비소와 철 동시제거를 위한 Fe-GAC와 GAC로 충진된 컬럼 (Column filled with Fe-GAC and GAC to remove both As(V) and Fe(III))

  • First of all, Fe or/and Mn immobilized granular activated carbons (Fe-GAC, Mn-GAC, (Fe, Mn)-GAC) were synthesized and tested to remove arsenate (As(V)). The results in batch test indicated that Fe-GAC removed As(V) effectively, even though the surface area of Fe-GAC was reduced largely. Moreover, adsorption isotherm test indicated that the experimental data fit well with Langmuir model and the maximum adsorption capacity ($q_{max}$) of Fe-GAC for As(V) was $3.49mg\;g^{-1}$, which was higher than GAC ($2.24mg\;g^{-1}$). In column test, the simulated water, which consisted of As(V), Fe(III), Mn(II) and Ca(II) in tap water, was used. Fe-GAC column with 1 hr of pre-washing time treated As(V) effectively while GAC column removed Fe(III) better than Fe-GAC column. Moreover, the increasing pre-washing time from 1 to 9 hour in Fe-GAC column enhanced Fe(III) removal with little negative impact of As(V) removal. Mostly, the column filled with Fe-GAC and GAC (i.e. the mass ratio of Fe-GAC:GAC = 2:8) showed the higher treatability of both As(V) and Fe(III), even it operated with 1 hr pre-washing time.

  • Soils collected from an agricultural field in Youngdong, Chungbuk province were intentionally: contaminated with lead and copper. The efficiencies of soil washing with HCl, SDS and Tween 80 were investigated through the column mode experiments. Washing with 0.1 N HCl obtained the best result for lead and copper removal (95.04 %, 95.94 %). In case of SDS, lead and copper removal rate was such poor as 7.1 % and copper was 24.04 %, respectively. Meanwhile, washing of contaminated soil with Tween 80, did not show any significant removal effect. It was found that the washing efficiency was dependent on pH of washing agent.

  • Several chemical washing procedures were applied to Parathion and Diazinon contaminated soil. Batch and column tests were performed to determine the insecticides extraction efficiency as a function of pH. Washing efficiency of methanol is more higher than that of water and HCl when washed parathion and diazinon are. Those are completely miscible with most organic solvents. For parathion, release trend is increased as pH is increased because it is hydrolyzed easily at the condition of alkali. But diazinon shows reverse because diazinon is decomposed rapidly at the condition of acidic So, diazinon is more released than parathion is because this experiment is peformed in acidic and weak acidic conditions. Generally, parathion and diazinon are classified as having low mobility, so they can be easily controlled if the proper washing process are applied.

고정화 효소를 이용한 명태고기풀 수세액으로부터 Peptide 생산에 관한 연구 (Peptide Production from the Washing Liquid of the Fish Paste of Alaska pollak (Theragria chalcogramma) by Immobilized Enzyme)

  • 명태 (Alask pollack, Theragia chalcogramma) 고기풀 수세액 중의 단백질 활용방안으로 기능성 peptide생산을 위해 고정화 protease를 이용한 생물반응기에서 가수분해하여 gel 여과후 정제 peptide의 특성 및 아미노산 존재 여부를 파악하기 위해 실험한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. $0.5\%$ 농도의 고기를 수세액을 반응온도 $50^{\circ}C$에서 24시간 가수분해 하였을 때 분해율은 $50\%$ (OPA법)였다. 2. Sephadex G-50 column chromatography에 의한 고기풀 수세 액과 조peptide의 분자량은 각각 $10,000\~50,000Da$과, $600\~12,000Da$의 광범위한 분포를 나타내었다. 3. SP-Sephadex C-25 $(H^+)$ column chromatography에서 식염농도 $0\~3\%$의 농도구배에서 $0.6\~0.9\%\;NaCl$, pH 2 범위에서 염기성이 약한 아미노산을 함유하였고, $1.2\~2.0\%$에서는 염기성이 강한 아미노산을 함유하는 peptide가 용출되었다. 4. SP-Sephadex C-25 ($(H^+)$ column chromatography에서 분획한 SP-분획을 Sephadex G-50 colum chromatography에서 peptide의 분자량 측정 결과는 대게 저분자로 분자량 1,000Da에서 3,000Da 범위였고, SP-4>SP-3>SP-2>SP-1의 순으로 분자량 분포를 나타내었다. 5. 정제 peptide의 아미노산 조성은 수세 peptide에서 glycine, arginine이 가장 많이 함유하였으며 그외 glutamic acid, alanine, aspartic aicd 등이였고, SP-분획 peptide는 수세 peptide와 대동소이하였으나 SP-2에서 glycine이 $33\%$로 가장 높았다.

  • The removal efficiency of several washing agents on the $Cs^+$ ion was investigated. Leaching of $Cs^+$ ion from the soil surface by washing agents is affected by the exchange capability of the washing solution. Reuse tests of the effective soil washing agents such as $BaCl_2$, NaOH, citric acid+ $HNO_3$ and oxalic acid were performed. NaOH, citric acid + $HNO_3$ and oxalic acid solutions can be reused after passing through the ion exchange column. Among the tested solutions, both of citric acid+ $HNO_3$ and oxalic acid were effective for the decontamination of TRIGA research reactor soil. The radioactivity of soils can be reduced to a release level by the successive application.

