Recently, the whole world is concerned about the saving energy and protective environment, so interest is increasing in new and renewable energy. Specially the Bioenergy continuity is possible, the research is advanced by the energy which it contributes in environmental conservation. From the research which it sees consequently it investigates about co-generation system of domestic bio-energy, it is used to analyze the electricity and heat energy of buildings that Energy Consumption Survey of Korea Energy Management Corporation and food waste generation quantity of Ministry of Environment. This paper is analyzed that application of food waste Biogas plant system.

The purpose of this research is to explore both on-site manager's and resident's assessment of the Automated Vacuum Waste Collection System (AVWCS) in suburban apartment complexes. In doing so, a self-administered questionnaire survey was conducted in 10 districts and their 11 apartment complexes in the Seoul Metropolitan Area. The main findings can be summarized as follows: the managers considered the AVWCS to be economically efficient and environmentally fiendly, and suggested that the system be managed in a more professional way, with an advanced technology and by more qualified technicians. The recommendation was related to residents' complaints and frequent mechanical failures frequently occurring in waste inlets and waste transport piping of the system. For residents using the system, the system was satisfactory, and should be necessarily improved with more user-friendly features. Further, most comments made by the residents were relevant to waste inlets such as safety, cleanliness, prompt repair, odor reduction, waste separation. It's of significant to train residents with how to properly use the system, which is expected to substantially fall a number of residents' complaints. Therefore, both professional management of AVWCS and regular workshops on how to utilize it are crucial in order to heighten its strengths.

This study gives a conceptual and basic direction to develop a URL (underground research laboratory) program for establishing the performance and safety of a deep geological disposal system in Korea. The concept of deep geological disposal is one of the preferred methodologies for the final disposal of spent nuclear fuel (SNF). Advanced countries with radioactive waste disposal have developed their own disposal concepts reasonable to their social and environmental conditions and applied to their commercial projects. Deep geological disposal system is a multi-barrier system generally consisting of an engineered barrier and natural barrier. A disposal facility and its host environment can be relied on a necessary containment and isolation over timescales envisaged as several to tens of thousands of years. A disposal system is not allowed in the commercial stage of the disposal program without a validation and demonstration of the performance and safety of the system. All issues confirming performance and safety of a disposal system include investigation, analysis, assessment, design, construction, operation and closure from planning to closure of the deep geological repository. Advanced countries perform RD&D (research, development & demonstration) programs to validate the performance and safety of a disposal system using a URL facility located at the preferred rock area within their own territories. The results and processes from the URL program contribute to construct technical criteria and guidelines for site selection as well as suitability and safety assessment of the final disposal site. Furthermore, the URL program also plays a decisive role in promoting scientific understanding of the deep geological disposal system for stakeholders, such as the public, regulator, and experts.
In this study, the results of PBDEs and HBCDs of the products and waste that contain BFRs such as domestic electronic products, automobiles and textile products were compared with international management standards, and their excess rates were calculated. Deca-BDE was detected among the PBDEs in TV rear cover plastics, car seats, automotive interior plastics, and automobile shredding residues of products and waste containing BFRs. The comparison with Basel Convention management standards (1,000 mg/kg) for PBDE-containing wastes (4 types in total) shows that the excess rate of all samples was less than 1.5%. The estimated excess rate compared to the EU and Basel convention management standards (1,000 mg/kg) for PBDEs (4 species + deca-BDE) and TV rear cover plastics was 37.5% (30 of 80 samples exceeded the standards). The estimated excess rate compared to the Basel convention management standards (1,000 mg/kg) for HBCD, building materials products and waste was 15.7% (17 of 108 samples exceeded the standards). In the case of PBDEs, it is necessary to remove only the rear cover of CRT TV among the electric and electronic products and treat it in the flame retardant treatment facility to improve the recycling collection system. In the case of HBCD, it is necessary to appropriately dispose of the recycled materials, heat insulation materials, TV plastics, and styrofoam in marine fishery among construction materials and restrict the use as recycled raw materials.

Now, in a domestic country, the rebuilding and redevelopment of existing houses has been rapidly increasing with an economic growth and the improvement of living condition. The percentage of C&D waste among generating waste in domestic is more and more increasing. Accordingly, Our government or company are doing much effort to decrease the C&D waste. But now, we can not find any results about system development for estimating and managing rightly the C&D waste quantity. Now, much social cost are increasing for reason of the institutional inertia for forecasting quantity of C&D waste. Therefore, This study suggest some methods be able to estimate it of apartment easily. The methods are composed with utilization of a basic unit, a CAD drawing and a 3D object. Each module can be also used individually according to the purpose of a user.

In order to respond to interest and regulations in sustainable environment which is increasing, construction industry needs to establish a sustainable production system. When generation of wastes can be diminished and recycling of them raised in the construction site as a part of a sustainable production system, it might contribute to not only establishing a sustainable production system but also gaining economical profit. This study is a preliminary research for establishing a sustainable production system, which aims to identify construction waste generation patterns and factors causing construction waste generation. Case studies were implemented to investigate these patterns and factors.

The Wolsong Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) operates an on-site spent fuel dry storage facility using concrete silo and vertical module systems. This facility must be safely maintained until the spent nuclear fuel (SNF) is transferred to an external interim or final disposal facility, aligning with national policies on spent nuclear fuel management. The concrete silo system, operational since 1992, requires an aging management review for its long-term operation and potential license renewal. This involves comparing aging management programs of different dry storage systems against the U.S. NRC's guidelines for license renewal of spent nuclear fuel dry storage facilities and the U.S. DOE's program for long-term storage. Based on this comparison, a specific aging management program for the silo system was developed. Furthermore, the facility's current practices-periodic checks of surface dose rate, contamination, weld integrity, leakage, surface and groundwater, cumulative dose, and concrete structure-were evaluated for their suitability in managing the silo system's aging. Based on this review, several improvements were proposed.

In this study, we developed an IoT-based management system to manage a can/PET crusher. Various sensors such as two load cells, DHT22 temperature and humidity sensor, and fine dust meter were interfaced with ESP32 to construct an IoT device, and a management server was built using Node-RED. The system monitors the weight of pressed cans and shredded PET bottles in real time and sends a text message to the manager when the weight exceeds the predetermined threshold for timely collection. The results of the operational test confirmed that the system provides accurate monitoring and efficient notification functions, and offers the possibility of solving environmental problems by improving the efficiency of waste management such as cans and PET bottles.

This paper introduces the policy and regulations on very low level waste (VLLW) management in China. Given the important decommissioning and site restoration program of the old facility, it is considered necessary to create a new disposal facility dedicated to VLLW. Many general design principles are in common with to the disposal facility for low and intermediate level waste (LILW), namely the isolation of the waste by means of a multibarrier system, but using bentonite and/or high density polyethylene membranes instead of the generalized use of concrete barriers. The design of the facility is consistent with the design of disposal facilities for hazardous waste. The engineering design of two VLLW disposal facilities is introduced.
In this study, waste heat of Jeju City Waste Environment Center is investigated and the utilization method is suggested with economical analysis of additional investment that needed for new facility. Energy balance of the typical facilities is considered in this study such as incineration plant and LFG power plant. The payback period of the investment which is used for the LFG power plant waste heat utilization facility is about 2.4 years and the economic profit of the facility during 10 years operation is up to 926 million won.
