성인의 손씻기 실태 및 손씻기 포스터의 효과 (The Effect of Hand Washing Procedure Poster on the Hand Washing Behaviors)

  • 본 연구는 2015년 메르스 사태 후 성인의 손씻기 실태 및 손씻기 포스터의 효과를 파악하기 위하여 공공 화장실을 이용하는 성인 370명( 포스터 미부착 185명, 포스터 부착 185명)을 대상으로 직접 관찰 및 설문조사를 실시하였다. 남성의 46%, 여성의 21.5%가 손씻기를 하지 않았으며, 포스터를 부착한 집단에서 손을 씻은 대상자는 83.2%로 포스터를 부착하지 않은 집단에서 손을 씻은 대상자 47%에 비해 많았다. 남성은 평균 7.6초 동안, 여성은 13.5초 동안 손을 씻어 여성이 더 오랫동안 손을 씻었으며, 포스터 부착군과 미부착군 간에 유의한 차이는 없었다. 손씻기의 6가지 절차를 다 실천한 대상자는 3.3%에 불과하였다. 손씻기 6가지 절차 중 4가지 이상을 수행한 대상자는 포스터 부착군 17%, 미부착군 10.3%이었다. 이상의 결과에서 손씻기 포스터는 손씻기 행위 자체에는 유의한 효과가 있었으나 올바른 방법으로 손씻기를 하는데, 즉 손씻는 시간 증진과 손씻기 절차 이행율 향상에는 효과적이지 못하였다. 그러므로 공공장소 화장실에 손씻기 안내방송과 시각적인 효과를 높일 수 있는 포스터의 보급이 필요하다.

성별 및 연령별 손 위생관리의 비교 (Gender and Age Differences in Hand Hygiene Practices among the General Population)

  • Objective: This study was performed to evaluate gender and age differences in hygienic behavior among the general population, focusing on hand-washing habits and the microbial load of hands. Methods: A self-administered questionnaire survey and a separate microbial examination were performed. The Pearson's correlation between hand-washing habits and microbial load was analyzed. Results: In the questionnaire survey on hand-washing habits, gender differences were found in hand-washing frequency, use of hand-washing agents, and hand drying methods (p<0.05). Age differences were found in numbers of washing parts of the hands and also in hand drying methods (p<0.05). Females showed better habits washing hands than did males, as did older people compared to younger. In the microbial examination of indicator bacteria on their hands, younger people tended to show a higher load of total aerobic bacteria than did the older, and females showed a higher load of total coliforms than did males (p<0.05). There were significant relationships between the load of total aerobic bacteria and hand-washing frequency, duration, and method of turning-off water (p<0.05). Conclusions: Although females were expected to show a better practice of hand-washing than were males based on the survey results, they showed a higher level of total coliforms in the hand examination. The older age group showed better hand-washing habits than did the younger age group and had less total aerobic bacteria on their hands. These inter-gender and age differences highlight the need for development and implementation of gender-and age-specific educational programs or campaigns.

흐르는 세제혼합액막에 의한 화학적 세척 메커니즘에 대한 연구 (A Study on Chemical Washing Mechanism by Flowing Film of Detergent/Water Solution)

  • This study aims to propose evaluation methods of chemical washing performance and estimate the washing capability by flowing detergent/water solution for application to home appliances such as dishwashers. Standard pollutant is stearic acid. A numerical study is also tried using a SIMPLER code. Preliminary experiments are performed by varying the concentration and temperature of the solution. From the pre-experiments, 10 minute pre-curing time is found to be necessary to remove the stearic acid. Stoichiometric ratio and detergent consumption coefficient of reaction between the detergent and stearic are estimated following a proposed method. Washing experiments of pollutant to compare with the numerical results are performed. The relative errors between the experimental and the numerical results with pre-curing time included are less than 7%. In conclusion, important mechanisms of chemical washing are revealed and methods of predicting washing performance are well established.

  • Recently drum washing machines are required to improve not only functions, but also endurance security. The spider is one of the major parts in a drum washing machine as a power transmission device. It is needed estimating for fatigue life because it rotates at high velocity when the drum washing machine works. In this study, we tried to estimate fatigue life of the Spider with CAE and verified the accuracy by comparing the CAE results with the experimental results. The estimation method of fatigue life for the spider with CAE will be applied to raise the efficiency of time and money in the design process of a new drum washing machine.

