This study aimed to review the influence of the World War I & II on the beauty culture which include toilette practices, cosmetic products and health habits. Literary materials were gathered and analyzed from books, journals and thesis concerning cosmetics, fashion and background history. Results are as follows: 1. Women's appearance gained social and official approval of its psychological and practical effect during the two wars and was regarded as an important strategy for the war. 2. The chemical industry helped to set forth an aggressive make up industry. 3. The orthopedic technique,1 of the war period resulted in the advancement of the plastic surgery business in the after war world. 4. After the First World War, the newly-risen American bourgeoisies' desire to show off their leisure activities provided from their wealth popularized suntan fast. 5. Strong, vital womanly beauty had been demanded in accordance with women's positive social Participation during the Second World War.

Purpose of the War history's study is getting instruction by analyzing victory and defeat factor. This study is studied by qualitative form in war study mainly. In case recording literature is full, victory and defeat factor analysis is easy, but occasionally definite analysis that recording literature is feeble is difficult. Also, when it is battle result that escape common sense, about victory and defeat factor, various estimations are brought. As such example, there is Myeong-Ryang sea-battle at Japanese Invasion of Korea in 1592 and Korea(Cho-Sun) naval forces did big victory in 13 vs. 133 numerical inferiorities. This study presented method of study that using agent based simulation model for quantitative analysis of these victory and defeat factor.

In 1607 a delegation was dispatched from Chosun to Japan (under the condition that prisoners of war were returned) to restore the destroyed relationship between the nations due to a war and to restore economic profits. This delegation later on became a delegation representing faith in each other. It contributed greatly to the Korea-Japan cultural exchanges in the 17th and 18th centuries. It was also a cornerstone for the exchange of Korea's distinguished studies as well as medical technology and Japan's results of international trade such as sweet potatoes, pepper, and tobacco. This thesis is one that discusses the study of documents produced during this process.

고구려와 수나라의 제 l차 전쟁은 정사의 기록이 부실하여 추측과 논쟁이 난무하는 상태이다. 이에 관한 작금의 기록을 수집하고 분석하여 다음 네 가지의 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 장마가 전투에 가장 큰 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 정사의 기록과는 달리, 전쟁은 장마만으로 인해 종료된 것이 아니고 두 군대의 접전이 있었다. 셋째, 이 전쟁은 임유관을 주무대로 전개되었다. 넷째, 당시 고구려 군은 우연히 장마의 혜택을 입은 것이 아니라, 계획적으로 장마를 전투에 이용하여 대승을 거두었다. 다섯째, 이 전쟁의 지휘관이 강이식이었는지에 관해서는 여러 가지 기록에도 불구하고 의문의 여지가 남아 있다.

체첸 민족의 역사는 외세의 연이은 침략에 대한 항쟁으로 점철된다. 특히나, 러시아와 체첸간의 갈등은 약 200여 년 동안이나 지속되어 현재까지도 해결되지 않는 문제로 남아있다. 양국은 체첸이 독자적으로 독립을 선언하면서 관계가 악화되어 전쟁으로까지 발전했는데, 이 때 러시아와 다른 체첸의 종교, 즉 이슬람이 체첸인들을 결집하게 한 원동력이 되었다. 즉, 이슬람의 신앙심과 수피 이슬람의 형제애가 체첸 민족주의와 결합하여 대(對)러시아 항쟁에 큰 역할을 한 것이다. 본 논문에서는 체첸-러시아 분쟁에 대한 근본적인 이해를 돕기 위해 체첸 민족 문화와 정체성, 체첸-러시아 갈등의 역사, 체첸 민족의 이슬람화 과정과 체첸 민족의 저항정신의 구심점인 수피 이슬람 세력의 대러시아 투쟁 과정을 중심으로 고찰해보고자 한다.

This study attempted to identify the ethical principles of nurses who realized care in the war field with a nurse's unique professional spirit, and to explore a more specialized and subdivided concept of ethical nursing in the future. War has occurred frequently in history, and the outcome has always been tragic. There are always different opinions about what it means to discuss the ethics of these wars. Despite these controversies, the ethics of nursing, which always takes care of the sick at the scene of war, is interpreted regardless of war. The ethical spirit of nursing is to respect life and take care of those who need help. Whether the person asking for help is a soldier or a civilian, it doesn't matter where it is or what the purpose of the war is. Nursing practiced nursing based on the principle of bioethics for all, even in war scenes where there was no ethical reference point. This study explains that it is necessary to inherit the spirit of nursing, which practiced ethical care even in such cruel scenes of the past, and to protect the ethical fundamental spirit of nursing even in the changing environment in the future society.

