은 한반도뿐만 아니라 전 지구적으로 관찰되고 있다. 지난 100년간(1911 ~ 2010년) 전 지구적으로 $0.75^{\circ}C$가 상승한 반면, 한반도의 평균기온은 약 $1.5^{\circ}C$가 상승하였다. IPCC(Intergovermental Panel on Climate Change)에서 발간한 5차 기술보고서에 수온의 증가와 홍수 및 가뭄을 포함하는 극한 수문 사상의 변화는 수질에 영향을 미쳐 여러 가지 형태의 수질 오염을 보다 악화시킬 것으로 전망되고 있다(KMA and MOLIT, 2009). 본 연구에서는 기후변화에 따른 강원도 북한강에 위치한 홍천강 유역의 수질 변화를 분석하기 위하여 기후변화 시나리오 자료를 적용하여 미래유량을 각 목표 기간별로(Obs : 2001 ~ 2010년, Target I : 2011 ~ 2040년, Target II : 2041 ~ 2070년, Target III : 2071 ~ 2100년) 산정하였다. 또한, 수질 변화를 예측하기 위하여 미래유량을 토대로 유황분석을 시행한 후 다중회귀분석모형과 인공신경망모형을 통해 미래 수질변화를 분석하였다. 홍천강 유역의 수질예측 결과, 21세기 말 여름철에 생물학적 산소요구량, 화학적 산소요구량, 부유물질이 최대 16%, 13%, 15% 증가할 것으로 예측되어, 지속적이며 장기적인 수질 모니터링과 관리가 필요할 것으로 판단된다. 또한, 본 연구에서 사용한 기후자료뿐만 아니라 사회적 시나리오를 고려한다면 보다 신뢰성 있는 미래 수질 모의가 이루어질 것으로 판단된다.

친수지구의 계절별 수질특성과 친수활동의 적합성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Seasonal Water Quality Characteristics and Suitability of Waterfront Activitiesin Waterfront Areas)

  • 현재 주요하천의 홍수터는 레저활동의 증가와 접근성 개선에 따라 다양한 형태의 친수공간으로 변모하고 있다. 일반적으로 하도내의 친수활동은 여름철에 집중되는 경향이 있고 이 시기의 친수활동은 수질에 직접적 영향을 미친다. 이에 따라 친수활동이 집중되는 시기의 친수활동의 특성과 수질에 대한 정확한 비교평가가 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 친수지구 이용자의 친수활동 현황과 친수지구 수질을 비교분석 하기 위해 다음과 같이 연구를 수행하였다. 첫째, 환경부 수질측정망 정보를 이용하여 조사대상 친수지구 3개소를 선정하였다. 둘째 친수지구 이용자를 대상으로 친수활동 만족도 및 유형에 대한 설문조사를 실시하였다. 셋째, 월별 수질측정 인자를 기준으로 수질등급을 산정하고 이를 비교하였다. 넷째, 최근 5년간의 수질측정 자료를 이용하여 친수활동이 높은 시기와 그렇지 않은 시기의 수질특성에 유의한 차이가 있는지를 통계분석(일원배치 분산분석) 하였다. 이러한 분석결과 본 연구에서는 다음과 같은 결론을 도출하였다. 첫째, 친수활동 이용도는 캠핑, 수상스키, 낚시, 수영, 래프팅 등의 순으로 조사되었다. 둘째, 친수활동 만족요소는 활동편이성, 수질, 수변경관, 교통접근 편의성, 기온 등의 순으로 조사되었다. 셋째, 친수지구 수질만족도는 관할기관에서 제시되는 수질등급과는 상관없이 대체로 만족하지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 환경부 수질측정망 데이터를 수질등급으로 비교결과 대체로 양호한 등급이 나타났고 특히 BOD항목 등은 계절별로 등급 빈도간의 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 다섯째, 수질관측망 자료를 계절별로 통계분석(일원배치 분산분석) 결과 DO를 제외한 COD, BOD, TP, TOC는 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었다. 이러한 연구 결과를 종합하여 볼 때 친수지구내의 수질개선에 대한 종합적 관리체계 마련과 친수활동이 높은 시기에 대해서는 수질개선 노력이 더 필요하며 향후 에는 친수지구의 수질예보 체계 마련이 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

수질오염이 산업용수에 미치는 영향 -경안천을 중심으로- (Effect of Water Pollution on the Irrigation Water - On the Kyungan Stream -)