유류고형화제에 의한 유함유 폐수 중의 유류 제거 공정 개발 (Development of Oil Separation Process from Oily Waste Water Using Oil Gelling Agent)

  • For the purpose of developing a new process f3r the elimination of oil components from oily waste water, experimental researches using oil gelling agent were performed. The process is composed of three units, that is, decantator, gelling column and adsorption column. 10g of gelling agent in the gelling column could effectively absorb 15.65g of oil from ship washing waste water and 16.93g of oil from steel industry waste water. COD in waste waters dramatically diminished not in the gelling column but in the adsorption column. The .gelling is hindered by other organic components in waste water, and the optimum space time f3r the gelling column Is 20min. 1g of gelling agent absorbed 3.7-4.0g of oil from waste waters with 25 min in the batch operation.

  • 상업규모의 온실가스 저감 기술 중 대표적인 기술 중 하나인 연소 후 습식아민 $CO_2$포집 기술에서 기술의 개발에 중점을 두고 있는 부분이 운영비의 개선 부분이다. 습식아민 $CO_2$ 포집기술에서 사용되는 아민은 대체로 고가의 아민을 사용한다. 고가의 아민을 사용하기 때문에 설비 운영 중 발생하는 흡수제의 손실이 운영비에 영향을 미칠 수 있고 설비의 용량이 커질 수록 운영비는 더욱 커지게 된다. 본 연구에서는 150MW급 석탄화력발전소 배기가스에 아민흡수법 CCS기술을 적용 할 경우 흡수제의 손실이 설비 운영비에 미치는 영향과 물 세정 타워의 설계가 흡수제 손실 절감에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 살펴 보았다.

Effect of Spinal Cord Removal before or after Splitting and Washing on CNST Decontamination of Beef Carcasses

  • Beef carcasses were examined to explore the effects of spinal cord removal and washing on central nervous system tissue (CNST) decontamination of the surface during the slaughtering process. A total of 15 carcasses were split by sawing centrally down the vertebral column and left sides of split carcasses were used for analysis. Samples were collected by swabbing the surface from 4 defined parts on the interior and 4 on the exterior of carcasses from the abattoir and analyzed using an ELISA-based test. The results showed that automatic and manual spray washing decreased CNST contamination, especially on the interior ventral parts of carcass surfaces (p<0.01), but did not decrease CNST on the interior dorsal parts. Increasing washing time to 60 s did not affect the reduction of CNST contamination. Samples following spinal cord removal prior to splitting showed lower calculated levels of "risk material" than the stated limit of detection (0.1%) of the ELISA kit on interior and exterior carcass parts (p<0.01). Therefore, spinal cord removal prior to splitting could be a very effective way to minimize CNST contamination of beef carcasses.

On-line Trace Enrichment for the Determination of Insulin in Biological Samples Using Reversed-Phase High Performance Liquid Chromatography with Column Switching

  • Column--swtiching technique with a reversed-phase high performance liquid chromatographic method has been developed for the routine analysis of radioiodinated insulin and its degadation products in biological fluids. The diluted biological samples were loaded onto a precolumn packed with LiChrosorb RP-8 $(25-40{\;}{\mu}m)$ using 0.1% trifuoroacetic acid (TFA) in water as a washing solvent. After valve switching, the concentrated insulins were eluted in the back-flush mode and separated by a W-Porex $C_{18}$ column with a gradient of 0.1% TFA in water and 0.1% TFA in acetonitrile as the mobile phase. The method showed good precision, accuracy and speed with the detection limit of 20 pg/ml. Total analysis time per sample was about 40 min and the coefficients of variation were less than 8, 2%.

세척을 통한 중금속(Cd, Zn)으로 오염된 토양의 정화 (Remediation of Heavy Metal Contaminated Soil by Washing Process)

  • 본 연구는 중금속(Zn, Cd)으로 오염된 토양을 여러 세척 용제(물, mineral acid, chelating agent, organic acld)를 가지고 탈착시켜 제거하는 실험으로 pH와 농도에 따라 회분식과 연속식 실험을 병행하였다. 물과 NaOH에 의한 세척 효과는 거의 없는 것으로 나타났으며 HCI, EDTA, Oxalic acid에 의한 세척 효과는 매우 높게 나타났다. HCI에 의한 세척효과가 가장 높은 이유는 낮은 pH에 의한 중금속의 이온화 현상에 의한 것으로 사료되며 EDTA, Oxalic acid의 효과가 높은 것은 용해도를 증가시켜 중금속 이온과 많은 착물을 형성하기 때문이다. 또한 Zn이 Cd보다 대체적으로 탈착율이 좋았으며 일반적으로 제거 경향은 pH가 낮을수록, 세척 용제의 농도가 높을수록 탈착율이 증가하였다. 중금속으로 오염된 토양 복원시 Zn의 세척 용제로는 HCI 과 EDTA를, Cd의 세척 용제로는 HCI과 Oxalic acid를 가지고 세척을 함으로써 효과적으로 정화되는 것을 알 수 있었다.