Solvent Washing Dry Method for Aqueous Tape Casting

  • For the fast dry of the aqueous tape, the process which water was replaced by organic solvent was proposed. Socalled, it was the solvent washing dry. Three organic solvents (methanol, ethanol and acetone) were selected for the washing solvent. The weight loss of the washed tapes was measured to evaluate the dry rate of the tapes and dried tapes were examined the generation of the cracks with the variations of the organic solvent and the washing time. Methanol, ethanol and acetone were available organic solvents for this method. The tapes washed in methanol, ethanol and acetone were dried rapidly for twenty minutes. After thirty minutes, the weight losses were not found any more. The solvent of the lower surface tension can decreases the crack of dried tape. If solvent substitutes water completely, though it was fast dried, crack can be eliminated.

  • Accurate prediction of the radiated noise is important to reduce the noise of the washing machine. It is also necessary to predict the excitation force accurately because excitation force can induce noise. In order to predict the excitation force acting on the washing machine, this paper conducts source identification method by use of phase reference spectrum. In this method, the transfer function between the cabinet and the motor through FEM and the measured response from the surface of the cabinet is used. The analysis of the radiation noise from the identified exciting force has been investigated. The comparison between the predicted SPL and the measured SPL at 1m apart from the front side of the washing machine showed good tendency.

  • Process sequence design in sheet metal forming process by the finite element method is investigated. The forming of sheet metal into a washing machine container is used to demonstrate the design of an improved process sequence which has fewer operations. The design procedure makes extensive use of the finite element method which has simulation capabilities of elastic-plastic modeling. A one-stage process to make an initial blank to the final product is simulated to obtain information on metal flow requirements. Loading simulation for a conventional method is also performed to evaluate the design criteria which are uniform thickness distribution around the finished part and maximum punch load within limit of available press capacity. The newly designed sequence has two forming operations and can achieve net-shape manufacturing, while the conventional process sequence has three forming operations. This specific case conventional process sequence has three forming operations. This specific case can be considered for application of the method and for development of the sequence design methodology in general.

선식용 곡류원료의 위해미생물 제거를 위한 세척방법에 따른 효과 (Analysis of Harmful Microorganisms in Raw Cereal Materials and Processing Environment for Sunsik)

  • 선식에 사용되는 곡류의 종류도 다양하고 오염미생물의 종류도 다양하여 곡류는 크기 모양 등을 고려하여 검정콩, 찹쌀, 수수의 3종류를 대상으로 피검균은 대장균을 인위적으로 오염시켜 세척조건에 따른 효과를 조사하였다. 초기 원료에 비해 세척횟수를 증가하여도 세척에 의한 오염균 감소효과는 없는 것으로 나타났다. 세척수량도 원료대비 200%의 경우가 오염균 감소에 약간 영향을 미치었으나 큰 효과는 나타나지 않았다. 세척 수 온도를 찬물이 아닌 $40^{\circ}C$의 물로 세척 시 1 log 이상의 오염균 감소효과를 보았다. 세척방법 시 염수를 첨가한 세척수의 사용 시 5% 정도가 적당하였으며 염수 처리 시 2 log 내지 3 log 정도의 감소효과를 관찰 하였다. 그러나 염류의 사용은 짠맛을 최종제품에 주게 되므로 염류를 제거하기 위한 세척공정이 추가로 필요하게 되며 완전한 염류의 제거를 위해서는 많은 양의 세척수량이 추가로 필요하게 된다.

교정치과에서의 손 위생과 건강신념간의 융합 연구 (The Association between Hand washing and Health Belief on Convergence Study in Orthodontic clinics)

  • 치과진료 환경은 병원 미생물에 쉽게 노출되어 종사자의 감염 위험성은 매우 높다. 그중 손은 감염의 중요한 매개가 되므로 손위생은 감염 위험성을 낮추기 위한 가장 중요하고 기본적인 방법이다. 이에 치과진료 과목을 세분화하여 교정치과 진료실의 손위생과 건강신념간의 관련성을 연구하였다. 손위생과 건강신념간의 차이 분석 결과 손 위생 관리 중요도와 손 위생 교육 경험은 유의한 관계를 보였다(p=0.010)(p=0.000). 건강신념에 영향을 미치는 요인 분석 결과 손 위생 관리 중요도(p=0.014), 손 위생 교육 경험(p=0.010)은 유의하게 영향을 미치는 요인이었다. 치과 감염에 대한 관심이 증대되면서 기본적인 방법인 손 씻기의 중요성이 더욱 높아질 것을 예상 할 때 감염관리 교육은 건강신념을 확립하는데 높은 관련성이 있을 것이라 사료된다.