This article examines the historical view of Benito $P{\acute{e}}rez$ $Gald{\acute{o}}s$ in his historical novel named "Zaragoza" and "$C{\acute{a}}novas$" by comparing with Numancia of Cervantes. In front of the national survival crisis, $Gald{\acute{o}}s$ recognizes that it is necessary that Spain should recover humanity and morality on basis of the krausist ideal. The krausists warned subjective idealism, stressing on free-will and moral conscience in a harmonious balance of rationality. Without refusing patriotism, they warned egoistic patriotism deformed by national selfishness or nationalism. Giner de los Ríos insisted on a necessity of harmonizing national inclination and universal one. $Gald{\acute{o}}s$ emphasizes that the identity of Spain is not possession of privileged class but sweat and tears of the mass of people in daily life. He represents Efemera as the ideal history on the basis of Unamuno's 'intrahistoria', by which, instead of $Luk{\acute{a}}cs^{\prime}$ progressive history, we can peep into a historical poetics of human free nature and vividness of discontinuous and endless shifting. According to the sub-history, we come to the conclusion that $Gald{\acute{o}}s$ and Cervantes would lay emphasis on sub-history, aiming to essence of Spanish soul originated from national landscape and people's daily life.

The food life of Korean people during the establishment of Republic of Korea and the Korean war was reviewed. After liberation in 1945, the division of South and North Korea, the establishment of the governments, and the ensuing Korean War made Korean society extremely chaotic and transformed. Consequently, data on Korean dietary life during this period (1945-1960) are scarce and unreliable. The author tried to reveal the food situation and health and nutritional status of Koreans during this period by examining the data released by the US National Archives and other review books. Regarding the nascent period of the food industry after the Korean War, data from the recent 50-year history of the Korea Food Industry Association has been compiled.

"역사는 거울"이라는 말은 반복되는 역사적 사실을 통해 우리는 적을 대비해야 한다는 뜻이다. 현재 우리는 북한의 핵과 미사일을 포함하는 각종 도발에 직면해 있다. 우리가 북한을 주적으로 설정하고 국민의 생명과 재산을 보전하기 위해서는 우리 군은 적의 위협에 항상 철저히 준비되어야 한다. 6.25 전쟁 전투사례를 보면 준비된 적과 무방비 상태의 국군 간에 벌어진 전쟁으로 요약할 수 있다. 북한군은 해방 이후 치밀한 계획 하에 중공군을 편입시키고 소련군 군사고문단 지원 하에 전투 장비를 배치하여 군단 급 훈련까지 마친 상태에 비해, 당시 국군은 대대급 훈련도 마무리 못한 상태였다. 전 평시 군사보안을 위해 나의 정보는 숨기고 적은 찾아서 대비해야 한다. 북한군은 전쟁을 준비하면서 치밀하게 국군의 편성과 배치, 그리고 운용사항에 대한 정보를 수집했으나 국군은 이에 대비하지 못해 초전에 고전을 면치 못했다. 이에 본고에서는 6.25 전쟁 초기, 개성일대 전투사례를 중심으로 군사보안의 교훈과 그 중요성을 제시하고자 한다.

This study aims to clarify a history and its external conditions of collegiate education of architecture in Korea from 1945 to 1961. To reveal the process of formation of architectural education of this period, my analysis is chiefly concerned with the organization and of its curriculum in terms of policies of Ministery of Education, especially focused in case of Dept. of Architecture in Seoul National University, I attempted to describe the complex interactions between the structural conditions and results within and without the education system and the more general social, economic, and political contexts that pertained during those years, 8.15 Emancipation, Korean War, and Post-war Rehabilitation period. We may summarize them in part by saying the reception in Korea of the American influence was done through educational ideas, policies, systems, and various aid programs. The social raison d'etre of architectural education in Korea has been to produce technologically skilled man in the sense of engineer.