  • The quality of water in Kyungan stream was analyzed in three different areas between season of irrigation on May and of nonirrigation on august in 1990. The results of Water quality from this study were summarized as follows: 1. The quality of water is season of irrigation containing metal ions, such as Cu and Zn as well as TN was exceeded standard levels of quality of agricultural water However, in season of nonirrigation, the quality of water in Kyungan stream was not suitable for using agricultural water due to over standard levels of containing ions of Cu and Zn or DO, COD and TN. 2. The correlation of water quality exception of pH was shown a reliance when p values were greater than 0.01 for containing ions such as Cu and Zn with the DO, COD and TN. 3. The comparison of water qualities for pH between season of irrigation and season of nonirrigation in Kyungan stream was a considerable significance property when p values were less than 0.05. The water quality containing ions of Cu and Zn with DO, COD, TN and SS also indicated a significant property when p values were less than 0.01. 4. The average water qualities of a year in three different areas for pH have shown a significant property when p values are less than 0.01. The average water qualities of a year containing DO have also shown a significant property having p values of less than 0.05. But other constituents have shown no significant property in the above three different areas.

Analysis of Nutrient Dynamics and Development of Model for Estimating Nutrient Loading from Paddy Field

  • To evaluate nutrient dynamics with different fertilization in paddy field and develop water quality model, mass balance analysis was performed during growing season of 2001-2002 in field experimental plots irrigated with groundwater. As a result of water balance analysis, most of outflow was surface drainage as about half of total outflow and about 500mm was lost by evapotranspiration. The water budget was well balanced. The runoff from paddy field was influenced by rainfall and forced drain. Especially runoff during early cultural periods more depends on the forced drain. As a result of mass balance analysis, most of nutrient was input by fertilization and lost by plant uptake. Significant amount of nitrogen were supplied by precipitation and input from upper paddy field, comprising 12%∼28% of total inflow. Nutrient loading by surface drainage was occurred showing about 15%∼29% for T-N and 6%∼13% for T-P. The response of rice yield with different fertilization was not significant in this study. Water quality model for paddy field developed using Dirac delta function and continuous source was calibrated and validated to surface water quality monitoring data. It demonstrates good agreement between observed and simulated. The nutrient concentration of surface water at paddy field was significantly influenced by fertilization. During early cultural periods when significant amount of fertilizer was applied, surface drainage from paddy field can cause serious water quality problem. Therefore, reducing surface drainage during fertilization period can reduce nutrient loading from paddy fields. Shallow irrigation, raising the weir height in diked rice fields, and minimizing forced surface drainage are suggested to reduce surface drainage outflow.

아산연안 수질환경의 특성과 장기변동 (Long-term Variation and Characteristics of Water Quality in the Asan Coastal Areas of Yellow Sea, Korea)

  • Long-term trends and distribution patterns of water quality were investigated in the Asan coastal areas of Yellow Sea, Korea from 1975 to 2005. Water samples were collected at 3 stations and physicochemical parameters were analyzed including water temperature, salinity, suspended solids(SS), chemical oxygen demand(COD), dissolved oxygen(DO) and nutrients. Spatial distribution patterns were not clear among stations but the seasonal variations were distinct except COD, SS and nitrate. The trend analysis by principal component analysis(PCA) during twenty years revealed the significant variations in water quality in the study area, Annual water qualities were clearly discriminated into 4 clusters by PCA; year cluster 1988-1991, 1994-1997, and 1992-1993/1998-2005. By this multi-variate analysis we can summarize the annual trends as the followings; salinity, suspended solids and dissolved oxygen tended to increase from late 1980's, increased pH and COD from 1992, and decreased salinity and increased nitrogen and COD from 1990 due to the runoff frow agricultural lands causing eutrophication.

북한강에 연속된 댐 구간 방류수와 하류 하천간 수질 관계 분석 연구 (A Study on the Water Quality Relationship between Continuous Dam Discharge and Downstream in North Han River)

  • North Han River is a very unique type of water system, where Hwacheon, Chuncheon, Soyanggang, Euiam and Cheongpyeong Dams are located consecutively. These dams are operated differently in the amount of discharge and release schedule according to their structure and purpose of use. They have different water quality characteristics depending on external pollutant inflow and internal mixing condition. Therefore, this study investigated the relationship between the upper dam and down stream river with respect to water quality indicators, such as water temperature, electrical conductivity, BOD, COD, TN and TP of the North Han River. The similarities and correlations representing the relationship were analyzed by Pearson's correlation r and t-test. The data was taken from the Ministry of Environment's water quality monitoring from 1999 to 2018. The results show that water temperature and electrical conductivity of the dam and river are similar and correlated. However, it turned out that there was no similarities and correlations in BOD, COD, TN and TP that are significantly affected by subaqueous reaction mechanism. The results of this study present the impact of the dam on the water quality of North Han River, which can be used as useful data for management of water quality.
