Mastership Passing Algorithm for Train Communication Network Protocol (철도 제어통신 네트워크 프로토콜에서 마스터권한 진달 기법)

  • TCN(Train Communication Network) adopts the master/slave protocol to implement real-time communication. In this network, a fault on the master node, cased by either hardware or software failure, makes the entire communication impossible over TCN. To reduce fault detection and recovery time, this paper propose the contention based mastership transfer algorithm. Slave nodes detect the fault of master node and search next master node using the proposed algorithm. This paper also shows the implementation results of a SoC-based Fault-Tolerant MVB Controller(FT-MVBC) which includes the fault-detect-logic as well as the MVB network logic to verify this algorithm.

  • Railway takes an important role of transporting massive passenger and freight. Accidents which occur related to trains have a risk of serious loss of lives, so those accidents need to be controlled urgently. Therefore moving picture transmission system is required which transmits exact information of moving picture of accident status to CTC and also communication line is also required with it. By using WTB line as a wayside transmission line, railway telephones, fax and train service information are provided to local offices. As transmission line improving project, optical cabling work is being processed by phases. Therefore optical fiber line is more effective way for a communicating way between stations than coaxial transmission line. This paper consider's connecting method when optical fibers is used for moving picture data transmission of train accidents and its problems.

  • 열차 통신의 목적은 분산 제어 시스템에서 빠르고 정확한 데이터 교환에 있다. 이를 위하여 개발되고 1999년 IEC와 IEEE에 의해 국제 규격으로 승인된 TCN(Train Communication Network)은 차량간 통신 버스인 WTB(Wired Train Bus)와 차량내 통신 버스인 MVB(Multifunction Vehicle Bus)의 이중 계층 구조로 구성되며 TCN의 데이터 서비스는 프로세스 데이터, 메시지 데이터, 관리용 데이터의 세가지 데이터 서비스로 구분된다. MVB는 전송 가능한 데이터 서비스에 따라 디바이스의 클래스가 나눠지게 된다. 본 논문에서는 MVB에서 버스 마스터의 프레임에 따라 데이터를 보낼 수 있는 슬레이브 컨트롤러의 구성과 시뮬레이션을 통해 구현된 장치의 기능이 국제 표준의 제안사항들을 따르고 있는 지 증명한다.

Application of self-healing technique to fibre reinforced polymer wind turbine blade

  • This paper presents a novel concept of healing some of the damages in wind turbine blades (WTBs) such as cracks and delamination. This is achieved through an inherent functioning autonomous repairing system. Such wind turbine blades have the benefit of reduced maintenance cost and increased operational period. Previous techniques of developing autonomous healing systems uses hollow glass fibres (HGFs) to deliver repairing fluids to damaged sites. HGFs have been reported with some limitations like, failure to fracture, which undermines their further usage. The self-healing technique described in this paper represents an advancement in the engineering of the delivery mechanism of a self-healing system. It is analogous to the HGF system but without the HGFs, which are replaced by multiple hollow channels created within the composite, inherently in the FRP matrix at fabrication. An in-house fabricated NACA 4412 WTB incorporating this array of network hollow channels was damaged in flexure and then autonomously repaired using the vascular channels. The blade was re-tested under flexure to ascertain the efficiency of the recovered mechanical properties.

Continuous Operation of $CO_2$/NOx-free 50kW Checmial-Looping Combustor ($CO_2$/NOx-free 50kW 매체순환식 가스연소기 산화-환원 연속반응 실증)

  • For gaseous fuel combustion with inherent $CO_2$ capture and low NOx emission, chemical-looping combustion(CLC) may yield great advantages of savings of energy to $CO_2$ separation and suppressing the effect on environment. In chemical-looping combustor, fuel is oxidized by metal oxide medium (oxygen carrier particle) in a reduction reactor. Reduced particles are transported to oxidation reactor and oxidized by air and recycled to reduction reactor. The fuel and the air are never mixed, and the gases from reduction reactor, $CO_2$ and $H_2O$, leave the system as separate stream. The $H_2O$ can be easily separated by condensation and pure $CO_2$ is obtained without any loss of energy for separation. The purpose of this study is to demonstrate inherent $CO_2$ separation and no NOx emission and to confirm high $CO_2$ selectivity, no side reaction (i.e., carbon deposition, hydrogen generation) by continuous reduction and oxidation experiment in a 50kWtb chemical-looping combustor. NiO/bentonite particle was used as a bed material and $CH_4$ and air were used as reacting gases for reduction and oxidation respectively.

  • The Train Networks has a goal which requires the fast and correct data communication for distributable equipment systems. For this, in 1999, some train makers had established the standard TCN(IEC61375-1) for the inter-operating between equipment systems. Recently, TCN is being used in EU, China and the requirement to use it is growing up by many other countries more and more. The TCN was adopted at Korea High-speed Train with first in Korea, and Rotem Company finished the design of TCMS with TCN network for Istanbul EMU and KTX-2 Train and tests them. TCN(Train Communication Networks) defines the set of communication vehicle buses and train buses. The MVB(Multifunction Vehicle Bus) defines the data communication interface of equipment located in a vehicle and the WTB(Wire Train Bus) defines the data communication interface between vehicles. This paper examines whether the result of on-board test is satisfied with the IEC61375-1(International Electrotechnical Commission 61375-1) which is the international standard of TCN and introduce the results.

Influence of Meal Kits Selection Attributes on Willingness to Buy At-home Concept and Eating-out Concept Meal Kits (밀키트 선택속성이 내식/외식 컨셉의 밀키트 제품 구매의사에 미치는 영향)

  • This study aimed to examine the different factors affecting the intention to purchase meal kits between at-home concept meal kits and eating-out concept meal kits. An online survey was conducted with 565 Korean participants including meal kit experienced (n=412) and non-experienced (n=153). Meal kits selection attributes were organized into five factors, health, price, environmental protection, convenience, and familiarity. To verify the hypothesis, SPSS Statistics 23 was used. The main results can be summarized as follows. First, in the case of the at-home menu, convenience(p < .01), environmental protection(p < .05), and familiarity(p < .01) show positive influences on willingness to buy. Second, for the eating-out menu, health(p < .001) and convenience(p < .001) have positive effects on willingness to buy, but familiarity(p<.01) has a negative effect. This is the first study to categorize the menu of meal kits and investigate each factor affecting willingness to buy. Therefore, the results can offer useful guidelines to meal kit marketers letting them know the consumers' purchase behaviors.
