기능적 전기자극을 적용한 트레드밀 보행 훈련이 편마비 환자의 보행 속도와 보행 지구력, 에너지 소모지수에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Treadmill Training with FES on Walking Velocity, Gait Endurance, and Energy Expenditure Index of Hemiplegia Patients)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of Treadmill Training with FES(TTF) on walking velocity, gait endurance, and energy expenditure index(EEI) of hemiplegia patients with foot drop. Two subjects with hemiplegia participated in this study. They took walking excercise 5 times per week for 8 weeks. One time excercise spent 30minutes. The theraputic effect was evaluated by how many seconds they needed to walk 10 meters, how far they could walk for 12 minutes, and how much they spent energy in walking for 12 minutes. Two cases were examined before, after 4 week, and after 8 week, walking training. The results of this study are as follows; 1) Walking velocity : Case 1 increased from 0.52m/sec before walking training to 0.83m/sec after 8 weeks. Case 2 increased from 0.58m/sec to 0.92m/sec. 2) Gait endurance : Case 1 increased from 383.23m to 625.53m. Case 2 increased from 410.19m to 693.47m. 3) EEI : For comfortable walking condition, Case 1 decreased from 0.98beats/min to 0.71beats/min, and Case 2 decreased from 0.93beats/min to 0.68beats/min. For maximum walking condition, Case 1 decreased from 0.93beats/min to 0.67beats/min, and Case 2 decreased from 0.91beats/min to 0.61beats/min. The findings suggest that hemiplegia patients can improve their walking velocity, gait endurance and energy expenditure index through TTF.

트레드밀 보행훈련이 만성편마비 환자의 보행 속도와 보행 지구력에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Treadmill Training on Walking Velocity and Gait Endurance in patients with chronic hemiplegia)

  • Treadmill training is a new promising therapy in gait rehabilitation of patients with hemiplegia. The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of treadmill training on walking speed and gait endurance in patients with chronic hemiplegia. The subject of this includes twenty patients, who had suffered from chronic hemiplegia and were in the K rehabilitation center; each ten patients were randomly assigned to experimental or control group. Among twenty patients, one group of ten for experiment was treated with progressive speed increase treadmill ambulation traing besides conventional physical therapy(SITAT) while the rest ten for the controlled group was treated with conventional physical therapy(CPT) only, for 8 weeks alike. Before and after the foregoing 8 weeks training, walking velocity and gait endurance were measured to both groups. The data were analyzed by paired t-test. The results of this study are as follows; The SITAT and CPT showed the significant difference in walking velocity and gait endurance. As compared the rehabilitation of dependent varibles between the SITAT and CPT, SITAT showed the significant difference in walking velocity and gait endurance. The outcome suggest that patient with chronic hemiplegia can improve their walking velocity and gait endurance throught treadmill training.

접촉스포츠 참여가 은퇴 선수의 신경인지 점수와 이중과제 보행에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Participation in Contact Sports on Neurocognitive Scores and Dual-Task Walking in Retired Athletes)

  • Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of participation in contact sports on neurocognitive scores, dual-task walking velocity, and cognitive costs in retired athletes. Method: Forty-four retired athletes (mean age = 26.4±5.5 yrs) and thirty-eight controls (mean age = 26.1±4.9 yrs) participated in this study. Neurocognitive score was collected using computerized neurocognitive testing using RehaCom. Gait velocity was collected one single task, four dual-tasks, and two multi-tasks using Optogait. Mann-Whitney U test was performed to compared differences in cognitive scores among groups. A mixed-design two-way ANOVA and Bonferroni posthoc test were used to assess the effect of group and walking tasks for each condition. Results: The auditory divided attention of neurocognitive score of retired athletes was higher than the control group (p < 0.05). No statistical differences were observed in the other neurocognitive scores between groups. The changes in walking velocity and cognitive costs according to the dual-task walking tests differed between the two groups (p < 0.05). Conclusion: Although participation in contact sports did not affect the neurocognitive results of retired athletes, it could be confirmed that the reduction in walking velocity and an increase in cognitive costs during dual-task walking. Rather than observing only neurocognitive scores as a single evaluation item for cognitive evaluation of retired athletes in relation to daily life, the application of the dual-task gait test may provide useful information.

장애물 회피에 페널티 보행 속도 알고리즘을 적용한 여객선 승객 탈출 시뮬레이션 (Advanced Evacuation Analysis for Passenger Ship Using Penalty Walking Velocity Algorithm for Obstacle Avoid)

  • 본 논문에서는 여객선의 승객 비상 탈출 시뮬레이션을 구현하였다. 승객의 행동에 미치는 요인 중 연령, 성별을 고려하여 승객 개인의 보행 속도에 반영하는 속도 기반 모델을 사용하였다. 승객들의 집단 이동을 구현하기 위해 플로킹 알고리즘을 적용하였다. 장애물과의 충돌 회피 및 승객 간의 위치가 겹치는 현상을 방지하기 위해 페널티 보행 속도를 도입하였다. 이 알고리즘을 이용하여 여객선의 승객 탈출 규정인 IMO (International Maritime Organization) MSC (Maritime Safety Committee) Circ.1238에서 정의한 11가지 시험 문제에 적용하였다. 시험 문제를 통해 승객의 위치가 겹치는 현상이 없이 시뮬레이션 되는 것을 확인하였다.

