Ocular and facial dimensions of old aged Korean II (한국 노인 눈의 외부 측정 II)

  • The mersurements of the inter outer canthal distance (IOCD), inter temporal distance (ITD), width palpebral fissure (WPF), position and shape of upper eyelid were followed in 533 healthy Korean between ages 60 and 90. The measurements of the ITD in male was 122.2 mm, and in female was 118.5 mm, and its was greater than, the average of the IOCD about 31 mm. The measurement of IOCD in the eighties was decreased about 6 mm more than the sixties. The average of Fold Upper Lid(FUL) was 4.7 mm, and its size in male was longer than in female. The Double Upper Lid(DUL) in male was appeared more than in female. The measurement of WPF in male(7.6mm) was larged than in female, and its size was decreased at advancing ages, The upper lid was sited in limbus of eyeball.

  • Currently, with the development of web 2.0 knowledge sharing system became more and more important. In this paper, we proposed and implemented seminar assistant system using database system and knowledge sharing system on public seminar. We recorded speaker's voice and presentation files on our system and user can review past talks on our seminar review systems. Our database system is implemented using MS SQL, and Input/Output Completion Port(IOCP) socket model as our server side network module. Also we used presentation software using Direct Show with MFC and Windows Presentation Foundation(WPF). and our review system is based on WFP programmed with C# language.

3D Visualization System for Realtime Environmental Data (실시간 환경데이터를 이용한 3차원 시각화 시스템)

  • The ocean ecosystem and the marine farms were damaged after latest oil spill in Taean. They suffered heavily due to the expansion of the red tide on the coast and the sudden changes in water temperature. We should develop the way to deal with various factors to reduce the damage. In this paper, real time data with which are supplied us through many kinds of sensors on measure equipments will be processed to the visualized shape. Simple numeric data and 2D graph will be changed 2D or 3D graphic objects and animations using WPF, a new effect method in user interface area. This visualization system for environmental data shows us various pictures and offers multimedia data communication.

Design of Improved UI of Automatic Parking Management System using License Plate Recognition (번호판 인식을 통한 자동 주차관리 시스템의 개선된 UI 설계)

  • Recently, due to advances in both imaging technology and ICT, various types of image processing services became available and the application services of these two technologies are diversifying. Recognition of vehicle license plates is used in places where vehicle information is needed such as in parking management. However, existing systems have economic disadvantages like issuing parking tickets and attaching unnecessary equipment. In order to solve these problems, we designed and implemented automatic parking management system through recognition of vehicle license plates by using emguCV that is based on OpenCV. Additionally, we designed improved UI to handle the entire parking management situation which include information such as details of each parking vehicle, parking time and remaining parking spaces without screen movement. This improved UI is implemented with the use of WPF which is the latest technology in user program development. The emguCV used in this paper showed the most optimized performance in Intel based environment. With it, we obtained the result of within 0.5 seconds of recognition processing time and over 90% of recognition rate. Through improved UI, the manager could both simply and intuitively manage the entire system.

Ocular Complication and Dimension in Leprosy Patients (나환자의 눈합병증과 외부측정)

  • The measurement of the inter outer canthal distance(IOCD), inter inner canthal distance(IICD), width palpebral fissure (WPF) and distribution of cataract, corneal abnormality and palpebral abnormality-were followed in III Korean in leprosy patient. The average dimension of IOCD was in male 89.9 mm and in female 88.4 mm, IICD were in male 36.9 mm and female 35.8 mm, and LPF was in male 52.9 mm, female 52.6 mm. The IOCD and LPF were decreased but IICD was not 29.7%, palpebral abnormality was 19.4% and corneal abnormality was 37.8%. These data were not changed by sex but increased by age. So the causes of visual impairment int the disease were corneal abnormalities that were the most common complications.

  • 최근 많이 활용되고 있는 라즈베리파이에 기반한 임베디드 시스템을 구축함에 있어서 사용자는 회로에 대한 이해와 하드웨어 비용이라는 측면에서 어려움을 갖게 되는 경우가 많다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 시스템을 가상으로 테스트할 수 있는 솔루션을 제안하고자 한다. 개발된 프로그램은 사용자가 실제 회로를 구성하는 것과 같이 가상의 공간에서 모듈을 배치하고 모듈 간에 선을 연결하는 것으로 회로를 구성하고 동작을 테스트할 수 있다 프로그램은 회로편집기, 인터프리터, 시뮬레이터의 세 가지 요소로 구성되어 있으며 전체 9개의 모듈을 제공하고 있다. 각각의 모듈은 제조사에서 제공하는 데이터 시트와 제원을 바탕으로 실제 회로 테스트를 거쳐 추상화하는 작업을 수행하였다. 개발된 프로그램의 품질수준을 한층 끌어올린다면 비용절감과 학습, 교육 측면에서 유용하게 이용될 수 있으며, 전기물리엔진의 구현, 실제 보드로 포팅이 가능한 수준의 인터프리터, 시뮬레이션 로직의 일반화가 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

  • 최근 들어 클라우드 컴퓨터의 도입에 있어 보안 및 개인정보보호가 핵심적인 요구사항으로 주목받고 있으며, 국내외 여러 조직에서는 클라우드 컴퓨팅 환경에서의 개인정보보호의 중요성을 인식하여 전사적이고 체계적인 접근법에 기초한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 클라우드 컴퓨팅의 보안을 다룬 NIST SP 800-144 문서를 기반으로 정보보호관리체제 (ISMS)에 대한 국제표준인 ISO 27002의 통제내용음 분석하고 이를 KISA-PIMS의 통제내용과 연결하여 도출하였다. 더불어, IPC 및 WPF등 해외에서 연구한 클라우도 컴퓨팅 개인정보보호 위험 및 요구사항을 KISA-PIMS의 통제목적과 비교 분석하는 한편, 클라우드 컴퓨팅 개인정보보호의 향후 연구 과제를 제시하고자 한다.

  • Although data analysis in earlier days had been sufficiently done only by character user interface, users of these days are more used to the graphic user interface and the requirements for the user interface are gradually varying and increasing. In order to meet users' various wants and needs and to develop well-equipped interface, not only software developers but also professional designers who can complement the technique of the developers are needed. But in reality there are many restrictions and difficulties for developers and designers to work together cooperatively. Moreover, developing user interface in use of 3D type of graphics and animation techniques causes the rise of the developing cost. The thesis attempts to design and implement 3D visualization for real-time sensor data collected by the various environmental sensor and measuring devices, by using WPF (Window Presentation Foundation) which can make both developers and designers work together cooperatively and which makes it possible to implement various multimedia functions such as a 2D and 3D type of graphics, animation techniques, and an acoustic effect.

Hybrid Communication Network Architectures for Monitoring Large-Scale Wind Turbine

  • Nowadays, a rapid development in wind power technologies is occurring compared with other renewable energies. This advance in technology has facilitated a new generation of wind turbines with larger capacity and higher efficiency. As the height of the turbines and the distance between turbines increases, the monitoring and control of this new generation wind turbines presents new challenges. This paper presents the architectural design, simulation, and evaluation of hybrid communication networks for a large-scale wind turbine (WT). The communication network of WT is designed based on logical node (LN) concepts of the IEC 61400-25 standard. The proposed hybrid network architectures are modeled and evaluated by OPNET. We also investigate network performance using three different technologies: Ethernet-based, WiFi-based, and ZigBee-based. Our network model is validated by analyzing the simulation results. This work contributes to the design of a reliable communication network for monitoring and controlling a wind power farms (WPF).
