Off-road 엔진에서 WGT와 VGT장착에 따른 효율 및 특성 비교 (Compare Efficiency and Characteristics according to the WGT and VGT Application on the Off-road Engines)

  • The aim of this study is to compare the effectiveness of turbo chargers on engines for off-road use when combined with WGT and VGT technologies. The effectiveness of turbo chargers was measured and performance was compared using a functional model. Exhaust characteristics were compared using WGT and VGT technologies through a gas analyzer. Results showed VGT technology was more effective at high RPM compared to WGT technology. When it came to maximising turbo performance, VGT was more effective than WGT in every test. WGT and VGT produced similar exhaust NOx levels, whereas the VGT was more effective on the PM.

재생골재를 사용한 폴리머 콘크리트의 강도 특성 (Strength Properties of Polymer Concrete Using Recycled Aggregate)

  • This study was performed to evaluate the strength properties of polymer concrete using recycled aggre-gate. The compressive strength, splitting tensile strength, flexural strength and pulse velocity of polymer concrete were decreased with increasing the content of recycled aggregate. At the curing age of 7days, the compressive strength was $80.5\~88.3$ MPa, the splitting tensile strength was $9.1\~10.6$ MPa, the flexural strength was $19.2\~21.5$ MPa and the pulse velocity was $3,931\~4,041$ m/s, respectively. Also, the compressive strength, splitting tensile strength, flexural strength and pulse velocity of concrete using recycled fine aggregate were higher than that of the silica sand. Therefore, these recycled aggregate polymer concretes were estimated for high strength concrete without major problem.

  • Recently, the application of variable geometry turbocharger (VGT) to the high speed direct injection (HSDI) diesel engine has gained more and more interest in automotive industry. A steady state experimental investigation has been undertaken on a 1.5L HSDI diesel engine to verify the benefits of VGT comparing to the standard engine having a waste gate turbocharger (WGT). Specifically, part load performances (e.g., fuel economy and emission) have been investigated under various vane angles of the VGT. The results show that the real exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) rate as well as the pumping loss is very important to improve break specific fuel consumption (BSFC). It was previously known that the pumping loss only is a main parameter. In addition, the trade-off relationship between BSFC and NOx according to boost pressure, and the decreasing tendency of NOx with increasing real EGR rate have been verified. 1-D numerical analysis also has been performed, and the numerical results are in good agreement with experimental results.

시화호 및 주변 하천 표층 퇴적물의 중금속 분포 변화 (Change of Heavy Metals in the Surface Sediments of the Lake Shihwa and Its Tributaries)

  • In order to understand the distribution of changes of geochemical characteristics in surface sediments according to various environmental changes around the artificial Lake Shihwa, surface sediments were sampled at $13{\sim}15$ sites form 1997 to 1999 and analyzed by C/S analyzer, ICP/MS and AAS. The average $S/C_{org}$ ratio was 0.35 in the surface sediments, which is similar to 0.36, the characteristic ratio of marine sediments. Heavy metal contents and enrichment factors in the surface sediments tended to be decreasing from the head to the mouth of the Lake Shihwa. With the deposition of fine-grained sediments in the central part of lake, anoxic water column induced the sulfides compounds with Cu, Cd and Zn. Metals such as Al, Fe, Cr, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn and Cd except for Mn and Pb showed relatively high correlation coefficients among them. The contents of Cr, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn and Cd in the surface sediments of the lake were two to five times higher than those in the lake before dike construction and also in outer part of the dike. These are mainly due to the Input of untreated industrial and municipal waste-waters into the lake, and the accumulation of heavy metals by limitation of physical mixing. Although metal contents of the surface sediments at the sites near the water-gate due to outer seawater inflow tended to be lower than those during the desalination, heavy metals were deposited in areas around the new industrial complex in the evidence of spatial distribution of heavy metals in the sediments. This is mainly due to the input of untreated waste-waters from tributaries.

천공장치를 이용한 배수설비 연결관 시공 기술에 관한 연구 (A Study for Drainage Pipe Construction Method using a Boring Machine)

  • Ministry of Environment has been promoting BTL business of the sewer rehabilitation which continues from 2005 up to now. Sewer rehabilitation is classified into three parts : wastewater pipe rehabilitation, rainwater pipe rehabilitation and drainage equipment rehabilitation. Drainage equipment rehabilitation is that drainage pipe connects wastewater pipe directly without water-purifier. In the drainage equipment construction, it is inevitable to have the damage of ground structures(wall, gate and U drain, etc) when an open excavation method is used. Therefore it is necessary to develop non-excavation method to connect drainage pipe and wastewater pipe like jacking method to avoid the damage of ground structure. This paper has conducted an analysis of the non-excavation method using a boring machine attached to backhoe, which is issued the verification certificate of environmental technology according to the Development of and Support for Environmental Technology Act, article.7. The index set in this analysis was sectionalized to the condition of construction, the grade of drainage pipe, the size of excavated hole, the amount of waste cement concrete and asphalt concrete and the benefit effect compared to open excavation method.