노인들의 보행 능력과 신체적인 특성 간의 상관관계: 단면 연구 (The Relationship between Physical Characteristics and Walking Ability in Elderly: A Cross-Sectional Study)

  • 본 연구는 노인들의 신체적 특성이 보행 속도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보기 위하여 시행되었다. 연구대상자는 보조도구의 사용에 관계없이 독립보행이 가능한 노인 77명(남 38명, 여자 39명)을 대상으로 하였다. 상관분석과 단계적 다중 선형 회귀분석을 사용하여 신체적 특성(연령, 성별, 신장, 체중, 신체질량지수, 근육량, 허리/엉덩이둘레비, 심박수, 폐활량, 유연성, 최대산소섭취량, 눈감고 한발 서기)과 하지 근력(슬관절 신전근, 슬관절 굴곡근)이 보행 속도와 어떠한 관련성이 있는지 분석하였다. 보행 속도는 연령, 신장, 폐활량, 눈감고 한발 서기 시간, 슬관절 굴곡근 및 신전근의 근력과 상관관계가 있었다. 또한 슬관절 굴곡근에 의해 보행 속도는 27%로 설명력을 가지고 있었으며, 슬관절 신전근 변수가 추가되었을 때 설명력은 32%로 높아졌다. 이러한 결과는 노인의 보행 속도가 하지의 근력과 다양한 신체적 특성에 영향을 받는다는 것을 의미한다.

착용형 관성센서 및 인체 하지부 기구학 기반의 보행자 속도추정에 관한 연구 (Pedestrian Walking Velocity Estimation based on Wearable Inertial Sensors and Lower-limb Kinematics)

  • 본 논문은 하지부의 각 분절에 부착된 착용형 관성센서의 자세 및 각속도 정보와 하지부 기구학을 기반으로 착용자의 보행속도를 추정하는 방법에 관한 연구를 다룬다. 보행 주기 중 발바닥과 지면이 완전히 접촉되지 않는 구간에서는 골반부에 장착된 관성센서의 가속도 출력을 적분하여 보행속도를 추정할 수 있다. 이 때, 보행 시 골반부의 기울어짐으로 인하여 발생되는 가속도의 측정오차의 누적 영향을 최소화하기 위하여, 하지부 기구학을 기반으로 추정된 보행속도를 매 보행 주기마다 골반 관성센서의 가속도 출력신호 적분 초기값으로 갱신한다. 그 결과 6분 가량의 야외 보행 실험을 수행한 결과, 오차 누적에 의한 영향은 관찰되지 않았으며, 보행속도 추정 오차의 RMS는 0.08m/s 이하인 것으로 확인되었다.

  • This paper presents a gait control scheme for teleoperation of a quadruped-walking robot. In teleoperation of a walking robot, an operator gives a real-time generated velocity command to a walking robot instead of a moving trajectory. When the direction of the velocity command is changed, the periodic gait is not available because this requires an initial foot position . This paper proposes the aperiodic gait control scheme that can converge to a periodic gait Simulation results are given to demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed control scheme.

  • Modern society is an interaction between many different environments. It is important to the mutual relationships between people and especially between people and the environment. One of the mutual relationships between people and the environment is the traffic system, especially the traffic signals which give priority to pedestrian and traffic flow. Traffic signals for the pedestrian on the crosswalk contribute to a safe road environment for the pedestrian, while the traffic signals for the pedestrian running for the flickering of the green signal causes psychological stress. Therefore, this study investigated whether the walking velocity was influenced by the flickering of the green signal or not. Also, this study investigated whether the walking distance had an effect on the walking velocity of the elderly pedestrian or not. It was proved that the flickering of the green signal and the walking distance influenced the walking velocity and subjective sensitiveness according to the result of this study.

이족보행로봇의 동적보행과 역동역학 해석 (Dynamic Walking and Inverse Dynamic Analysis of Biped Walking Robot)

  • The dynamic walking and the inverse dynamics of the biped walking robot is investigated in this paper. The biped robot is modeled with 14 degrees of freedom rigid bodies considering the walking pattern and kinematic construction of humanoid. The method of the computer aided multibody dynamics is applied to the dynamic analysis. The equations of motion of biped are initially represented as terms of the Cartesian coordinates, then they are converted to the minimum number of equations of motion in terms of the joint coordinates using the velocity transformation matrix. For the consideration of the relationships between the ground and foot, the holonomic constraints are added or deleted on the equations of motion. The number of these constraints can be changed by types of walking pattern with three modes. In order for the dynamic walking to be stabilizable, optimized trunk positions are iteratively determined by satisfying the system ZMP(Zero Moment Point) and ground conditions.

트레드밀을 이용한 불완전 척수손상자 보행훈련의 사전 연구 (Preliminary Study of Ambulation Training on Treadmill in Patient with Incomplete Spinal Cord Injury)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of Treadmill Training on WISCI level, walking velocity, walking endurance, motor score and gait cycle of spinal cord injury patient with incomplete. Four subjects with spinal cord injury participated in this study. They took walking excercise 5 times per week for 8 weeks. One time excercise spent 30minutes. The theraputic effect was evaluated by WISCI level, walk 10 meters test, walk for 12 minutes test, motor score and gait cycle. Four subjects were examined before, after 8 week, walking training. Collected data were statistically analyzed by SPSS PC for Wilcoxon signed rank test. The results of this study are as follows; 1) In WISCI level, walking velocity, walking endurance and motor score, post - treatment score were higher compared to pre-treatment score with statistical significance(p<0.05). 2) In Rt SLS, DLSII and Lt SLS, post-treatment percentage were higher compared to pre-treatment percentage with statistical significance(p<0.05). but DLSI were not statistical significance(p>0.05). The findings suggest that spinal cord injury patients with incomplete can improve their WISCI level, walking velocity, walking endurance, motor score and gait cycle through Treadmill gait training.
