Geopolymer concrete production is interesting as it is an alternative to portland cement concrete. However, workability, setting time and strength expectations limit the sustainable application of geopolymer concrete in practice. This study aims to improve the production of geopolymer concrete to mitigate these drawbacks. The improvement in the workability and setting time were achieved with the additional use of NaOH solution whereas an increase in the strength was gained with the addition of recycled steel fibers from waste tires. In addition, the use of 25% basalt powder instead of fly ash and the addition of recycled steel fibers from waste tires improved its environmental feature. The samples with steel fiber ratios ranging between 0.5% and 5% and basalt powder of 25%, 50% and 75% were tested under both compressive and flexure forces. The compressive and flexural capacities were significantly enhanced by utilizing recycled steel fibers from waste tires. However, decreases in these capacities were detected as the basalt powder ratio increased. In general, as the waste wire ratio increased, the compressive strength gradually increased. While the compressive strength of the reference sample was 26 MPa, when the wire ratio was 5%, the compressive strength increased up to 53 MPa. With the addition of 75% basalt powder, the compressive strength decreases by 60%, but when the 3% wire ratio is reached, the compressive strength is obtained as in the reference sample. In the sample group to which 25% basalt powder was added, the flexural strength increased by 97% when the waste wire addition rate was 5%. In addition, while the energy absorption capacity was 0.66 kN in the reference sample, it increased to 12.33 kN with the addition of 5% wire. The production phase revealed that basalt powder and waste steel wire had a significant impact on the workability and setting time. Furthermore, SEM analyses were performed.
In order to examine the P.H.C pile raw material using glass forming ceramic. The used materials is ordinary portland cement, waste TFT-LCD glass powder and reactive agent(Ca$(OH)_2$). The first experiment is characteristics analysis of the waste TFT-LCD glass powder, For the second experiment is mortar and concrete compressive strength for using of the concrete file raw material for waste TFT-LCD glass powder. The results of experiment showed that the substitution ratio of 10% waste TFT-LCD glass powder and 1% reactive agent(Ca$(OH)_2$) was excellent at a point of view for the physical characteristic. The study's most important finding is that the recycling of waste TFT-LCD glass powder.
This study is about the production and properties of waste concrete powder that recycling aggregate is crushed to the waste concrete. We researched the generation and the disposal of recycled concrete powder. It is chemica] and physical features that is compared and analysis according to its production system and repeated crushing of time. Recycled concrete powder is more generated wet process than drying process. In addition, the more it is repeated crushing of time, the more recycled concrete powder is generated. Recycled concrete powder is discovered that wet process is larger of the specific area, lower density and particle size.
Waste foundry sand of industrial waste which is happening by vast quantity according to fast development of industry has much the occurrence amount and processing method is depended on reclamation, and is using by fine aggregate for construction by recycling method among others. In this research Waste foundry sand powder into cement replace fare use possibility availability judge wish to Slump and air content decreased the replacement ratio increases by concrete special quality that do not harden according to experiment result, and unit capacity mass and bleeding increased the replacement ratio increases. Hardening concrete intensity special quality displayed strength improvement to replacement ratio 20%, and tendency that watertightness increases most in replacement ratio loft in watertight property appear. Considering the strength and watertight properties, the adequate usage of waste foundry sand powder is the 10% of replacement ratio.
Recently, by-products from concrete industry are generated in large quantities because of urban redevelopment. Accordingly, waste concrete powder(WCP) inevitably generated in the course of crushing, screening, and separating the waste concrete also show high emission and be increasing gradually, but which is mostly buried with waste concrete aggregate. This is a basic research to increase the value added utilization rate of WCP. We have examined strength characteristic of extruding panel with WCP, depending on the curing methods. The result of study shows similar strength to the base specimen in autoclave curing condition. And in autoclave curing condition, the specimen with WCP of 20% and 30% satisfy the target strength of 14MPa.
A policy for recycling waste concrete has been extensively studied, but it is still lacking to recycle and reuse as a cementitious powder, and the property has big different depending on the aggregate rates. In this study, the amount of cement powder according to the internal properties of the aggregate were mixed. From as a result, Concrete Powder to play inside the aggregate composition of the cement composition CaO rigs that causes loss of power and strength reduction due to rising real water cement ratio will affect large.
This study uses recycled green building materials based on a Taiwan-made recycled mineral admixture (including fly ash, slag, glass sand and rubber powder) as replacements for fine aggregates in concrete and tests the properties of the resulting mixtures. Fine aggregate contents of 5% and 10% were replaced by waste LCD glass sand and waste tire rubber powder, respectively. According to ACI concrete-mixture design, the above materials were mixed into lightweight aggregate concrete at a constant water-to-binder ratio (W/B = 0.4). Hardening (mechanical), non-destructive and durability tests were then performed at curing ages of 7, 28, 56 and 91 days and the engineering properties were studied. The results of these experiments showed that, although they vary with the type of recycling green building material added, the slumps of these admixtures meet design requirements. Lightweight aggregate yields better hardened properties than normal-weight concrete, indicating that green building materials can be successfully applied in lightweight aggregate concrete, enabling an increase in the use of green building materials, the improved utilization of waste resources, and environmental protection. In addition to representing an important part of a "sustainable cycle of development", green building materials represent a beneficial reutilization of waste resources.