하이브리드 굴삭기용 엔진의 효율 향상 방안에 관한 연구 (Study on the Improvement Methods of Engine Efficiency in Hybrid Excavator)

  • In this paper, a study based on engine operating conditions versus hybrid excavator engines was conducted about the engine performance and fuel consumption via the 1-D engine simulation model. First of all, engine operating points with performance and emission were determined by driving patterns. The 1-D HFEM(High Frequency Engine Model) was developed for deep insight into engine combustion and the energy conversion phenomena. In accordance with changing operating points, especially High Idle and Rated output conditions, engine parameters and systems such as turbocharger(Waste Gate Turbocharger and Variable Geometry Turbocharger) injection strategies and EGR(Exhaust Gas Recirculation) should be considered. Therefore, various configurations and parametric analysis with optimization methods in hybrid excavator were simulated and optimized by NLPQL(Non-linear Programming by Quadratic Lagrangian algorithm) in 1-D HFEM. As a result, the fuel consumption with the developed hybrid electric excavator engine could be significantly decreased and bsfc(Brake Specific Fuel Consumption) was also reduced about 5 % to 7 % without any performance degradation.

시화호의 수환경 진단과 수질회복 평가 (Diagnosis of Water Environment and Assessment of Water Quality Restoration in Lake Shihwa)

  • 서해안의 신도시 및 산업단지 근교에 위치한 인공 시화호에서 유입지천 부근의 상류쿠터 최하류의 수문부근까지 3~8개 지점에서 1994년~1999년에 걸쳐 수환경 오인을 매월 1~2회 조사하였다. 환경요인은 연평균 $COD_{Mn}$, 엽록소 $\alpha$, 총질소, 총인농도 및 투명도가 각각 5.2~15.1mg/L, $7.3~148.1\;\mu\textrm{g}$/L, 1.50~4.48 mgN/L, 0.055~0.281 mgP/L 및 0.5~1.4 m로서 중영양단계에서 과영양단계까지의 수질을 보였다. 시화호가 조성된 1994년부터 1997년 3월 이전까지의 수질은 외부 또는 내부의 저층으로부터 부하되는 오염물질이 지속적으로 호소내에 축적되어 극도로 악화되었다. 수질오염은 연중 식물플랑크톤이 대발생하는 생물학적 현상으로 뚜렷하게 나타났다. 반면에 1997년 3월부터 1999년까지는 다양한 수질개선대책의 시행으로 빠른 속도의 수질회복이 관찰되었고, 1999년의 수질은 담수화 초기의 수질로 회복된 것으로 조사되었다. 시화호의 수질회복은 1997년 7월부터 시행한 해수유통에 의해 가장 큰 효과를 보였고, 1997년 3월부터 운영한 반월공단 및 시화공장의 차집수로에 의한 유입부하량 저감으로 수질회복효과를 더욱 향상시킨 것으로 평가되었다.

Tier 4 Interim 배기규제 만족을 위한 56kW급 오프로드 차량 EGR 적용에 관한 연구 (Exhaust Gas Recirculation System Applied to 56 kW Off-Road Vehicle to Satisfy the Tier 4 Interim Emission Regulation)

  • 비도로용 차량의 경우 대부분 디젤엔진을 사용하여 엔진의 특성상 PM과 NOx의 배출이 많은 단점이 있다. 승용 및 상용 디젤 차량의 경우 CRDI 및 후처리 장치를 적용하였고 후처리 장치로 DOC/DPF를 장착함으로써 PM은 약 90% 이상 저감 가능하다. 상반관계인 NOx는 EGR 사용을 통해 1차적으로 NOx 배출량을 감소시키고 LNT, LNC, Urea-SCR 등의 DeNOx 시스템으로 NOx의 배출량을 보다 현저히 저감시켜 배기규제를 만족시키고 있다. 본 연구에서는 tier 4 interim 배기규제를 만족하기 위해 56kW급 오프로드 차량으로 연구를 진행하였다. NOx의 감소를 위해 WGT와 전자 제어방식의 HPL EGR 시스템을 적용하였고 CO와 THC, PM 배출가스를 줄이기 위해 DOC와 DPF를 사용하였다. EGR 시스템을 적용하기 위해 각 조건에 대한 기본 실험을 실시하여 EGR map을 작성하였다. 작성된 map을 NRTC 모드에서 시험하여 map의 적용성을 검증하고 tier 4 interim 배기규제 만족여부를 파악하였다.

준설토 일괄처리시스템을 위한 진공사이로 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study on Design of Vacuum Silo for Batch Treatment System for Dredged Soil)

  • 본 논문에서는 우수관로부터 발생되는 퇴적토의 준설처리를 위한 소형의 이동식 준설일괄처리 시스템을 제안하고, 특히 진공사이로와 1차 선별분리기 그리고 컨베이어를 일체화하는 진공사이로 선별분리장치를 설계하였다. 진공사이로 선별분리장치는 저장조, 이송 스크류, 진공 게이트, 스크린 바, 스크린 바 클리너, 진공배출장치로 구성된다. 특히 저장조 내에서 흡입공기의 흐름은 선별분리 성능의 주요 요소임을 고려하여 CFD 유동해석을 통해 최적형상을 도출하였다. 또한 CAE 구조해석을 통해 판재로 이루어지는 저장조의 안전성을 검토하였다. 그리고 3D-CAD 모델링을 통한 구동 메커니즘의 기구적, 역학적 시뮬레이션을 수행하여 사양을 결정하였다. 본 연구에 이어서, 드럼 스크린형 2차선별기, 데칸터형 탈수장치 그리고 보조장치인 오수탱크와 펌프 등을 설계할 것이다. 그리고 본 설계를 바탕으로 시제품을 제작하고 필드테스트를 수행할 것이다.
